Oh no love poor you! Did you have a flu jab? When I had tonsillitis I couldn't get out of bed that was bad enough on its own!

I'm at the spa just had a lovey facial could fall asleep now though

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2018 18:54

I’ve been like that and had antibiotics. It was like a fire extinguisher putting out a fire in my throat. I’d see a dr tm morning before it spreads to your ears love.

WreckTangled · 23/03/2018 19:03

I agree abx are needed when it's that bad.

SunnyLikeThursday · 23/03/2018 19:11

Sorry to hear that love. Sounds very hard. Hope it gets better soon. Agree on the GP appointment, though how you pull that off if you can't get to the loo is a bit of a question. Good luck there and take care.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2018 19:19

You get your oh to prop you up and magically go in next despite having two patients in front of you when you checked in on the machine Grin

Nobody wants patients that ill waiting around looking like death. Bad for business.

CremeEggThief · 23/03/2018 19:29

Poor you, Love. Sounds horrendous.

mammymammyIRL · 23/03/2018 20:14

Moan you've got me coveting a combi pressure/slow cooker now!

mammymammyIRL · 23/03/2018 20:14

Sorry everyone else I've not read the thread since sometime yesterday

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/03/2018 20:58

Get well soon love

ememem84 · 23/03/2018 21:50

love get well soon! Xx

girlie in my experience (and a lot of other people I know in rl) don’t go to M&S for a bra fitting.

I have a slow cooker (which I love) and an instant pot thing. Which dh thinksnis the best thing ever. I’m unconvinced. But then I’ve never actually used it. It makes nice dinners though....

Funeral is over. We went to the wake which was crazy busy. Ds did amazing. Carried him into a ridiculously noisy and crowded pub. He held on tight had a good look around and then smiled at everyone. He was chatty and happy and lovely. My friend appreciated it.

Tomorrow I’m riding then have a hen party to go to in the evening. Dh is forcing me to go out even though I only know the bride, they will all be drunk by the time I get there. I’m meeting them at 930pm. Dh is taking me out for dinner. He knows that if we have dinner here I won’t go out. So dinner and he’ll drop me off and then I can taxi home.

WreckTangled · 23/03/2018 22:04

Eek girlie avoid m&s! Have you got a Debenhams or John Lewis?

Am home £55 spa evening. Was good.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2018 06:49

It’s lovely when babies hold tight like that.

Girlie M&S are a bit crap. You can measure at home & ask the style and beauty board to help you. M&S would put me in a 34A. I’m a 28DD/E depending on the style of the bra.

Love How are you?.

Dark Hows the saving going?.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/03/2018 06:56

I went to M&S yesterday and it seemed to work out okay. Definitely better than before at least. Maybe I will try somewhere else another time.

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/03/2018 07:10

I got quite a lot of sleep. Waiting for DP to wake up so I can have an ice lolly. Awful fever, I got DP to help me change into fresh clothes last night, fell asleep and was then so sweaty he had to change my clothes an hour later. I don’t think I can make it out of the house to go to the doctor today.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/03/2018 07:16

That doesn't sound fun at all Love. Maybe your dp could ring the out of hours GP and ask for advice at least? It definitely one of the weird things I've found is that when we most need to see a doctor, it's usually the hardest time to actually get to one.

WreckTangled · 24/03/2018 07:19

Love please phone 111 and explain how unwell you are.

Need to go food shopping today. Might go to Lidl for a change (and the bakery!)

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2018 07:46

Yes that’s very true Sunny.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/03/2018 07:50

Sainsbury's today but not for much. Will still be a fortune though.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/03/2018 07:52

Do you think that Rigby and Peller or John Lewis would be better for bra fittings? We have both and they're next door to each other. I'm not convinced by my M&S one any more. Considering a mission this morning to try to do better.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2018 08:03

There supposed to be good, bravissimo are great but everyone thinks there’s a bouncer on the door & you have to have huge boobs to be allowed in.

You see loads of women in the summer wearing bras far too big at the back and too small in the cup.

It’s frustrating M&S still add 4/5 inches to bras. They have a huge market share & could really change things if they wanted too.

Unescorted · 24/03/2018 08:10

Morning my lovelies. I carried all you good wishes with me to my interview. Thanks. It went ok. I think. But I waffled in the mid section. Saw one of the other candidates and he is good. We find out next week.

Love that sounds awful.

Cag it is lovely when you get a cheeky snuggle from your baby. I still cherish them even though mine are 13 &16 now. They both still try to curl up on my lap.

I saw my GP about my eye referral - she called the specialist at our local hospital who told her to bypass them and refer direct to the unit in Sheffield (there are only 2 of these in the country...). I am pleased and worried at the same time. The practical side of me is googling eye patch patterns.....

I have been asked to bake a cake for our work charity cake sale on Monday....I have worked out it will cost more for me to make than it will raise. I am tempted to donate the money and save the faff.

mammymammyIRL · 24/03/2018 08:12

Going to try that bra intervention thing inspired by you ladies. I wear a 36B one black one nude bought in Debenhams following measuring Jan 17. They are the same bra just diff colours no other bra in the shop fitted me that day, I tried loads!

Cash rewards on my cc1 has reduced outstanding balance by €10, this balance is joint expenses.
Got my cashback on my just eat takeaway too €1.58
Small but still savings!

I'm not even going to attempt to catchup. Love get your dh to carry you to doctor if necessary, you sound worse than I did with flu in jan and I was bad SadThanksBrew

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/03/2018 08:21

Unescorted that's a fantastically practical approach. Well done. I wonder if there's anything really fun that you could do in Sheffield while you are there? We've started organising holidays around medical trips and it's actually quite good, weirdly. So far we've had dentistry in Ipswich and Eye specialist in Colchester. Not sure what's next.

Fluffy I just measured, and there's no way I'd get near a D, and that's the smallest that Bravissimo does. The internet thinks I'm a 34C the same as M&S, but I'm not convinced. This new bra is just like not having one on. TMI sorry.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/03/2018 08:24

Flippin' 'eck, I just looked at the prices in Rigby and Peller. Not likely. Shock

Unescorted · 24/03/2018 08:26

Fortunately Sheffield is not that far from us. It is a commutable distance. So I think I might just pack my walking boots and go for a bimble on the way home.
