Has anyone else never had covid?

Just about everyone I know has now had covid at some point over last few years. It’s been in our household twice and we didn’t isolate from each other but I never tested positive. I have had times when I’ve felt ill and then found close contacts have tested positive so I’ve been sure I must have but always tested negative. Not complaining at all, if anything I consider myself lucky, just think it’s odd and I seem to be a minority.

Myself nor DM have had it.

SilverSplitsTheBlue · 16/03/2022 18:27

I worked in a care with positive residents too.

safefacespace · 16/03/2022 18:31

Nope not me or my husband

filka · 16/03/2022 18:38

No, but some close shaves where people in my office have tested positive. And I've managed to get 5 jabs of three different vaccines, due to spending a lot of time abroad.

SaltySeaAir · 16/03/2022 18:42

Up until today nobody in our house had tested positive, my 6 year old did today 🤦

Girkkuli · 16/03/2022 18:57

I feel positive because I didn't get delta from Dh and dc. I did pcr and lfts. All negative. Otherwise I would think I just been lucky not to get across it.

LtMoose · 16/03/2022 19:00

I haven't had it! And I've not been that careful either, I have however followed the rules and I'm vaccinated

Donut22 · 16/03/2022 19:02

Me and my 3 children haven't had it that we know of!

raspberryjamchicken · 16/03/2022 19:09

Me, primary teacher. Have literally had kids sneeze on me then test positive later that day. My own family had it and I didn't get it.
Every time I say that though I feel certain it must be my turn next!

Abraxan · 16/03/2022 19:28

I've had it twice - I'm CV, now had 4 jabs and teach primary. Both times it's almost certainly come from pupils at school. Once pre vaccines, last time after 3.

I didn't isolate within the house. I still sat/ate with dh and dd. Dh still shared bed and bathroom with me.

However, Dh has never caught it so far. He tests if ill (to be fair, that's not often) and tests if he has to go and see elderly/vulnerable clients. He hasn't been particularly careful in the last year. Always negative - LFT and PCRs.

DD hasn't either. She's been in close contact a lot - with me, with fellow student flat mates and those in course, even sharing a tent with her friend at a festival (friend tested positive when they got home.) she definitely hasn't been particularly careful in the last year, going to festivals, holidays, clubs and bars. She has tested regularly - last summer she felt like she had a regular slot at the PCR drive through when it was after each close contact - and had two virus acquired antibody tests. All negative, every time.

ReacherMargrave · 16/03/2022 19:29

I've not had it but I want to get it out of the way!

Wellbythebloodyhell · 16/03/2022 19:31

I've not and I have been testing twice weekly for work for a year, I also did an antibody test last summer which was negative so I know I didn't have it unknowingly in the beginning before testing was easy to do.

YanTanTetheraPetheraPimp · 16/03/2022 19:34

Neither DH nor I have had it and I know of way less than a dozen people who’ve had it.
Long may that last 😊

Bumply · 16/03/2022 21:33

Not had it, even though DS2 (20 asthmatic) triple vaxxed had it last week along with ds1 (24) double vaxxed.

Notdoingthis · 17/03/2022 03:03

My dh has to lft for work every day and always negative. He has also had countless pcr and always negative. I have managed to have only one pcr and quite a few lft, always negative. The kids have had many pcr between them. We had one positive once, broke the class bubble and all that stress but she was not unwell and none of us got it. There has been a lot of rule following for us, not much illness to fear.

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 17/03/2022 03:05

All of us in this house. Maybe we're just lucky?

frenchiemummy92 · 17/03/2022 04:33

Only DP had had it before vaccines. No one else had caught it until Tuesday when DD1 tested positive.

knowinglesseveryday · 17/03/2022 09:38

My DH has never had it over the last two years, but he did last week finally.

Katie517 · 17/03/2022 15:06

I’ve not and with the amount of positive people I have had contact with over the last few months I don’t think I’m ever going to get it. I’m not worried about it or careful, I no longer wear a mask go to plenty of “high risk” places, gym classes, soft play, into the office, theatres etc. but I am also never ill with anything else either so I do think having a strong immune system is key to avoiding it.

soberfabulous · 17/03/2022 15:16

I've never had it and no one in the family has.

crispmidnightpeace · 17/03/2022 16:05

Not that I know of. I've never taken a test, never worn a mask, and never had a vaccine and not been sick this year. When this all began and there was a new coronavirus going round I carried on my normal routine of ensuring mine and my family's health through our diet and habits and we have all been absolutely fine.

Watercoloursky · 17/03/2022 19:23

So far, me - but I might be jinxing that as my OH has just tested positive today. We're both triple jabbed and have managed to avoid it for the last couple of years despite some close contacts (colleagues, a family member we saw over Christmas who tested positive the next day, etc) but it's finally got him! I'm still testing negative, but let's see - I'm not going to try to avoid him.

SewingBees · 17/03/2022 19:32

I haven't had it and I was immunosuppressed for 5 months last year while Omicron rampaged through my daughter's school. I have no idea how I managed to avoid it.

MaryShelley1818 · 17/03/2022 19:33

Nobody in our house until 2 days ago, now all 4 of us are positive.
Luck eventually ran out!

glowingcandle · 17/03/2022 19:39

Me, and I haven't been particularly careful. Followed the rules, had the vaccine etc but have been going out and about as normal whenever it's been allowed.
