Hooray for Peonies passing her driving test - well done, first time too you clever thing xx

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2015 17:24

Well done MissA!

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/06/2015 17:37

Huge congratulations miss A. Well done.

collie oh bugger. Ok, can any of the other providers provide an incentive for moving to them? I think EE used to pay severance fees if you moved to them. I hate bt. They are truly arrogant.

£1 lint rollers
£10 petrol.

Pointlessfan · 22/06/2015 18:02

Congratulations and well done Miss A and congratulations to Laska - have a great holiday!
Welcome to newcomers.
You've all been busy today I have a lot to catch up on. Almost NSD just bought some bananas.

buyout.ee.co.uk/

Are these in your area? is there a clause you can use to cancel if expected service speed and actual speed dont match? money saving expert has great advice on this stuff.

Evilwater · 22/06/2015 19:31

Well done for passing your driving test!
And for those going on hoilday.

Today I did a extra at work, and earned a grand total of:
£28.75.
That's after nursery fees have been taken off.

I'm temped to order pizza and blow the whole thing, on a good note I've not spent any money today.

Pointlessfan · 22/06/2015 19:35

Collie if you have new carpets could the lovely "new carpet smell" be bothering the cat? Pointless cat was sick yesterday too, he's harder to look after than DD sometimes!

Pointlessfan · 22/06/2015 19:36

Or, just another thought, have her claws got a bit long? Pointless cat only gets cat litter everywhere when he's due his pedicure at the vets!

I hope that sorts it Collie. Our vet charges about £15 for nails and they are done about 3 times a year. I don't ever get mine done as it costs too much!!

Passthecake30 · 22/06/2015 20:44

Congratulations missA! Do you have access to a car? Sorry if you've said already. ..

Wow laska, am jealous. ...I want the mortgage paid off, but I realise we are in a better position to alot of people.

Spends on Sunday were £10 on pub drinks and £10ish on pizza express, used vouchers for food. Plus £40 asda delivery.

Booked airport parking, £69 with 18% cashback for 10 days, not too bad?

Tomorrow I will be fleeced at the school fair. ....Every year it ends in tears so I might just give the kids an allowance and say they can keep any change. That'll encourage one of them to stop harping on at least...

What does everyone do about taking money abroad? Cash/credit card/prepaid card? Plus how much would u plan to spend for a family of 4 doing self catering for 4 days in Spain. ...am thinking we'd eat out once a day.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2015 20:49

Some cash and the rest pre paid card. We budget £100 a day but that's with eating out for all meals. Don't use the post office for pre paid card.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/06/2015 20:50

Fairfx I would use Smile

Peppapissinpig · 22/06/2015 20:54

Has anyone else used Groupon? Are they actually good deals?

Taking cash abroad, we have a Euro bank account, with a switch type card, we use that.

Spends tonight, 60p on doughnuts for DD1&2, 15on tuck shop sweets at dancing. £19.80 on an enormous take-away.

girliefriend · 22/06/2015 22:36

Well done MissA once you get driving you will wonder how you ever coped not being able to!!

Collie I have just moved to EE from BT as they were properly ripping me off Angry they paid to me to leave BT! That sounds stressful with the cat, how old is she? The stinky wee thing might be worth checking with the vet as poss urine infection? Have you got a cat flap?

So went to the cinema, annoyingly the tickets were more than I thought and didn't realise until I had paid. Still in all for me and dd spent £15 ish so not too bad I suppose. I enjoyed the film and am hoping dd isn't too traumatised, she did hide under her jumper for some of the more scary scenes!!

needastrongone · 22/06/2015 22:56

Welcome twowrongs and jam Not sure anyone noticed twowrongs sneaking in, but at least I remembered my manners Grin

Huge congratulations to Laska and MissA, for the mortgage and driving test respectively, although I realise the former will have jetted off by now.

Completely unfrugal, but nothing on God's earth would make me go back to BT, after being with them forever and a day, even if they were half the cost of everyone else, so bad was their customer service, broadband coverage and general shiteness (northern word, surely!).

We used FairFX card for dollars a couple of times and had a good experience with them, the rate was highly competitive. MUst check for Euro rate and keep monitoring.

I thought cats were a breeze compared to dogs, seems not!

Worked today. Spent £3 in Aldi as needed cashback. £25 in XC training for DD. It was cold, windy and raining. The pony was good though, so I am pleased with her at least!

DH and DS had egg and bacon for tea. I had a fried egg sandwich and DD a salad.

Tuesday - smoked mackerel and leek risotto.
Wedneday - butternut squash and chickpea curry.
Thursday - DD's birthday
Friday - sausage casserole.
Saturday - cheesy pasta bake, probs with chorizo.
Sunday - Roast.

Also spent £5 on a Mary Berry book from Amazon, The only type of book that I still like a hard copy of. And won some shorts from Ebay for £9, Massimo Dutti.

AdoraBell · 23/06/2015 00:45

Well done MissA

Bloody well done Laksa that must be a fantastic feeling.

Good luck NK

So much for keeping up with you, t'internet wouldn't let me postHmm

Spent £63 today on groceries for the next few days. we have sever air quality, first emergency situation in 16 yrs apparently, my car was banned today and might still be tomorrow so I used DH's and topped up the fridge/cupboards. There's nothing wrong with my car, btw, but they ban -usually- 20% of cars with catalytic converters and 80% of those without when the smog is bad. Today it was 40% and 100%, plus factories and heating in houses, even the "green" systems.

I predict a couple of NSDs as until the air improves I'm not keen on going out.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/06/2015 05:39

Adora that does not sound fun! Sad When are you coming back?

Should be nsd off to work in a minute. Our sky remote broke yesterday and as if by magic someone I know put one on a fb selling page for £5 Smile getting that tomorrow.

babsmam · 23/06/2015 06:38

Oops sorry twowrongs and welcome.

Work today. Nsd on the cards.

Peppapissinpig · 23/06/2015 06:55
