Thanks for the new thread Wolf. After a rainy morning, the skies cleared and it was dry and sunny and windy for the colour run. It was a lot of fun. DD's friend did it too (one of the girls who was causing problems during the week - they would appear to be on good terms again ) so the two girls ran off together and I followed behind at a more sedate pace. I robbed one of DH's white t-shirts (he buys them in multi packs) and wore a cheap pair of leggings from Penneys and an old pair of runners, so I can bin them all without feeling guilty. We had showers and washed our hair when we got back but the back of DD's neck is still green and yellow. I'll have to get at it with some wipes before she goes to bed.

Today is (I think) catfaces two year anniversary of being part of our family. She’s had some chicken cooked for her dinner.

Jam that's a great achievement! I'd be shouting it from the rooftops, if it was me.

Wolfcub · 09/09/2018 21:12

Argh. I really need a wee but my shopping is due - bloody single parent annoyances.

Mammy I saw your other thread in active convos and read your last post. I hope you are ok.

Tayto that sounds like great fun

Placemarking. Thanks for new thread. The old one filled up quickly! Let's see if I can keep up this time!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 09/09/2018 21:52

jam well done, you are so inspiring with your exercise, I def want to get back to running once my neck feels better.

wolf hope you didn't wet yourself waiting for the shopping! !

seacow such a cute pics! Hope your feet are okay.

Glad the orchestra thing went okay summer

cag that's great you're in demand for the lessons, I wish I had a teachable skill for some extra money.

I've got loads of bulbs to plant but my back/neck isn't up to it atm, might try and get back to the dr tomos as I'm really not feeling any better. I hate being like this 😟

ChristmasSeacow · 09/09/2018 22:33

Oh Girlie I really feel for you Sad

Glad the orchestra thing went well Sunny

Tayto that sounds like fun. It might even have tempted me to break into a run Wink

I am enjoying the appreciation of my faceless DD 😂, thanks everyone. I’d love you all to see how cute she actually is at the moment! I think she might actually be at the BEST age right now for cuteness. And because of that she’s able to turn on the charm, and she knows it. Today she tipped the remains of her roast dinner on the floor and then looked at me with a massive grin and said ‘naughty pickle!’ . And later, when I wagged my finger at her for trying to bite me, she leaned forwards and bit my wagging finger! I think she’s going to be a handful. But, biting aside, I am enjoying her so much at the moment. I will be really sad when I go back to work but ask me again at dinner time tomorrow

Bit of self care here this evening - I’ve had a lovely foot soak and scrub and have painted my toenails. A vast improvement on the previous tatty mess! And I’ve filed my fingernails and put some Nail Envy on for strength. They are quite weak and our long road trip, with all the loading and unloading of the car, left them a broken raggedy mess. Time to take some pride again!

DH is going back to work tomorrow after 7 weeks off with us all. It’s going to be back to reality with a smack, for all of us!

WreckTangled · 10/09/2018 05:39

Eugh I'm awake so early.

Girlie how long have you given the medication?

Sea it's such a cute age Smile

mammynowanauntyIRL · 10/09/2018 05:50

Thanks wolf I am ok but it's the not knowing what's going to happen next that's the hard part, he's a loose cannon

Wolfcub · 10/09/2018 07:40

Mammy glad you are ok, we are here if you need support
I am really not feeling Monday. The weekend seems to have been a blur. Ds is currently playing with his nerf gun rather than dressing for school. I have issued one reminder other than that I’m staying out of it.
Ocado order delivered last night and put away. New pillow for ds missing so will have to reorder. He appears to have eaten his and it was only four months old!

Blimey you guys talk fast, I can’t keep up!

Got back from the festival yesterday, it was brilliant. Highlights for me were Cast and Shed Seven, both were amazing. Absolutely knackered yesterday, but it was really nice for DH and I to spend some time together and just be us.

Annoying thing happened money wise. I ordered DS1 2 pairs of trackie bottoms from JD. When they arrived, I’ve been charged for 2 pairs but only 1 pair in the parcel! So now I’ve got to go through their ‘procedure’ to find out what’s happened. Because obviously it’s their word against mine. First thing is to fill in sign and email back a form. And then wait i guess....

ememem84 · 10/09/2018 08:41

Morning all.

I’m home today. Throat is very painful. So am staying home. Have text boss and have told him that I’m staying here and to text if he needs me to check emails. If i don’t feel well tomorrow I’m going to dr.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 10/09/2018 09:57

That is annoying curls glad you had fun at the festival though.

Sorry to hear your throats not good em

wreck not currently taking anything as couldn't get on with the naproxen and the nerve pain has been a bit better so don't want to take the amitriptyline. I've just had half hour telephone consultation with a physio, she was very nice and has given me some good advice.

Think will try and see the dr tomos though as am not confident about going back to work yet.

Anyway my friend has offered to take me to aldi which is kind as I can't carry any shopping. Otherwise another quiet day here.

WreckTangled · 10/09/2018 10:22

The only free after school club dd wanted to do is all full. She's going to be so upset Sad

ememem84 · 10/09/2018 10:53

I’m spending the morning pinteresting. I’ve found some lovely wallpaper for ds’ new room. Map of the world stuff. It’s beautiful. Custom made to fit the wall...£36 psqm so spendy. But beautiful.

I’m also looking into premium bonds.

I have just under 2 weeks until I get paid again. Payday is 21st. I have another riding lesson to pay for £30, an eye test and possibly new glasses (I apparently have expensive taste...my last ones were Chanel frames...but suit my face). Work will pay for the eye test and up to £50 for the frames. So that’s good.

Also have a nail appointment at some point next week (I think...) must check this out.

SummerDaize · 10/09/2018 11:20

I'm sorry to hear about the after school club Wreck. That's a real shame.

WreckTangled · 10/09/2018 11:38

Thanks. Ds is going to his first every after school club tonight (football) I hope he's ok! I'm going to say to dd that whilst ds is doing his after school club we can have a biscuit and do her homework together. Maybe some 1:1 time is what she needs.

SummerDaize · 10/09/2018 11:45

That sounds nice. Smile

CurlsandCurves · 10/09/2018 12:25

Sounds like a good plan wreck, some quality mum and daughter time.

ememem84 · 10/09/2018 12:37

BOots order done £14 nappies.

Also set up premium bonds. Transferred £100 to them to get the ball rolling (this was the minimum investment...). Had some savings so used this.

QuitelovesStrictly · 10/09/2018 12:43

Curls
Check the packaging for weight and send them a picture .
Worked for me when I got one thing instead of two.

SummerDaize · 10/09/2018 12:50

Going to that orchestra last night has left me with a powerful urge for emotional spending. That's not good. Must resist.

CurlsandCurves · 10/09/2018 12:50

quite that’s a brilliant idea, I’ll definitely do that. Genius!

QuitelovesStrictly · 10/09/2018 13:02

Why thank you 😎Curls
Weigh your trackies and send a pic on the scales as well.
The snottycustomer services person was speechless when I told them I would send pics of both .

ememem84 · 10/09/2018 14:37

Curiouser and curiouser. The lawyers emailed me the inventory for the new house last week. Underfloor heating apparently in the kitchen.

Questioned this, as it isn’t mentioned in the agents particulars, and the lawyers answer is “vendors lawyers have confirmed underfloor heating throughout”

Have had to go back and question what “throughout” means. To me it means the entire house. But it could mean just the kitchen. Or just the ground floor.

And if it is indeed there - why why why have they got so many radiators...?!
