Badders123 · 30/06/2016 18:26

I've been driving for YEARS and my car is quite old - I'm sure that's why it's so cheap Smile
My breakdown cover is £7 p/m
I do try and get the cheapest deals I can - pretty sure I can't better those two! Grin

Ememem84 · 30/06/2016 18:35

Will do. Dh is making chicken dippers sweet potato fries and corn on the cobs.

Then bed, hot squash and orange is the new black until I fall asleep.

£15 on lunch today for colleague who is leaving. Steak sandwich. Yum.

Wreck would you mind sharing your recipe for stuffed peppers when you get a chance? I feel like I'm in a bit of a rut where meals are concerned. It's partly because DD is fairly unadventurous and moans if we cook something she doesn't like. There's a lot of dishes we used to make but we don't bother now because DD doesn't like them - it's easier to cook something for all three of us iykwim? But I should make more of an effort even if it means making something different for DD.

babsmam · 30/06/2016 19:03

Wtf was i typing. Pooh thanks fme should have been crème thanks for that..... In regards the waffle place

Star2015 · 30/06/2016 19:13

NSD here!

Noodles glad all ok after having losses myself I can't imagine what relief it is to see a healthy baby on a scan image.. Enjoy every moment!

Thanks for the welcome Tay!

Hope everyone else is ok just going back to read fully Smile

Unescorted · 30/06/2016 19:19

noodle it is the best wave.... although ds looked as if he was giving the forks.... not much has changed really.

Em good luck with the bathroom - ours looks lovely now it is finished. Well worth the effort. I blame Ipos for starting all this DIY with her lovely hall transformation.

Thanks for the reassurance - I was feeling really down yesterday about it all. I find uncertainty difficult to cope with. We are expecting a restructure at work soon and there were whispers that the next budget (emergency or planned) would have further cuts... so we would be cut and cut again - like the Chelsea Chop but less pretty.

Unescorted · 30/06/2016 19:21

Badders I can top your insurance...£14 pm for me dh and the kids when they pass their test. One advantage of being civil service. Grin

CremeEggThief · 30/06/2016 19:22

I knew you meant me, BabsGrin.

Badders123 · 30/06/2016 19:25

Wow! That is good :)
I'm so tired today.
Physio has meant my back and hip hurt more than usual. Have taken some painkillers and am off to bed.
Dh will be back from doing the grocery shop soon time to see what random stuff he had bought in place of what we actually need!
Then boys in shower then peace and quiet :)
Night night all

babsmam · 30/06/2016 19:27

Noodle that's good news

Unescorted · 30/06/2016 19:33

just to make you laugh....

And now I will stop hijacking this with politics.

SnugglySnerd · 30/06/2016 19:35

Yay girlie so pleased you have moved in now!
Spent about £15 today on lunch, sweets and ice cream. I got a bit carried away and am now stuffed. Away with work this weekend so expect there will be a few more treats to pay for plus I've just had to send DH out to buy duplicate toiletries as we share but we will both need separate ones over the weekend.
Not sure which is worse this week - the amount I've spent or the amount I've eaten!

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 30/06/2016 20:18

Hope you settle in to your new home girlie.

Aldi new super 6 is really good usually get 3-4 items this time all 6 are good peaches, p!ums, melon, mushrooms, mange tout and cheeries.

Worked out with have 3mths more of full childcare vpuchers covering childcare where we saved them mat leave and have obv continued to get them so we get just under £500 mth as vouchers so will have to sort put how we will pay the extra £450 a mth yes between nursery and childminders (or holiday club) that's our childcare bill a mth £950!

needastrongone · 30/06/2016 20:26

Hooray Girlie, so chuffed for you getting into the house. You are bound to be tired, mentally and physically. You have a lifetime to sort your house out, don't worry. Smile

Ipsos, it did just occur to me that Heseltine is somewhat of a hypocrite, given his treatment of Thatcher. That's a statement of fact, not of sympathy to Thatcher Smile

Okay, two things.

First, we go to Florida in 4 weeks. All is sorted, apart from car hire as DH keeps forgetting his driving licence, so I can book it. What bargains to I get over there? I am aware that sterling is screwed at the minute...

Second. You might remember I upgraded out outbound flights. Originally, both outbound and return flights had luggage allowance for us all. Changing the outbound booking has knocked off our baggage allowance for the return journey, and I've had to pay £120 for the privilege of having 20kg each for the flight home. I've called customer services 3 times (Thomson). I get through to India. Please don't take this the wrong way, but they just read from a sheet and say it's the changed booking. I've complained on Facebook and I now have an email address. They reply in 8 working days, standard!!! AIBU, this was never mentioned when I upgraded, and effectively increases the cost of the upgrade. What next?

Unescorted · 30/06/2016 20:33

Put it on the AIBU board to get max prominance and twitter. I complained about a train journey via Twitter & got an off peak family ticket for a month, so it can be really effective.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/06/2016 21:00

I'd email the CEO need. You're out of pocket & you shouldn't be.

Tryingtosaveup · 30/06/2016 21:16

Wow Girlie, that's great. Own house at last. You deserve it Enjoy.
Em, hope you are feeling better so .
Unescorted....that laughing man on Brexit is the funniest thing I have seen in ages . The tears were rolling down my face.
Folks... If you ha ven't watched it , do it now. It is the best thing about the whole referendum

needastrongone · 30/06/2016 21:33

Fluffy I've found his email address and emailed, outlining that at no point was I advised that I would have to pay extra for baggage etc. 8 working days for a standard response is poor beyond belief. Ha, we would have no business if we left it more than an hour. Two different industries I guess!

CremeEggThief · 30/06/2016 22:07

Good luck with it, Need.

lilacclery · 01/07/2016 06:58

First day of July & halfway through the thread already Grin
€8.40 on a white wine & diet 7up to make a spritzer & a really enjoyable 90 mins in good company.

Ememem84 · 01/07/2016 08:05

Bathroom is progressing. Electrician was in yesterday and we now have spotlight! Exciting!

Wonder what's going to happen today...!

Had a wonderful sleep and am feeling a bit more "normal" although still a bit snuffly. Dressed down today. Bright coral skinnies for work. It's grey and wet outside so figured I needed an injection of colour.

Dh is out tonight so will be home alone hooray nice dinner and then tv. And while I'm tv-invite will do meal plans and shopping lists for the next few weeks.

Thanks Creme.

Long day today. DS has his prom. And 'after prom', which finishes at 3am!! And needs picking up from.

I've ordered wine on special offer, and dog food too.

babsmam · 01/07/2016 08:29

3 am! Sheesh.

AdoraBell · 01/07/2016 08:57

Hope DS enjoys prom Need I'd missed the bit about the fancy dress costume Grin
Girlie it is exhausting, but very much worth it once you get organised in your own home Grin

I'm using an old phone as mine broke -long story I'm going into- and I can't get it to behave, so this may look disjointed.
Today I need to get a few bits but also need to wait in for a delivery.

Glad your meds are working em, hope you feel well very soon.
Will watch funny link a bit later
