If you have covid now, what are your symptoms?

I have woken up feeling breathless, tired, achey and tight of chest.

LFT negative but I've booked a PCR as I want to see elderly mum this w/e so want to be sure.

I know it seems that the current variant BA.2 seems to be a bit worse than Omicron that everyone had at Christmas, but I'm not sure what the symptoms are.

If you have covid now, what are your symptoms?

I had one day with a tickly throat, leading up to shivers and aches in the evening, when I had my positive LFT (I'd had a negative in the morning). Spent the next day in bed feeling very achy and tired, the headache was the worst part. I had a cough but not the worst one I've ever had. Also some dizziness, and no appetite, I just wanted to drink water all day.

Woke up the next morning feeling absolutely fine - like a completely different person. I still have a cough occasionally and a bit of a blocked nose, but otherwise feel great. Work's policy is still following the guidance so I feel quite strange being at home (now day 3) but feeling well!

Started coughing Saturday afternoon, tested positive Sunday. That and slight tiredness were my only symptoms until Wednesday, now I've got headache, dizziness, chest pain and ache all over with no energy. Still very definitely testing positive.

Day 7 of covid. When does this utter exhaustion end. Constantly feel like falling asleep, have short bursts of energy when I will do some housework then feel like I've just done a marathon and need to lie down. Anyone come out the other side? How long did it take?

I tested positive last Friday, was completely exhausted till Wednesday, on Thursday and today, bit more energy but quickly need to nap if I do anything.

Despite getting a negative test on Thursday, I’m also still getting sore head and the eternal runny nose. I’m not sure why if I’m now negative?

I’ve ordered some vitamin d and hoping that will help speed up my recovery - I suspect I could have been deficient beforehand and that won’t be helping my tiredness.

I had Alpha last year and had all the symptoms including fever and loss of taste and smell.
Day 13 now - initially it was a scratchy dry throat, then mild fatigue, sneezing, snotty nose and then a cough. Much milder than Alpha.
DH (day 2 today) is really tired, achy, cough and sore throat. He seems much worse than I did with it, either because it’s his first time infected or because he’s a man. Both treble jabbed but in Sept/ Oct so may be wearing off.

@Chocolatefrenzy yes- the fatigue is horrible, so depressing. I m going to go out for a short walk around the village in the Hope that it might lift my spirits and feel a bit more part of the world.

How's peoples kid doing with it? Got a toddler at home and he's really not well.

DS has no symptoms so I won’t be testing him.
He had Alpha and was asymptomatic with that.

I have it right now (Day 4) - started with a sore throat (felt like a throat infection) and coughing, now has progressed to a head cold (and throat feels better).

@Chocolatefrenzy I'm just the same. I think I'm ok, then go and do something (wash up/shower) and then up with jelly legs and need to sleep 😣

Just tested positive this morning, only tested because it came on so suddenly and I literally couldn’t get out of bed. I am now dosed up on painkillers which somewhat helps but I still feel so incredibly achy like I have never experienced and I go between freezing cold and sweating. Mild headache also but mainly the aching that cause if me to feel very ill. No coughing or sore throat yet, very mild sniffles.

Day 10 today and still positive although the line is getting fainter. Had congestion, sore head, sore throat, stabbing aches and pains, the runs, nausea, tiredness. Have about 2-3 naps everyday but surprisingly sleep better at night than I normally do. Not vaccinated

Day 3 here - started with chills, scratchy throat and feeling generally off. Now feels like a bad head cold/sinusitis and achey muscles in neck and back. No fever or cough thankfully.

Jelly legs definitely. Just had a shower feeling ok but now I’m all wobbly and sitting down.

All dc currently asymptomatic. Will try and test Sunday eve befor going back to school. Bit late prob as have all been at school as normal this week. Two music exams next week though.

I sneezed all day which led to a sore throat. The next day it was just like a cold but I then had a fever in the evening.
Since then just cold symptoms, achey, headaches and may be unrelated but I have a sore eye.
Most symptoms cleared days 4/5 still testing positive so no early end to isolation yet (Welsh guidance).

Sore scratchy throat, my sinuses are burning, chesty cough, breathless and everything hurts

DD had it in January and was ill for a week with 3 days really bad headache, fever etc around day 3-5 then a few days seeming fine apart from taking an afternoon nap ( she doesn't usually) after. Took a few weeks until she got back to her normal energy levels. DS announced his by vomiting everywhere last Wednesday and said he had a really bad headache. Headache and no energy for 2-3 days absolutely fine after and driving me mad until he finally got to go back to school today.

Started off with a tickly throat and the kind of cough you get with post nasal drip. That was 7days ago. Progressed to full body aches and general fluey exhaustion. Super sensitive skin that hurt to the touch all over and restless legs. No official fever but periods of sweatiness and shivers.

The worst day was day 3/4 when I had extreme nausea and couldn't move for 2 hours for fear of being violently ill. Lost appetite, became very weak.

Day 5 felt much better, appetite returned so I ate loads. Though I was on the mend. I was wrong - That evening the underlying sore throat became unbearable and also already to my mouth. It felt like someone pouring acid over it!

Since then I've had constant sinus pressure so I feel spaced out and woozy, and never ending post nasal drop and snotiness. Earache and gone deaf due to blocked sinuses. Throat still very sore.

Insomnia throughout

Will this never end?!

Tested positive this morning after waking up feeling off - burning nose and throat, couple of sneezing bouts.

Over the course of a few hours I’ve gone from being just a bit under the weather to lying in bed with the worst headache, shiver and aches, full of snot.

I had Alpha 2 years ago and this does seem milder but who knows what the coming days will bring.

Positive lft today, migraine like headache, whole body aches and can't warm up x

Sore throat, fever, pounding headache for 2 days, dizziness ringing in ears and blocked ear sensation.

Tested pos on Tuesday, caught it on a night out on Saturday night. Monday felt a bit off, like the start of a cold, lfts negative. On Tuesday felt worse but not awful, blazing pos lft. Got worse really quickly. Aches, snot, then the cough started. Bit of a dodgy stomach. Feeling better overall but still super exhausted, just in time for DS to get it

Does anyone have any remedies for the burning nose? It feels like it’ll explode!

Had terrible aches yesterday (tested positive yesterday) headache, tiredness, blocked nose. 3 days ago (when still testing negative) I had a slight cough, sore throat & headache.

Today I only have a blocked nose and tiredness.

I had a positive PCR on Monday, so am technically Day 4. I had the start of symptoms over the weekend though, but was testing negative on LFTs so thought it was just a cold.

Sore throat
Cough
Runny nose
Sneezing
Swollen glands
Muscle pain
Joint pain
Nausea and stomach cramps
Headache
Sinus pain
Extreme tiredness
Breathlessness
Dizziness
Palpitations
Feeling cold
Insomnia

I didn't get out of bed for 3 days. Have got out of bed today but only as far as the sofa and a brief sit in the garden. The tiniest amount of activity (eg having a shower) leaves me exhausted.
