Just spent (in audible amount) on tickets to barclaycard british summertime in hyde park. Blush It'll be for my birthday.

girliefriend · 29/11/2014 12:11

Hello so ystd was a NSD, was at work all day and babysat for a friend in the evening so no chance to spend Wink today have nothing planned (which is not like me) so good chance of a NSD again! Have got lots of boring housework I should be getting on with though - rubbish!

SpottyTeacakes · 29/11/2014 12:21

I should be doing housework too but all I've managed so far is putting a load of washing on. Haven't even washed up Blush

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/11/2014 12:43

I'm still in my dressing gown. Dh describes the colour as pensioner purple.

I hang washing out in it and everything.

£26.40 on family stocking fillers
£200.00 on kids Christmas presents - Christmas is now done
just need to get Christmas wine now- hurrah :)

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 29/11/2014 14:10

NSD so far. Am filling bags for charity shop and tip, DH will carry to car this afternoon and we'll purge. Can't wait! Sent off bag of dried goods to the food bank to clear space for xmas and make me feel Smile mostly soups, custards etc.

Listening to carols, don't care if it's too early Grin

Peonies on Monday I'll be getting out my Christmas carols piano book :o can't wait!

Yesterday:

£4.10 bus
£5.10 book for DS for Xmas
£8.80 lunch
£10 thorntons (partly on advent calendars)
£10.40 sainsburys on dinner stuff etc
£22.98 hmv (Xmas presents)

Had to get some bits for a food activity I ran at work but I get to keep the leftovers so not so bad really!

574ejones · 29/11/2014 15:09

£30 at the Post Office sending presents! Begrudge spending my weekend doing housework but I am too tired during the week. Grrr...

girliefriend · 29/11/2014 16:55

A very boring day, but have done some hoovering, dusted my bedroom and done some washing. Now having a sit down with a Brew - more than enough tidying for one day Wink Harry Potter is on which is making me feel a bit Christmassy Smile

Am thinking I might have a day out at Bath Christmas market next wend, would be about £30 for me and dd on the train which I didn't think was too bad, could take a fair bit of food with us but would have to take a set amount of money with us so don't go too mad on all the stalls!!

When is everyone else putting their tree up then?!

SpottyTeacakes · 29/11/2014 16:57

My tree will go up on the 13th. We have a real one and I usually take it down the day after Boxing Day!

My sister lives in bath. The market was in the news last year because it was so busy it was dangerous, we were meant to go but were ill.

RobinEllacott · 29/11/2014 16:59

Spendy day here - Saturdays always are. Food shop £115, including a couple of presents. Money for babysitter tonight so we can go out and plan Christmas without constant interruption from DD. We also promised her a bike for Christmas so need to go out and get that this coming week.

We're planning to put our tree up in two weeks' time. Don't want the needles to drop before Christmas.

574ejones · 29/11/2014 17:23

Tree up mid December but we always try to get one that doesn't drop its needles. Just one more Christmas present to get now! I do love this time of year.

Me too collie but I really want another baby and dh and said no. Hope your cousin is ok Thanks

HearMyRoar · 29/11/2014 18:52

Today I have spent £9.99 on cat litter, £4 on some nibbles for some friends coming round. I have also spent £29.99 on upgrading my phone and set up a £19.99 per month contract as my special overdraft pay off reward. I have been using a £10 pay as you go talk and text cheapy for years and it is really time I got with the times and got a smart phone. You would never guess I work in web development and digital transformation would you :o

I am very old fashioned about Christmas decorations and tree. I refuse to have anything up before Christmas eve and it all comes down on twelfth night. We have dmil coming over to look after dd on christmas eve so will be leaving them lots of decorations and craft things for doing the house with while we are at work :)

PeoniesforMissAnnersley · 29/11/2014 19:11

we have a treeeeeeee! Grin It's standing in the living room but not decorating until tomorrow as we need lights. Smells amazing and wintery already!

I ended up buying myself a dressing gown, DH a dressing gown (Xmas gift) and a box of candles (Xmas gift), so not an NSD after all BUT it came to less than half of a refund I received today for unused ferry ticket, so not too shabby.

DH bought me Tatler to read while he cooks me dinner Grin I love reading about the crazy posh people. It's like going to the zoo, in your living room.

Our tree will be coming inside tomorrow (lives in a pot in the garden for the rest of the year!) and then we'll pick an evening next week to decorate it. Festivities start on Monday for me! (still a bit early for DH!) I will be eating my first mince pice of the season - has anyone tried the Iceland ones? I'm intrigued!
