Still waiting for my call back. Previously when I called for advice for DD it took over four hours. Really hoping they give me an appointment at the out of hours clinic at the hospital about 3 miles away. But you have to have an appointment. Otherwise it’s going to be braving the walk in clinic further away and it could take ages and at this rate the GP tomorrow might be preferable

WreckTangled · 25/03/2018 10:29

We're at be local farm park. So far £4 on tokens for pony ride and quad bikes and £2.47 for a coffee.

ememem84 · 25/03/2018 10:38

Dh is on fire today. “Look ds look st Mummy and catface being lazy in bed”

ememem84 · 25/03/2018 10:39

Asked him why I’m lazy. He’s walked away and has promised another cup of tea. Ha!

QuiteCleanBandit · 25/03/2018 10:43

Woke up 9.30 Smile
Porridge and coffee with Dcat snuggled ON my chest Confused
Sausages, yorkies, veg, gravy for dinner -DH cooking .

QuiteCleanBandit · 25/03/2018 10:47

Your DH Hmm em
Not on to be like that and ruin your "time off"being an arse .
I have friends whos DH did this .
Also my "DP"did this if DH so much as lifted a finger if we were at their house Hmm

ememem84 · 25/03/2018 10:55

He says he was just trying to be funny. Maybe he was and maybe I’m just not in the mood for funny.

Either way. I have another cup of tea and ds is playing with him. I have pointed out that if I’m in the room ds automatically searches me out. And won’t focus on anyone else. So it’s to dh’s benefit that I’m still in bed. Concentrated daddy ds time.

ememem84 · 25/03/2018 10:55

catface IS lazy though

QuiteCleanBandit · 25/03/2018 11:06

Pahaha!
DH said exactly the same thing (about something else) this week
My face said it all 😐
Yes Dcat is very lazy-apparently 89% of people would swap places with their cat Grin

ememem84 · 25/03/2018 11:34

On the plus side Dh has just made breakfast/brunch - croissants with bacon and fried eggs. Le yum. So buttery.

I’ve slinked back to bed to have a final cup of tea. And will then have a shower and get up.

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/03/2018 11:46

Has anyone tried an online doctor before where you pay for a video appointment with a gp? I do object to the paying bit due to the nhs being free, but if I can show someone my throat from my bed it is very appealing!

WreckTangled · 25/03/2018 11:52

I'm not sure you'll get a good enough picture. It's definitely the way forward though. In the next few years it'll be common place I reckon.

Laska5772 · 25/03/2018 12:54

love can u you bear to gargle? when i had the fishbone throat prob I gargled soluble paracetamol and codeine (from boots on brand cheaper|) it hurt doing so because it was a stuck bone but certainly helped ..

Just eaten yummy left over from last night (we didn't make too much food - just a few small plates) . Anyway brunch t this morning was roasted pepers nd chorizo with pea/ ricotta dip in a tortilla wrap ! Le Yumbo

I had another Negroni ( with tonic) last night. This is now my absolute favourite drink ever ever ever.. Smile

I have bought a pair of blush pink adidas trainers this morning ever practical

mammymammyIRL · 25/03/2018 13:07

Girlie/lifelong there's a place in our village who renovates furniture and she does a sale most Wednesday and has done larder presses before. Will keep an eye on Facebook closer to the time too.

Em your dh is being a bit of a Dick compared to yesterday, does he think because he arranged for you to attend hen do last night he's earned massive brownie points because he hasn't he got a night out too Hmm

Wolfcub · 25/03/2018 13:08

Grrrr I’ve just completely exhausted myself cleaning to come in from helping dh to old the car for the tip to discover ds (old enough to know better) has walked through the house in his filty garden shoes

ememem84 · 25/03/2018 13:09

Almost as practical as my coral coloured canvas shoes laska (I’ve just realised I’ve been spelling your name wrong forever. Get the s and k the wrong way round...Oopsy) your brunch sounds delish though!

I’m up showered and dressed. Have slathered myself in sweet lotus body lotion. And am now regretting it. Too sweet. Too flowery. Ick. Have thrown the stuff away but will soldier on today. (Am attempting to use up all beauty products before I buy new so one down on the body moisturiser category today!)

