Will catch up soon but below image is details of my spends.
Also €10 on 32 toilet roll in a petrol station
Dc spent their Penney's vouchers and two of the transactions are topping up their spends. I've told them they need to give it to me but dds was accessories for outfit for her birthday and ds got 2 tshirts and a toothbrush so I won't take money off them for those.
€11.50 in Penney's was 4 decorate an Easter egg kits, dc and au pairs other charges can do them some day this week and a roll of unicorn wrapping paper for dds birthday next week.
70c on parking & 70c to bag packers bucket
The dc are on holidays next two weeks so no bus money to pay out so this will negate Penney's spend this week and trip to open farm next week.

Got a voucher code for €17.50 off €150 in SuperValu so still spent €150 shopping budget but got €167.50 worth of stuff.
A couple of things were upgraded to more expensive brands and I was charged for the ones I ordered. Did click & collect and am missing 2 packs of frozen waffles so must email customer service now.

We just went on a mission to John Lewis. Ds says "Mum, the problem is you have no chest at all, and all these bras are huge". I thought that was funny. Smile What he means is that we couldn't find anything smaller than a B. LOL!

Loveabaconsandwich · 24/03/2018 15:30

My throat is marginally better so have managed two bowls of soup. Still melting away though. Hoping to make it to the shower in a bit and hopefully DP will change my bed sheets too #stinky

ememem84 · 24/03/2018 15:39

Sorting through ds’ clothes. He’s 6m today. How has that happened?!?! And where has my baby gone?! Waaaaa

He tried sweet potato this week. And carrot today. Mmmmm.

Wolfcub · 24/03/2018 15:51

Spendy day, went to buy some new trainers (I wear Skechers all the time unless I’m at work because they help my pain) haven’t been able to find what I want on line so went to the store, two pairs of trainers and ten pairs of socks later 😱 on the plus side there was 30% off one pair pf trainers when you bought two and 50% off one pack of socks. I have not spent that much on footwear since I bought nice Spanish boots the last time I got promoted. I also treated dh and ds to lunch. Need to give myself a kick in the arse

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/03/2018 16:01

Mim hi. Have you tried geo caching. Outside treasure hunts 😁

I jinxed the weather.... Washing is in the drier. I tried.
£68 in Aldi on mainly cleaning things wine and food for the weekend. How did I manage that? We have a clean bathroom now.

ALittleAubergine · 24/03/2018 16:42

We've got £2.47 until next Thursday, fridge freezer and cupboard nearly empty. Thankfully we do have some things and dh is amazing at coming up with things to cook from scraps. He's just made some cake from left over rice, smells delicious. I think I'll leave the cooking for him for now!

WreckTangled · 24/03/2018 16:59

Have you got any clubcard vouchers you could use? It's amazing what you can cook up with random bits from the cupboard and fridge

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/03/2018 17:22

Have had a nice day so far, my handy man chap only charged £20 which was a bargain as he was here and hour and did loads of little jobs! Dds room is now officially done 😊 and looks fab.

Have asked him to quote me how much he would charge for doing the flooring in my hallway, it's currently a light coloured carpet which is not practical at all!! I would like a hard wearing dark wood effect laminate instead, any recommendations on where to look anyone?

Welcome newbies.

Am hoping need is just super busy....

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2018 17:30

Wickes is doing discounts and there's a few bank holidays coming up so the diy chains usually do sales then.

The underlay is cheaper on eBay, loads cheaper. If it's a small area check eBay regularly for people selling off stuff when they've bought too much.

LonelyOversharer · 24/03/2018 17:40

We've had a brilliant day. Had my girls out in the garden with me. Dd3 all day, and dd1 for ages. As she's 15 she basically lives in her room, but to see her all day is a real treat for me!

We moved a raised bed, planted loads of spuds, planted courgette, spring onion and lettuce seeds.

We did go to sainsburys for rubber gloves (I found 5 left hand gloves only - how?) and spent £30 on treats and snacks and stuff. I did get lots of rubber gloves though.

And I've just used a batch of mortar to basically finish my wall. If the weather holds (doubtful) then my wall/path will be done tomorrow. It's only been 10 years...

LonelyOversharer · 24/03/2018 17:43

I've had ikea, b&q basic and wickes laminate over the years, all much of a muchness, all absolutely fine.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2018 17:43

My mum used to turn them inside out to make it fit the other hand.

SunnyLikeThursday · 24/03/2018 18:36

We have a Wickes wood floor GIrlie and it's really nice. They have a sale on here too and they do good sales.

Well done Lonely, that's brilliant about the wall.

LonelyOversharer · 24/03/2018 19:09

You know fluffy I've never thought of doing that! I wear those thin vinyl gloves underneath anyway, so it would never matter.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2018 19:58

I’m saving for wicked laminate for the stairs Sunny So that’s reassuring.

That’s a tight budget aubergine, yellow split peas are very cheap dried. You can do soups or Dahl type stuff with them.

£15 shop in Sainsburys. Dh is trying own brand cup a soups. Exciting times.

Wigwigeconomist · 24/03/2018 20:31

Just checking in!

We've been away. Need to look through the thread and catch up ....
