Same here life. I have scrunched up toes from wearing I'll fitting shoes as a child. So don't want that for my DCs feet.

Loveabaconsandwich · 29/08/2017 16:39

*ill fitting

Cagliostro · 29/08/2017 17:28

Back from afternoon tea! #stuffed
DSD took the Caglets to see Cars 3 and they had Maccy D after so I don't need to do dinner either. WIN!

Ah sorry about that. I have really good feet due to it being a thing with my DM too.
Feet and safety, my 2 no compromise.

SunnyLikeThursday · 29/08/2017 18:12

Em I did the under-2-hours labour too and I think it's the good option if you can get it.

You're right about the shock of it, because it was really astonishingly painful, but the gas-and-air took the pain away completely and utterly after three sucks on the pipe thing, for each contraction. It was really very good.

Also, when it's over, it's over, just like a wedding, and that's the job done.

needastrongone · 29/08/2017 18:39

Or that's the job just started, depending on your view point GrinGrin

Loveabaconsandwich · 29/08/2017 18:44

Sat on the beach, Isle of Wight in the distance, eating Harry Ramsdens

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2017 19:40

£1.06 qualifying bets, £14.30 in from matched betting. I figure around £15 a day is £450 a month I didn't have before.

Has anyone looked at food dehydrators? They'd be good for those of you with veg patches & come up cheap on eBay.

I hope your mums recovering Wreck

WreckTangled · 29/08/2017 19:43

Thanks fluffy she has been d/c. My friends boy looks set to be in for a week though.

Ds is trying to sleep and they kids outside are being so bloody loud.

Cagliostro · 29/08/2017 19:48

Glad your mum is home now wreck also thanks re low carb am definitely trying to cut back (although the afternoon tea my friend took me to today was errrrm not low carb...). Sometimes it's all I can stomach but I am trying to eat better generally. Definitely doing far better than previous pregnancies during which I was an eating machine with a giant constant sweet tooth!

Gas and air is great to knock yourself out on if you need stitches post birth too em and you can have as much as you need then Grin

ememem84 · 29/08/2017 19:50

sunny need surely it's both. The physical pain job is done. But the hard work starts.... I keep suggesting to The Boy that it'd be super great if he slept right through and was one of those happy non crier types

Right. Hospital bag is being packed. Sort of. Maternity pads, paper pants (in case) toiletries (in my travel bag) pjs, dry shampoo, spare hair brush, nappies, various creams etc. Rehydration tablets. Fibre drink sachets.

Will add baby clothes later need to choose his first outfit carefully....

Cagliostro · 29/08/2017 19:51

I went totally high on G&A first time round 😳😂 much more sensible with it with DS though. Main tip my paramedic friend gave me was to inhale just before the contraction was due rather than waiting for the pain to set in. Definitely helped!

My mum was obsessed with proper shoes! I was never allowed anything fashionable or "silly" as she would have called them.
I get 10% off in Clarks with TAMBA membership and 20% off on two weekends of the year so that will help a bit.

SnugglySnerd · 29/08/2017 19:56

I hated G&A btw. It made me feel like I had a really bad hangover!

LonelyOversharer · 29/08/2017 19:59

fluffy are you still joining a new bookie every day? Or are these reloads? I've only had a couple of them, and only £5 bets free. Am managing to do about £50 a week, but constantly joining new bookies gets so tedious. I almost prefer the casino offers, where you do a bit more, but there is risk there hmmm.

Random tea tonight. 4 different meals, using up bits/what people will eat.

The little two go back on Monday! Big two wednesday, but dd1 has her orthadontics on wed morning, so we're going to that. Dd1 school shoes size 4 hush puppies. £40. The other dc were cheaper as from outlet, and dd2 needed new in the summer term, so still ok. Shoes are sooo expensive, but necessary. I have always got measured Clarks, it's only now the girls are big I have relaxed a bit. There was no way I could get my almost 15 year old to try on in Clarks! Her feet are too narrow for normal adult sizes just yet.

Oh, I am watching bake off tonight. I am very pro beeb, but it's bake off. And Pru Leith was in a clip, and I love her nearly as much as Mary Berry! I hope it is the same format, its certainly the same tent; won't forgive channel 4, but watching still! As you know, I love baking.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2017 20:17

I did two bookies today, two £10 bets & a £10 casino that bombed.

I had most of August off after being ill.

It is tedious but I'm hoping to get into betting on them being placed, I don't quite understand it yet though. Think I've made £104 since Friday but that includes the casino win from bloodsuckers.

I've got £20 for tm, an accumulator & a £10 for in play 🙄

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2017 20:22

Btw, if you have the nectar app check it for a 500 point voucher for filling up in bp petrol stations but it's account specific.

Another month and it's time to look for radio times subscriptions 3 months for a £1 offer. You get the Christmas one then too. I think it was nearly £5 last year. Plus you might get cashback so technically free.

ememem84 · 29/08/2017 20:28

Bag done. I'm watching bake off. I've just burnt haloumi under the grill (for tomorrow's lunch in a salad).

Laska5772 · 29/08/2017 20:34

Just had dinner with DS (of course i paid! £44) . lovely Italian-y bistro .

I had the tagiatelli with salmon, prawns and broccoli on a saffron cream sauce.. Divine! He had a posh pizza (they do lovely woodfired ones ) then banoffee pie, one glass of white, one beer .. so not cheap but a nice treat.

Other spends today £1 on Astonish laundry stain remover spray (so much better than Vanish) and £20 in co op on random stuff we needed

ememem84 · 29/08/2017 20:36

Ooh laksa that sounds le yum!!!

I've just ordered some take away boxes from Amazon. For batch cooking. In readyness for the boys arrival. £7.56

I'm not liking the bake off with adverts.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2017 20:45

Kidstart are doing £3 for all rt subscriptions but it's a minimum £10 payout, I use them for all my JL and Amazon stuff though.

Quidco are doing £1 so at the very least it's free.

Laska5772 · 29/08/2017 21:03

Ok another £35 on a new double airbed as I 'lent' ours to DS for one of his weekends away and now find he 'needs' to keep itas it was so much better than his old one! ( he will pay me back though) . but went through Quidco and found that i had £26.10 in cashback.. so thats great.

Btw Blacks are doing 20% off all camping stuff DISCOVER20 but it ends today (so i go that off my airbed as well as quidco..)

Oh and my Hush trousers have arrived as well as my Aveda stuff from Look Fantastic.. so its turned out to be a spendy day ..

SnugglySnerd · 29/08/2017 21:10

Em the ads are doing my head in too. Otherwise enjoying GBBO but it's made me hungry!