Have been looking at finances this morning (as well as listening to any answers from yesterday’s radio 4). If the flat doesn’t sell we have a couple of options. Option a is to let our mortgage flick onto the variable rate and frugal our asses off (without damaging our naice lifestyle) to pay it off in the next 12 months. Dh reckons it’s doable. (I say 18 months and we’ll be mortgage free but what’s a few months between friends...). Then sell and take all sales proceeds into deposit for new house.

Option b is to refix (for however long gives us the best rate) pay the minimum we have to each month save a deposit then buy and rent the apartment for the rest of the fixed term before selling.

The aim has always been to be mortgage free completely by the time we’re both 45. So another 13 years. We’ve been here 8 this September and have paid down around 60% of the capital. Either way serious frugalling and saving will need to happen.

WreckTangled · 25/03/2018 13:12

Home now. £2.70 on doughnuts and £2.40 on emergency socks. I'm in love with the calves

mammy nah I think the stress of everything is just hit him - flat sale, ds going to nursery, funeral, mils impending visit, me going back to work etc.

I’m grateful he pushed me to go as I probably wouldn’t have gone otherwise. And trust me, he’s had plenty of nights out but he’s always wanted to come home early (around 11ish) so he is fresh for the next day to be with ds.

We’re all stressed here I’m chalking it up to that. Pointed out that at least he can go to work tomorrow and get away from the chaos that is our half packed limbo Home. I have to stay in and wait for the plumber.

In other news. This is my “ebay Bargain but stank of smoke dress” it’s maybe a smidge on the short side. But I. Don’t. Care. #nottooshortifyoucantseemypants

Beautiful wreck jerseys?!

Loveabaconsandwich · 25/03/2018 13:15

Tried an online doctor but the video call wouldn’t connect Sad The technical people did try to help, but I have the latest software on my phone, and then the doctor said he couldn’t do a normal phone call based on my symptoms. I could try another appointment, but we worked out that the pharmacy any prescription would be going to closes at 2pm so may as well wait for tomorrow. If it had worked it would have potentially been quick and easy!

NHS111 rang to say they have very high call volumes and i’m still on the list. I expect I will be better by the time they call Grin That is my aim, not a dig at the NHS!

SnugglySnerd · 25/03/2018 13:21

Em we are wearing almost identical outfits today!

Our day has been completely ruined by the clocks changing. Of course babies don't understand so meals and naps have all been at odd times. Why can't the clocks just stay the same all year?

WreckTangled · 25/03/2018 13:22

Yes em! So cute. They had baby goats jumping around too

Wolfcub · 25/03/2018 13:30

I love calves, the herd that lives behind our house should be back soon once the milder weather kicks in

Laska5772 · 25/03/2018 13:32

em many eons ago ( about 1998 when i first got an internet name, I did originally mean it to be Laksa , but i spelt it wrong !!! But stuck with Laska when my Czech friend told me it meant 'cute girl' in Czech! Smile.

Em , difficult , but I think in your place id go for moving still, . that way you will have house before prices go up more , and garden for DS etc etc .. and maybe room for another baby its always a struggle, but i think having a house you go could possibly extend sometime, and no leasehold . flat management issues . might be better? esp as DS gets bigger and needs extra room..

My 93 yr old mother is going downhill. . she is not ill as such but doing less and less and wanting to do nothing, sleeping a lot , just is fading really. . My DSD is not coping very well emotionally (of course) although he is well still drives looks after himself ( DB lives at home so house being looked after ok) , we are getting all the help we can but .... . what can I say? Sad ..

ememem84 · 25/03/2018 13:38

If we don’t sell in 2 weeks laska we will hold until the autumn anyway (we saw from last year that people aren’t interested in our place unless it’s got outside space in summer and also the fire cert issue will prevent a sale anyway).

So it’ll automatically flip to variable rate and we can do a massive lump sum payment anyway. Dh reckons we can throw around £40k a nice amount at the mortgage once his shares from work pay out and taking into account about half of our savings.

We do want a house. The way things are going here we anticipate a dramatic lowering of prices in the next few years. So hopefully we sell in the next 2 weeks and then can buy. And we miss it. For buying a price fall would be great. Not so much for selling.

snuggly yeah!!!! Great minds!

wreck goats?! Love a goat.
