Casino ones are sooo boring fluffy ! Am currently fighting with casumo, trying to dlog through the bonus requirements before I go bust. I play starburst and steamtower as they pay quite well. Have you any favourites?

I sorted the laundry in thevend, which cleared up a big swathe of (clean) mess. And made food. Slow cooked lamb shoulder with pearl barley in the casseroley bit. Made butternut noodles, and spiralised chips/crisps to go on top. These are very mourish. Pudding was a crumble, scrumped blackberries and late raspberries, spiralised (see a theme) apple and the very sad peaches. So tasty!

Had to go to sainsburys as the milk was off Hmm turns out I'm the only one who knows it lives in the fridge. £16 on bits and bobs.

I was on 888bet bloodsuckers 🙄🙄. It took ages but it's £31 free so what can you. Apparently it's the rtp, return to player, that you need to check & bloodsuckers is 98%.

So, £58 betting, £5 nectar points from erewards.

£2 out in beer. Bought becks thinking low sulphite & its brewed in the uk so loaded with sulphites Hmm. Am itching all over. Fml.

Gah I am having such a shit evening. It's been one of those days where everything goes wrong and my anxiety is through the roof. I resisted the takeaway though so that's good. Just trying to figure out if I want to eat anything (other than the Ben and Jerry's which is compulsory on days like this) as I didn't have anything with the caglets.

It's nearly over Cag, tomorrow's another day & one nearer to DD2 making an appearance.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/08/2017 21:13

Hi pink

drspouse · 27/08/2017 21:39

Just popping in as I'm on a "save money as we can't sell our house and I want to go on holiday" drive. Specifically I want to go skiing but we may be looking at the difference between no holiday at all and a cheap summer package anyway!
We've switched supermarket deliveries to Morrison's and it seems pretty reasonable.
I'm going to start taking lunches to work, and DH is going to look into taking coffee making stuff.
I'm cutting way down on Christmas plans and trying to sell a whole load of old stuff.
Would like to do more baking/home made snacks. Any ideas for good savoury snacks to make at home?

drspouse · 27/08/2017 21:49

Oh I noticed while we were on holiday (s/c) that we went through washing liquid SO FAST. We use wash balls at home. Quite an eye opener.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/08/2017 22:41

£11 at the cinema, watched Dunkirk which was very good but quite stressful to watch.

Welcome to the newbies Smile

WreckTangled · 27/08/2017 23:26

Cheese scones are cheap and easy.

I'm majorly stressing about the house again. I just don't know if I can do it. If I say no I'm letting down the two other people in the three way swap but I don't know if I can do it to the children or move myself even further away from the few friends I have. Plus it's too hot to sleep so I have nothing else to do but worry. Ffs why can't we live somewhere cheap.

LonelyOversharer · 27/08/2017 23:53

Go and see the house wreck - if it's wrong it will feel all wrong. Then you can say no and nevermind anyone else. If the house is great then the rest will be okay.

I must be on another continent I'm not its chilly here, have a hoodie and joggies on. Only dd3 is asleep here. I must do something about sleep patterns before next week.

100yearsdotcom · 28/08/2017 00:25

Thanks love for the info.

Well done meadow

Sorry to hear about the tough days and losses Flowers

NSD here today thankfully.

WreckTangled · 28/08/2017 00:25

It's just sweltering here! Ds has been up with growing pains. He wouldn't lie on me because of my 'boobies' 😂 (too hot for clothes).

SunnyLikeThursday · 28/08/2017 06:18

Em I like your idea of justifying those clothes based on them lasting forever. Alas I suspect I would probably destroy them by some accident. They do look lovely. Oddly I do have a 15 year old M&S fleece that refuses to age. I wish other clothes did that.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/08/2017 06:40

You wreck, go and see the house. Don't decide when you are tired. Go see the schools to.

Hi drspouse.

National trust today. Going to make some scones funnily enough.

SnugglySnerd · 28/08/2017 07:21

Morning all!

Low spend weekend so far. Been doing gardening mainly. Went to Wilkos to stock up on cleaning stuff and spent about £16. Got loads for that though.

Going to make cakes today and maybe soup.

Weather is lovely isn't it? Enjoy the bonus day off today!

Loveabaconsandwich · 28/08/2017 07:29

Welcome dr and pink . Not much of a baker here but there are some people here who are great at it!

Hope you feel better today lonely . Has your new tablet arrived? You definitely need some alone time to play with that

DD almost 3, has taken to getting up around 1/2am demanding milk but then going back to sleep (in her own bed so slight improvement) until getting up at 6am. Urrrrgh

wreck agree with others that a house visit will likely make or break the decision. With the moving schools, the decision could make itself depending on whether you can get before/after/childminder care at a new school now? Tricky one. When do you have decide by and when would you move?

