Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/06/2016 21:38

Welcome back Italian you def do not want to live in uk at the min - the country has gone mad! Congrats on the baby that is lovely news Smile

Sad babs Flowers

Fluffy he did have to move some of the insulation to put the boards down but only in one section, not sure what else he could have done really as we need the storage, any bit that is boarded but hasn't got anything on it will have the insulation on it again!!

Have just gone through another roll of gaffa tape Grin

Thanks for all the nice words, my parents are lovely - I am very lucky. My mum and dad are now divorced but they all got on well today even with my step mother thrown into the mix!! Wasn't always this way but great that it is now Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/06/2016 21:57

You'll be shocked at low heating bills are for newbuilds. I'm very jealous of your solar panels.

blueteapot · 25/06/2016 22:04

Evening all :)

Congrats on the move girlie!! Wishing you health and happiness in your new home :)

Welcome back Italian and congratulations on the bump!

Will get a good read through now shortly.

Just back from doing the weekly shop - late on a sat night was quite a good time for yellow sticker bargains and we didnt need much meat so only came to £38, which I was pleased with. Santas workshop is officially open though as they also had quite a few toys marked down in a reduced section - a peppa playset for DS down to £3.75 from £15 and I got 2 'frozen' light up handbags which light up to match your outfit down from £25 to £6.25 which the nieces will be delighted with. Would never have paid £25 for them though! Got to start somewhere so thats the ball officially rolling now...

Made pancakes this morning, sausages & sweet potato mash for lunch and a fish pie for tea... all cooked out today lol, need to avoid the 'bugger it lets go for lunch' attitude we normally get on Sundays so I have planned a beef curry and rice, might prep it before bed for the slow cooker lol.

Cagliostro · 25/06/2016 22:05

Hi all :)
Haven't caught up yet but Italian congratulations! :)
Sorry about your dog Babs big hugs xx

Had an immensely busy couple of days, DD's birthday was brilliant and her party went really well today. She was over the moon with her presents and getting to spend so much time with various friends. Her face when the others arrived at the exhibition (she had NO idea) was just amazing! Then my parents took us to the Rainforest Cafe, which was incredible.

We were very lucky that the party all came together in the end. I'm organising DS' ASAP - it's not until the end of August but I know we'll end up leaving it last minute again if we don't do it now. I suggested bowling (a big party would be too much for him - today he sat with DH the whole time bless him) and he immediately said oooh yes please, so that's sorted! Just have to figure out the guest list as there are lots of siblings etc and this kind of party is pay-per-child.

Knackered now. Still wheezy and achy so having a lazy day at home tomorrow and then it's the last birthday hurrah on Monday (family game night with DSCs, I'm making lasagne).

blueteapot · 25/06/2016 22:05

Flowers babs

CremeEggThief · 25/06/2016 22:10

Belated happy birthday to your DD, Cag. It sounds like an amazing day.Smile

blueteapot · 25/06/2016 22:17

Tayto and lilac we are in NI right by the border and nip forward and back nearly every day for various bits and pieces - petrol, proper cadburys chocolate, visiting the beautiful beaches (DH was born in ROI actually but has been in NI since he was a baby) - will be a sad day when they put up the border controls. Will be getting our Irish passports asap!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 25/06/2016 23:12

haha fluffy I am so smug about the solar panels Wink

Cag that sounds like a great bday for your dd.

ipsogenix · 25/06/2016 23:51

We've had a good sort of a day here. Family visiting and it went okay and fairly LSD too.

Still glued to the referendum. Impressed by Nicola Sturgeon.

Congratulations Girlie. Very exciting about the house and great idea to board the loft.

Glad you're feeling better Em. That dizzy thing happened to me a couple of times when ds was a tiny baby. The gp said sometimes it could be because dust had got kicked up inside the cochlea, but with me it was definitely sleep deprivation that did it. I can imagine that having hormones a bit out of whack could definitely be an issue. Take care there.

lilacclery · 26/06/2016 08:02

Girlie may your roof never fall in & may those under it never fall out Wine

Ememem84 · 26/06/2016 08:05

Morning all. Should be nsd here.

cag glad DD's party went ok - rainforest cafe??? I think I've been there, but when I was a lot younger. Great place!

girlie ooh solar panels?? Nice! Jealous

Full on snot-fest here excellent sent Dh to the kitchen to fetch tea, water and something for breakfast.

I can report some great frugalness from yesterday. Went to town spends were €10 ds haircut, €17.99 TESCO on 2 barbie DVDs, leggings set for present for a birthday, birthday card for an 18th €1.40 newspaper €14.94 detangling spray for dds curly mop & a treatment for my hair €20 in a birthday card saved €10 as I thought we'd put €30 in card €60 on childcare from earlier in the week, she gave ds & dd €20 each then as recently had a lotto win & saved €20 on takeaway as we came home & had homemade taco fries rather than buying a takeaway.

Today is a day out at a fairy festival, dd wants to take a picnic so spends will be entry €20 and possibly ice cream. Taking along dds friend also.

lilacclery · 26/06/2016 08:17

Em I hope you're feeling much better. Sore teeth is definitely a symptom of sinus, sinus clogged up presses on nerves of teeth, oddly chewing gum helps. If you can get a sinus rinse from chemist, they're brilliant. Basically a bottle with squirter on it which squirts warm salt water up your nose, it's not for squeamish as some comes down other nostril & rest down back of throat sorry if tmi guys

Italian welcome back & congrats!!
Are you still using ynab? I'm using the new one & paying monthly subscription when I clear my debt I will pay for the yearly subscription with 10% discount.

Wreck I did charlottes dvd yesterday & feel it in many muscles today Smile

Cag dds bday sounds brilliant. Poor ds crowds aren't his thing. A girl at party yesterday was like that but when crowd dispersed she started to enjoy herself.

lilacclery · 26/06/2016 08:18

Fluffy how did takeaway secret curry go? I downloaded it during the week
