Congratulations East, I do love this thread, births and marriages in one month! Just one more Christmas present to get!! I am really pleased with my progress.

Sixforgold · 26/11/2014 19:45

Such happy news east! Congratulations! :)

NK5BM3 · 26/11/2014 21:10

Well done east!! Congrats. Am knackered, just got home from work. Tired beyond belief. NSD.

RobinEllacott · 26/11/2014 21:10

Fail today. Window cleaner £20 for the windows and £20 to clean out the gutters for us, and £10 on lunch - I was starving and had left home stupidly early. And I meant to cycle home but got the Tube instead because it was so late, and raining.

Congratulations east!

HearMyRoar · 26/11/2014 21:12

Yay! NSD today and almost made it to the end of the month. :)

SpottyTeacakes · 26/11/2014 21:21

£5 something in waitrose on lunch and candles. Oh and a jar of pasta sauce.

AuditAngel · 26/11/2014 23:20

Hello everyone, I haven't been abducted by aliens, just super busy.

I haven't posted for 10 days, and I can't possibly remember everything I have spent. I gave tried to be good, but need to be better about taking lunch to work.

I have to buy DD1 some white knickers (for under panto costumes), but Tesco didn't have any her size. Was hoping not to have to order from M&S but I am running out of time.

DD2 has a chest infection, so is on antibiotics.

Tomorrow I am in London on a course. DS has a dancing rehearsal in one location, DD1 has panto rehearsal somewhere else, and DD2 will be at home with her chest infection. Fortunately another mum has organised DD1 to go home from school with her daughter and get collected by another mum to go to rehearsal, she will be brought home too.

I have lovely friends.

AdoraBell · 27/11/2014 02:43

We survived the shepherds pieGrin

Spent another £20 today, then £4.60 on honey because I've gone to a different greengrocer's. I need to make lots of flapjacks as the bananas have turned very quickly this week, had to buy more for breakfasts.

Hope MiniTeacakes had a lovely birthday.

Congratulations east and welcome to James, lovely name.

Will catch up properly later, again.

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 27/11/2014 04:00

Thanks all.

Thanks for tip off bout TU 25% off my mum is staying next week for a week n she loves our huge sainsburys clothes department and as I cannot drive will get her to take us.

SpottyTeacakes · 27/11/2014 06:31

I've managed to overpay my credit card (due to making two payments in one month) will they just leave it there? I'll be paying for our hotel in New York with it so I'm happy for it to stay.

fuzzpig · 27/11/2014 07:19

Ooh so glad you posted that spotty, I'd forgotten they are released today! Thanks Thanks

fuzzpig · 27/11/2014 07:27

Yesterday
£2 bus
£14.40 Gruffalo onesie - for DS on Xmas eve :o
£12.99 Padlocks x2 - don't want to leave scooters unlocked at school!
£15.60 2x Xmas presents for DSCs (would have been more but used £20 amazon giftcard I got for survey)

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 27/11/2014 08:40

Might be a spendy day today depending on how mobile I am, I need to return a parcel to Amazon for a refund of £30, so was planning to hobble to PO with that and get an advent calendar for DH on way back, but I also need yoghurt, sausages, to go to the bank and check my pigeon hole in work.
No way I can do all that in this state!

DH left the house to go to rack and ruin as he believed the drs that I'd be in for 10 days, he thought he'd have the weekend to sort it. Grin I'm tidying in little bursts and then recuperating. I can't sit in a filthy messy house.

Smile at DH MissA - something that DH would do as well!! Don't do too much, give yourself time.

Congratualtions east

I sometimes pay off my Next account in full, even when I know that there are returns to take off the balance. Usually buy something from Next each month, generally anyway, so it works out in the end.

Been spending a bit on Black Friday for DH and DS. A couple of sneaky cook books for me Smile, nothing major.

Need to do the finances this morning as we've been paid.

£55 for the pony to have a refit of her shoes, which is what happens when they don't need a full new set. It's winter, so she can stretch to 8 weeks now for shoeing, but has too flat feet to be unshod.

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 27/11/2014 09:15

Aldi coffee one of the best of all supermarkets in taste test!

www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2014/nov/27/supermarket-ground-coffee-taste-test

7/10 with other big names scoring much lower, including beating Waitrose by a point! Will be trying that coffee.

OP posts:
sportinguista · 27/11/2014 09:27

MissA we are using the Aldi ground coffee and it is easily as good as more expensive brands, there is a good selection of different types. We were using Whittards (probably one of the reasons I am in a bit of debt Hmm) and DH who thinks of himself as a bit of an expert has not noticed a difference and in fact likes one of them more.

LSD day to day, just enough to buy me the mirror for the Aldi voucher and that will be it.

Will be looking at Boots site to spend my points on bits for DS for Christmas.

Looking out for Black Friday deals as well. Anyone got any tips as I've never done it before this year so am not sure how it all works?
