Just wondering how it's going for you, what day you're on and what you're doing today.

I'm not really sure which day I'm on - iffy throat for an hour Monday (which isn't uncommon for me), had a really bad night Tuesday even/night, didn't feel great Wednesday, but only tested positive Thursday. I've done what could be a day 5 test and T line is brighter than C line. I have times when I can function, other times I just can't do or cope with anything. My symptoms are mild compared to DH who's really struggling - he had an iffy throat like me Sunday evening but didn't test positive until Tuesday. He's struggling to swallow, very red eyes, lots of sneezing and coughing still - he's done for.

We're both up (can't sleep anyway). The limit of our day is tv, internet and reading a couple of pages here and there. Bathroom needs cleaning and I can see bits and dust everywhere, but can't face that!

Day 9 for DS and he is still testing strongly positive, he still feels unwell but nothing awful. He has A levels this year but what can you do.

The bad news is DH got up during the night to test as he suddenly felt awful, it’s negative but I think he’s got it. He soaked through his pjs twice! He is a up at 5 am go getting type and is currently on the sofa, unheard of.

Has anybody got an itchy red rash? Mine is appearing in various places over my body. Shoulders and arms mainly. I’m in day 3 and not bolstered.

Yes I came out in a chicken pox type rash.
Oti22 · 08/02/2022 14:51

I had a heat type rash on my upper back before I tested positive and a couple of days after, seems to have gone now (day 6)...

I was still getting negative LFTs when I woke overnight feeling awful. In fact even the next day it was super super feint
Himawarigirl · 08/02/2022 16:33

I am also getting a rash - the list of symptoms seems endless

ifonly4 · 08/02/2022 18:14

On day 7 as well. Testing positive, I can't WFH so lucky to have the benefit of taking the day as it comes, so I can catch up on housework (house was filthy even by my standards). Having said that only managed to put washing on, some dusting and food. Actually feel better today, although a bit more sneezey.

I'm on day 8 now, still testing a strong positive. Just mild cold symptoms now bar exhaustion. Dh on day 2 and he seems fine thus far.

My worst was probably days 1 to 5, I felt spaced out, tired, short of breath, hot and cold, cold/headache. Nothing that had me bed bound, but not fit for much bar tacking household chores at a slow pace and then sitting down for a long breather in between 😁

SunshineMoon100 · 09/02/2022 04:02

Hi what a great thread. Currently on day 2/3 and have sore throat and congested a little.

SazCat · 09/02/2022 08:56

I'm day 5 now and it's all on my chest now really, the cough is horrible. Bit snotty still but thankfully the awful sore throat has gone and not going hot/cold anymore.
Got a bit more sleep too, but baby is now coughing a lot so she's very unsettled 😔

BlueAbacus · 09/02/2022 09:26

More sleep last night and woke up (day 5/6) pretty much feeling normal apart from a cough. Hope it continues like this! Strong positive LFT though so no early release for me.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 09/02/2022 09:46

Day 8 and my cold is worse than ever - totally bunged up! Hmm

ScrumptiousBears · 09/02/2022 09:57

Day 6 for me. My LFT had the fainted line so fingers crossed for tomorrow and Friday. I feel a lot better today as well. I have to be out of isolation by Friday as DP is back to work and I need to manage the kids by myself. Finders crossed I think I'll get there just.

Hb12 · 09/02/2022 10:27

Day 9, more snotty again. 🙄

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 09/02/2022 10:34

Day 10 and tested negative this morning. Still feel really tired but otherwise I'm ok, going to potter in the garden for a bit and try and top up the Vit D / get some fresh air before going back to teach tomorrow.

mulberrybag5 · 09/02/2022 10:58

Day 8 for me and I went for a run (obviously have had neg tests!) and felt fine. I hope it continues!

ifonly4 · 09/02/2022 13:16

Day 8 now. Still a strong red line. My worst days were 1-5, and I have to say I feel almost normal now , so much so I'd have given work a go today, or even better gone for coffee if I was allowed. Managed to do a (very) short online exercise class earlier. No joke for anyone still feeling bad now.

SazCat hope your little one is ok.

Day 8 for me, levelled off a bit, bunged up last night, sneezing and a bit of coughing. Not properly ill but not back to normal either. Might do a test later.

DH still feels ill but lateral flow is negative, not sure what to think.

Hope those of you with babies and toddlers are managing ok.

LSLLM · 09/02/2022 22:54

Day 7 and I am definitely negative and definitely feeling normal.

Having had delta last year and tested positive for two weeks, I never believed anyone could get a negative so fast.

HoneyFlowers · 10/02/2022 00:01

3 weeks for me now and still very tired and shortness of breath/crap in lungs and foggy head.

Negative on day 6 here! Feeling pretty much back to normal and hoping there isn’t a setback ahead. Hope everyone is doing ok this morning

SazCat · 10/02/2022 09:40

Very strong line on day 6 😔 this is the first day I actually feel like I could go out for some fresh air as well.
A potter in the garden may be in order for me and the 10 month old!
Feeling a lot brighter today, just tight chest and cough remain.
Baby is less snotty, yay! Seems brighter too, she's happily playing ☺

Newrunner29 · 10/02/2022 09:46
