I have woken up feeling breathless, tired, achey and tight of chest.

LFT negative but I've booked a PCR as I want to see elderly mum this w/e so want to be sure.

I know it seems that the current variant BA.2 seems to be a bit worse than Omicron that everyone had at Christmas, but I'm not sure what the symptoms are.

If you have covid now, what are your symptoms?

Started symptoms on Tuesday, positive LFT on Wednesday, waiting for PCR results.

Headache, sort throat, very snotty nose, sneezing. We bit of chest tightness/wheeze but not bad and I'm asthmatic anyway.

Certainly my symptoms don't match what is being still stated on the government website which is change of taste/smell, persistent cough and high temperature.

Day 11 here. Sore throat but not too unwell for first few days. Fatigue, headache, breathlessness, congestion , feverish and cough then. Still not feeling well but I am contemplating leaving the house this weekend.

LoganberryJam · 18/03/2022 09:02

Not me but DH. Mainly tiredness and fuzzy headed. Also loss of taste.

Agreed the official symptoms are outdated IMO

Me - no symptoms for full 10 day iso period (didn't test neg any sooner)
Fil - runny nose, sore throat for a day or two but then out on day 6
Mil -flu like symptoms for a few days, then better and out day 7
DM - cough, sickness and diarrhoea but tested negative day 6/7
DF - same as me so far

All have had booster pre Xmas

CountessLovelace · 18/03/2022 09:07

Mostly runny nose and a bit of a cough. Also tiredness.

teach85 · 18/03/2022 09:08

Day 2. Still waiting for pcr result but positive lft.

Coughing, sweaty, worst headache I've ever had and zero appetite.

When did everyone have their booster? Mine was December - think it's worn off.

pinkpanther84 · 18/03/2022 09:11

On day 3, started with sore throat and achey legs. Now just have cold symptoms and no smell/taste

LivingInaBuildingSite · 18/03/2022 09:11

My booster was October.

hellcatspangle · 18/03/2022 09:11

I just had a day of aching bones, followed by a slightly sore throat, then a bit of a head cold for a couple of days. Nothing major, I've had worse colds many times.

vbnm89 · 18/03/2022 09:11

I think I got away lightly. I woke up Fri morning with a bit of cold and sneezing - LFT test was negative. Sat and Sun I still had a blocked nose but nothing else at all so carried on as normal. Got a text Sunday night from my boss to say 4 members of staff had tested positive - I tested and was positive but still no other symptoms. Tested positive again Monday but have been negative since Tuesday. I can return to work tomorrow.

I was in work Friday and Saturday as literally only had a blocked nose and test was negative. It is obviously people with mild symptoms who carry on as normal who spread it. I feel guilty now and think maybe I should have stayed off work Fri and Sat but I felt fine and I wouldn't even say I had a cold just a slightly blocked nose. We now have 12 off with it - and most people seem really unwell!!

Scratchy throat, cough, really sensitive skin on my torso and arms (usually get this when I’m ill) fatigue, bagbpain, headache. Feels like flu.

Alonelonelylonersbadidea · 18/03/2022 09:16

Stuffy nose, slight cough and headache and an overwhelming urge to shout at people and tell them to piss off. I'm now on day 6 and it doesn't seem to be betting any better.

MsTSwift · 18/03/2022 09:21

Sore throat
Mildly snotty
Occasional violent coughing fit
No energy going to loo an effort
No smell!
Aching up back and legs
Intermittent shivery
Feel sick and dizzy if sit at desk
Day 4 from positive lft but had mild cold symptoms but tested neg for a few days before that

AgnesNaismith · 18/03/2022 09:23

Nose feels like it’s got a burning ball half way up that might explode at any time. Tired but fussy so can’t sleep, aching bones, snotty, sore eyes, dizzy, headache yesterday, dry lungs and slight cough and generally pissed off. I tested a really really faint positive a week and a half ago…then negative for 6 days and then positive again with all of the symptoms. I’m sure work think I’m crazy!

iloveyankeecandle · 18/03/2022 09:24

Cough, fever, chills, stuffy nose, runny nose, loss of appetite, nausea, headache, aches and pains, ache all down my back. I dread to think how I'd feel if I hadn't been jabbed.

Salamander91 · 18/03/2022 09:26

Super tired and a runny nose. Lft was negative until the next day but 3 of my household had covid so I knew I did too.

BigButtons · 18/03/2022 09:29

It seems to be a familiar tale of negative test taunts despite symptoms. It was for me. Loads off at work with it now. We had escaped mostly through the pandemic ( primary school).
So I went went to work despite symptoms because all tests were negative. This is how it is spreading so quickly.
Soon there will be no free tests anyway.

fortyfourfeasts · 18/03/2022 09:35

Day 7 here.
First symptoms were sore throat, aches and a short lived high temperature.
Then coughing, sneezing and headaches.
All that has died down a bit, apart from coughing.
Main problem throughout has been feeling exhausted.
Odd little things too like itchy eyes and chest, stomach ache, slight earache and mouth ulcers.
It's a joy 🙄

Climbingthelaundrymountain · 18/03/2022 09:44

Really tired, cough, blocked nose. Had a raised temp last night but normal today.

Georgeskitchen · 18/03/2022 09:50

Felt awful Tuesday I thought it was after one hours sleep Monday night then work . Freezing cold: terrible aching legs. Tested positive Wednesday. Sore throat intermittent cough, intermittent headache. Stuffed nose

WhatwouldRuthdo · 18/03/2022 09:54

Day 4 and now it’s coughing, sneezing, sore throat and tiredness. Headaches and chills earlier in the week. 4 year old DC had vomiting and a temp for a day or two but is now bounding around.

Thewindwhispers · 18/03/2022 10:01

DD had high temp (around 100) for 2 days and one night of coughing. Off her food for 4 days, now back to normal.

DH and I (both vaccinated, PCR positive) had no symptoms apart from the occasional sneeze and achy bones. But every 5 hrs or so we suddenly feel exhausted, like even lifting up a cup of tea is not worth the effort, and eg cooking dinner seems a huge challenge. It passes in 30 mins or so and eating high energy food like nuts seems to help a lot. But it is a very weird feeling that I haven’t had before.

Still, much prefer all this to flipping norovirus. No sheets to wash this time, so we’re winning…

SundayTeatime · 18/03/2022 10:06

Started with sore throat, and then cold-like symptoms- runny nose and genetic congested. I feel ok otherwise, though tired.

SundayTeatime · 18/03/2022 10:07

Generally, not genetic.