Loveabaconsandwich · 28/08/2017 07:32

meadow you truly are doing great. 9 to 5.30 is going to be tough after random uni hours and ad hoc work. Sometimes routine can be good though. But at least this week is a bank holiday! Sorry to hear the new place is being challenging too. But you are now closer to family (if I remember correctly) so major benefit there. Your first full time pay packet will be great too Star

needastrongone · 28/08/2017 08:46

Thank you guys for the sympathy. He was a lovely guy. Didn't have the most healthy life style in fairness, but still sad nevertheless.

Laska. I honestly never get sick of your posts, they cheer me up, I love the style of them, they seem very 'you', like you are not editing your life to post.

Lonely How are you feeling now? You food looks and sounds amazing.

Life You okay after last week?

Cag Flowers Take care you.

Wrecked Go and see the house. The decision you make has to suit YOU, not be done so as not to upset anyone else.

Another LSD looms for us, DH has to drive up to Scotland for work and I can't stand busy bank holiday places, so I'll take the dogs and any DC for a long walk in the country side.

ememem84 · 28/08/2017 09:56

sunny my dubarry boots have a lifetime guarantee. If at any point they need fixing etc I send them back and they fix or replace at no cost. So far they're worth their weight in gold. Same as my Barbour. I've had it since I was about 22/23 worn it loads and it's still in great condition.

Woke up at 9. Catface is concerned we think because we haven't gone to work. Haha! Shes been on bed with us meowing. Making scrambled eggs for breakfast/brunch in a bit then getting on with the day.

It's warm but a bit hazy here. Maybe go to the beach but may just potter here.

HollyTheHarrier · 28/08/2017 10:24

Sorry to hear about your bad day yesterday cag. Hope today is better for you

meadow congrats on getting through so much change and upheaval. Hopefully you can start to settle in soon

lonely your food always sounds incredible!

Not sure what I'll end up doing today. Need to do some work to get ahead of things a bit and work on the garden. Might go to the gym as well, I need to do more core strength work as running is destroying my back at the moment. Beautiful sunny day though ☀️ Have a good one everyone

MeadowHay · 28/08/2017 10:44

Thanks everyone. Yes I'm very pleased that I have such a long settling-in period at work as last week was mostly just training, and this week is four days, and next week we're on holiday so I get eased in quite gently which is good. My team have all been super welcoming and friendly which is what I was most worried about so that's great.

We've now discovered we have a clothes moth infestation. It's literally one thing after another in this flat so far, but then we've had that experience most places we've lived (private rented sector is SHIT). Sigh. Any tips on products we should buy to try and deal with this ourselves? Our council pest control don't offer any help or advice with it so not sure what to do. If we can't sort it ourselves will have to ask lettings agent but there's already a whole list of things we are waiting for them to deal with!

Wreck Definitely go and see the house and see what you think at least. I know it's super stressful moving and it must be way more so with kids etc.

Welcome to the newbies also!

Cagliostro · 28/08/2017 11:39

Welcome dr :)

Definitely view the house wreck Thanks it's a big scary thing but it could be amazing!

I have so much to do today.

OP posts:
LonelyOversharer · 28/08/2017 12:11

Worked until 2 as I knew no one would be up early! Have done 3 more hours this morning, and feel much calmer as I've caught up a bit. It's silly, I've been working so hard, to be given more work, and then fret as I've more work!

Going to savage the front hedge later. It's grown about 2 foot in all directions, its making getting out of the car difficult. So maybe a trip to the tip too...such excitement!

Over cast and windy here. I got a real whiff of autumn yesterday when I was blackberrying; I love autumn, but sad we haven't had much summer, again, this year.

SunnyLikeThursday · 28/08/2017 12:42

Gosh Em That sounds good. I suppose that doesn't cover accidental damage though does it?

needastrongone · 28/08/2017 12:47

lonely, I don't venture out on BH weekends either, too busy for me. I'm catching up, ironed, attacked the washing basket (8 loads last 2 days and counting....). Currently cleaning out the walk in wardrobe, which is getting fitted out on Friday.

Another 2 bags of charity stuff from that too.

Frugally decided not to go to the cinema with the DC, having dinner in and watching a film on Sky later.

Em, I've got Ariats. Super £££ but they are on my feet nearly 4 hours a day in winter, super supportive and warm. Never fail me. Having said that, unless you've dogs to walk and a muddy yard to frequent or other daily outdoor activities, then I'm not sure it's worth the expense.

Resale value on EBay is better tooSmile
