Tested positive yesterday evening when I thought I was literally going to die! Had a headache and cold symptoms I couldn't shift throughout the day. Had an early night but woke up with a 40.1 degree temperature and was shivering head to toe.
Managed to dodge covid.. until now. Hearing a lot of people catching it again.
It's horrible! The worst thing is the headache!
Anyone else currently have it?
How you feeling?

If that’s the case why are so many people still getting Covid when they e had multiple injections?
My OH and son had it at the same time as me. Both had it worse than I did. I haven’t had a booster.

Cavvies · 30/08/2022 09:35

@SilverLiningPlaybook because it doesn’t necessarily stop you from getting it - it lessens the potential severity of it.

Cavvies · 30/08/2022 09:36

@SilverLiningPlaybook do you understand how vaccines work?

SilverLiningPlaybook · 30/08/2022 16:30

Yes, they prevent infection. These vaccines don’t.

Cavvies · 30/08/2022 16:38

okay well it would have been easier just to say no - I don’t understand 🤷‍♀️

Can I join you? First time for me and DS too. He tested positive on Tuesday and Me today. I have cough/cold symptoms a banging head and not much energy. Yesterday it just felt like I had a cold coming on an a tickley cough as the day wore on.

We are meant to be going away next Friday and I don’t know whether to move the dates or hope I am ok and go a couple of days late if needs be. We had planned lots of dog walking though and if I am lacking energy it won’t be much fun. Plus I don’t want to give it anyone if still contagious. And I might still feel rubbish. Will decide after the weekend.

Oh noooo it's back in our house AGAIN!!!
DH tested positive last night 😩
Me and DS negative at moment.. surely we can't catch it again this soon after? 🙏🏻 it's been just under 3 months

You're joking me.

What are the symptoms like for you and your family now?

ijustcouldntthinkofausername · 04/10/2022 20:36

@Whengcame we all have colds pretty much. No headaches this time.
But have a really really sore throat. Me and DS had it less than 3 months ago but although we have the same symptoms as DH, we're testing negative!
I'm going to test again in the morning.

Madness! 😫
