Has anyone else never had covid?

Just about everyone I know has now had covid at some point over last few years. It’s been in our household twice and we didn’t isolate from each other but I never tested positive. I have had times when I’ve felt ill and then found close contacts have tested positive so I’ve been sure I must have but always tested negative. Not complaining at all, if anything I consider myself lucky, just think it’s odd and I seem to be a minority.

MotherofPearl · 08/04/2022 09:00

Still nothing.

Nightswimmer80 · 08/04/2022 17:34

umpkj · 08/04/2022 18:46

I tested myself in the morning and afternoon. Both negative. I feel like I have mild cold. Dh had mild cold last week.

pradavilla · 08/04/2022 18:57

Me well not that I know of. I have had a gd few pcr tests.

Malahaha · 09/04/2022 12:25

I've not had it and neither has anyone in my family or closer contacts. We are all unjabbed. But then I have never tested. I did have a cold a few weeks ago.
I am confident about my natural immunity as I take vitamin d3 supplements (4000-10000 iu daily) and test my level regularly: last time it was 186 nmol/L, which is excellent. I also have a very healthy diet and exercise regularly.

My DParents haven’t, one of whom works outside the home F/T.

I was irrationally peed off when DP brought it home to me, having avoided it by my own fair hand until then!

It is entirely possible that you haven’t had it BUT as you have never tested you can’t be sure. I have friends who had to test as a work requirement and had it without even a sniffle or with a bit of a cold. Another who, as part of a scientific trial, was tested for antibodies which showed he HAD had covid but he’d only had a heavy cold (pre routine testing).

I have a healthy diet, exercise regularly, take supplements advised for my age and caught it in school after we were no longer allowed to stop infected children from attending. It was a very heavy cold, only one day when I would previously have considered myself too I’ll for work but I ended up with just over a week off before I could show two negative tests. I actually felt absolutely fine after three or four days.

Yes, I know I have possibly had it by now, but that's a good thing! If so it was asymptomatic or very mild -- I had a one-day cold a while ago.
I really am not interested in knowing. If I've had it all the better for my immune system!

Young people in Austria who were not vaccinated and didn't want to be were deliberately trying to get infected just so they could count as "recovered", in order to evade Austria's very strict mandate. Fortunately that mandate has been dropped.

Nidan2Sandan · 10/04/2022 09:12

Well, about 50 million people in this country havent had it 🤷🏻‍♀️

worriedatthistime · 10/04/2022 09:52

Just to add first time ai had it LFT was never positive just PCR that confirmed

ReacherMargrave · 12/04/2022 15:31

I have caught it after 2 years!

Sillymummies123 · 12/04/2022 16:21

Bizarre. I teach, and so have been in regular contact with cases. My own toddler had it last year and I cuddled him to sleep every night.

Then last Wednesday came... sore throat and a sleepless night from an inconsolable 7 months old. All tested positive in the morning and it has been one of the worst bugs of my life, second only to noro and the flu, which I had last Dec and two Dec ago respectively. Still in bed now. Stomach cramps have begun and I'm aching like a bitch. Mood has tanked too :(

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 13/04/2022 08:10

Me and the husband have never tested for covid ever.

I eat badly, avoid exercise and take no supplements. I test regularly and have had neither covid nor a cold in years Grin
