Sorry about all the bad news :(

Well done on the full fridges, returned clothing and DH conscription! Collie glad you have a plan Re: the car.

Did very little today. Visited DF but that was all. DH working.

I need to pop to the shop in a min for butter and spuds. JUST those lol. Definitely no wine or crisps!

Trialling a new earlier bedtime for the DC as it's been getting ridiculous, wish me luck Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 21/06/2015 20:10

blue dd has been in bed since 5:10 as she was being so horrible Grin wonder what time she'll wake up!

girliefriend · 21/06/2015 20:28

I got dd into bed on time tonight as well, there have been far to many tears and dramas this afternoon!!

Have got a banana loaf in the oven, hoping it will be o.kay as checked on it after half hr and was completely not done in the middle but looked done on top iyswim? Have given it another 15 mins on a lower setting

SpottyTeacakes · 21/06/2015 20:34

My banana loaf takes an hour

SpottyTeacakes · 21/06/2015 20:35

Oh and it always goes v brown on the top

Peppapissinpig · 21/06/2015 20:44

Both my DCs in bed early tonight. Too many meltdowns for one day Confused.
Am also going to rethink bedtime in general as DS esp is horrible when overtired.

Lol both of mine have been in since 7.30pm, lately it's been more like 8.30-9pm which left us no evening really. I'm sure we'll suffer for it at 5am!

Got just the butter and spuds :)

Then I drove DHs new car for diesel to the place I should have discovered years ago as it was down to a quarter tank and I didn't want him filling up en route home (70 mile each way commute) 94.5p per litre compared to 118p at the tesco garage I usually go to.

Off to do some studying for my big exam in Oct :( I figure it's time to start that boo x

girliefriend · 21/06/2015 21:32

Banana loaf took over an hour in the end Confused looks o.kay now though, hopefully will taste alright!

Thinking of taking dd and my nephew to the cinema tomos to see Jurassic World, reading the some of the other threads slightly concerned it will be too scary for dd (and me!!) They do cheaper tickets on a Monday and hoping to use some of my Odeon points to get money off as well.

Laska42 · 21/06/2015 22:39

Ooh new thread and 4 pages already before i get to it..
Sorry to hear some of your bad news Flowers

Well, we are packed and ready to go off to Greece on hol tomorrow !!

Have worked hard in the garden this weekend , and it looks brilliant but will be overgrown in three weeks again for when we get back! .

NSD weekend for me (although DH bought Wine )as emptying the fridge..

BUT I have some fantastic news (I hope you dont mind me sharing it ).... I have been throughly spoilt this weekend (and its not even my birthday) DH presented me with a lovely orange kaftan from Hush for my holiday .. and a bottle of bubbly.. to celebrate us paying off our mortgage!!

At last!! .. I am debt free! GrinGrinGrinGrin

So , on that high note its Au Revoir for a short time from me.. We'll be in a hotel at Gatwick tomorrow evening and flying out at (very) stupid oclock in the morning (but thats easyjet for you) on Tuesday, so ill be back in three weeks ..

So keep frugalling and 'see' you all soon .. (if i dont get time to pop in tomorrow morning )

blueteapot · 21/06/2015 23:04

Delighted for you laska! Mortgage free is where I'd love to be :) we're only just starting out with ours really. Enjoy the hols and the bubbly, you deserve it! Wine

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2015 06:17

Have fun laska!

Well both dc were up at six so dd slept for 13 hours and ds 11.5 Smile

AuditAngel · 22/06/2015 07:03

Morning all. I am also tackling the bedtime (or lack thereof) nightmare of DD2. She is 4, 5 in October, starts school in September. Since she came out of her cot at 2, she has been horrendous. Previous bedtime attempts have resulted in me up and down stairs all evening and her getting more and more upset. Last night she was taken up at 9 fir a story, DS offered to rake over the story, but she played him up. Story finished girl tucked in. She came down once, was asleep by 10 (disclaimer, I want to get the bedtime habit, then move to a more suitable time. Waiting until she is tired, rather than wrangling her for hours)

Yesterday was NSD, needed potatoes, mum bought those.

AuditAngel · 22/06/2015 07:05

Enjoy your holiday Laska we'll be getting ready to go (17th) as you come back.....

blueteapot · 22/06/2015 07:14

Just fed DD, and DS did a little cry there and has gone back to sleep. 7.30pm bedtime it is from now on. I desperately need to get at least an hours revision in in the evenings from now until Oct so that will help.

Speaking of which, we were looking at new printers as my current HP printer / scanner combi thing hasn't fed paper in for months and months. Eyed one up at £49.... DH decided to take one last look at it and got it working perfectly again! So that saves a packet :) and there was new ink it in and lots of paper about. No excuse not to get on with work now!

babsmam · 22/06/2015 07:18

Have a good time Laska and congratulations on being mortgage free.

Bedtimes have slipped here too and I'm determined to get them back. Sent them up at 730 last night and up at 645 and 710 so not bad.

Need fresh stuff today. Sainsbury it is. Also could do with aldi. Will see what happens on voucher Thursday.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2015 07:25

I need to get a stamp. Also need to try and pay in some cheques made out to my 'married' name which I haven't taken on Hmm

Might go for a cheeky Costa Blush

We had a savings account with £600 in. Interest rate of 7% which paid out today after tax we £15. So shit.
