Is anybody else currently positive?

Second time for me. First time was July of 2020 (asymptomatic then)

How are you doing? What symptoms do you have? How long ago did it start for you?

I tested positive this morning after I had an inkling that my 'cold' could possibly be covid.

I have a mild cough, bit pleghmy and my body aches. I was hot and cold throughout the night so didn't sleep well at all. Very scary dreams too

I have 3 young children, two of which started feeling unwell on Monday but are alot better now bar some snot. I'm a little worried about my baby though, he's 4 months. He seems fine during the day but during the night he sounds quite croaky and congested.

If anybody wants to keep us company whilst we recover that would be lovely as I'm a tiny bit nervous.

Oh no, sending good wishes. I'm day 5 and feel flu like with no smell, persistent sore lower back pain that won't shift. Felt like this on and off for 6 weeks before showing a positive test. Lucky I don't have tiny ones to look after and my partner is a Saint.

Yes to weird dreams. I've had burning sinuses and weird smell sporadically since I had covid last June.

Also have a disabled DH - he doesn't currently need care but definitely can't give it. DD is being an absolute legend.

It's just unreasonable, this thing. If it's not mega snot exploding out of my face or pain everywhere (especially in the kidneys) or dizziness, then it's my throat and lungs burning or vomiting or diarrhoea or just cramps. Bastard illness

Quite pleased to read this thread as I thought I might have a cold + Covid but it seems like my symptoms are on a par with lots of you.

Day 4 or 5 here and feeling worse every day, super lethargic, snotty, sinussy, coughy and headachey. Not as bad as the proper flu I had once but still not great.

Can't even follow any of the tips re decent meds as I'm pregnant so it's paracetemol or nothing! Would love some night nurse to knock me out overnight!

Desperately hoping for some improvement tomorrow...!

DH still testing negative despite seemingly having all the cold symptoms I have (just not all the other fun bits) - we haven't tested the toddler as there's been no point as it's been no nursery for them anyway.

Yes I keep getting told how mild it is now. I think people think I'm making it up. Then they see me and can see I'm not well.

I have found my people! Day 2 for me, my 7 year old son is on day 3 and my 12 year old started with symptoms today.

Started with sore throat, coughing and sneezing. Now exhausted, very dizzy, one odd extreme sweating half hour. Just want to be in bed. Started with some aching this afternoon too in my legs and chest.
Hope you all are able to get some restful sleep tonight!

Does anybody else feel as though they're not taking in as much oxygen as usual? I don't know how to word it as not to sound melodramatic. I can breath, but feel a bit short of breath at the same time.

I could do with a pulse oxi meter for my peace of mind 😩

Mild, my arse. Ok, so I'm not in hospital, but flat on my back for days isn't mild.

Day 9 here. Mild cold feeling, occasional headaches, head feels congested but no runny nose or anything. Mainly just exhausted. First 2 days I felt sick but that's gone off now.

DD 18 tested positive today. On Wednesday developed a hoarse voice and a slight cough. LFT negative. Today took a test as two positive cases at work - was positive within 2 minutes. Now banished to her room and says she is ok - I am completely stressed though!

@Verity226 DH has a fairly new (might be the newest, im not sure) Apple Watch which measures 'blood oxygen' - I've borrowed his watch a couple of times to check on myself - I don't know how scientific it is but I figure it's a comparison thing!

DH has it. First time in the pandemic. Cold symptoms, v mild cough, v fatigued, temp up and down. Was CEV.

Day 4 for me and my body still aches all over!

I’m on day 4. I received a text from my GP advising me to get an oximeter or sign up for a nurse service to come and check symptoms and oxygen levels, due to underlying condition. I amazoned one. So far all looking ok though heart rate seems high but I guess that’s normal for infection.

I had two horrendous days and nights but slowly getting better now. Still have nausea and no voice, as well as fatigue and sweats.

It’s also the first time I’ve had it, despite teaching in a special school! I also thought I was immune!

Day 4 here - got it from DD1 who tested positive last Monday. I was starting to think I was super immune (obviously not).

Symptom wise, have had a really bad headache, can’t smell anything and have a heavy cold, sore throat and cough. And just so tired…I can’t get enough sleep, just feel completely exhausted.

I never take time off work, but had to have Friday off to sleep and based on how I feel still, I might have to take Monday off too.

Just tested positive, have had symptoms, not classic three, from Friday night when I had D&V, very tired yesterday when everytime I sat down I dropped off, then by evening I had a cold and sore throat.

I feel shocking but sod's law my positive 6 year old is now perfectly fine and bouncing off walls. Send help 🤣

Gosh seem to be a lot of recent positives. Hope you all has an ok night. Today (day 3) my cough is worse again and I feel a bit out of breath, especially after going up stairs. Staying in bed!

Morning! I hot a negative result result today! Hurrah!

Feeling good. Slept OK again. My covid hands seem to have subsided! Hope everyone else is on the mend soon.

I don't know what day I'm on, technically two I suppose. A sore throat on Thursday which progressed at night to feeling awful. Friday car crash but negative tests both days. Saturday a train wreck but positive test.

I'm struggling with not going anywhere. I had to go into little Tesco as they wouldn't serve DD for lemsip but felt awful about it. I'd hate to think I passed it on.

I dodged this bullet for two bloody years. DH even had it a few weeks back and despite close contact I never caught it. Thought I was immune. Don't even know where I got it from but we did one random day in the office and a colleague I sat next to tested positive two days before me but it was a week previous that we sat together so no idea where it's from.

Me. Dodged it when DD had it in January but not so lucky second time around. DS tested positive on Thursday and DH yesterday so wasn't surprised I did today. So far just got a really annoying cough, hope it stays mild!

Basically, if I don't get superpowers from this shit, I'm gonna be pissed.
