It seems that it’s not just the Conservative party breaking lockdown rules.

So, no.

Why are you being so selective in which parts of people's comments you are answering/acknowledging?

Do you have any photographic evidence of Keir Starmer breaking lockdown law?

Clavinova · 15/01/2022 14:35

Scottish Daily Express - was Angela Rayner there as well?

The photo was taken through the window of Labour MP Mary Foy's office on April 30 last year, when Mr Starmer and Angela Rayner visited the north-east of England ahead of the Hartlepool by-election.

When it first emerged, Labour said no rules were broken because "Keir was in the workplace, meeting a local MP in her constituency office and participating in an online Labour Party event. They paused for dinner as the meeting was during the evening."

However, local Lib Dem councillor Mark Wilkes, who was forced to celebrate his birthday without his family on the same day, said: "I wasn't able to see my son that day because of lockdown.

"The hypocrisy of some people is just unbelievable. If you are going to stand up and start having a go when you have been up to something similar yourself - it really makes me angry."

Yawn

Clavinova · 15/01/2022 14:39

Yawn

Do worry - I have to go now anyway.

kittensinthekitchen · 15/01/2022 14:41

That's a shame, maybe you can answer the other questions when you get back from whichever TV show you simply must watch.

FriedasCarLoad · 15/01/2022 14:42

Honestly, I'm mildly disappointed in Sir Keir. I honestly thought he'd be sticking to the rules completely.

Nothing like as angry as I am at the Prime Minister. Whether flouting his own rules, drinking on the job, or encouraging a work environment marked by both of those, he has behaved shamefully. I hope he fits the honourable thing and resigns.

Lonelycrab · 15/01/2022 14:43

Please stay. Always enjoyable watching someone scrape the bottom of the barrel.

Thing is, no one is buying it, in case you hadn’t noticed. Not even your own conservative MPs. Lol

SpindleyCrow · 15/01/2022 15:25

You know, these spad-bot-like threads supported by well-known whack-jobs just make me dislike Keir Starmer a lot less.

Boris Johnson meanwhile is still the dangerous substance-abusing lunatic he always was.

kittensinthekitchen · 15/01/2022 15:31

The Tory version of "not over until the fat lady sings"...

Its not over until the sparkly lady plays half a violin.

ThunderCrow · 15/01/2022 15:32

Do you honestly believe if they're was any shit the Daily Mail wouldn't be relying on a crap picture published in The Sun many months ago? There is no other shit other than Tory related shit. The desperation in this article is proof of that!

Exactly. If this single, over used grainy photo of Keir drinking a beer is all they've got to counter the weeks upon weeks or 'leaks' about parties from the Conservatives then all it does, for me, is highlight how little there is to hurt the Labour party with in this topic.

dinit · 15/01/2022 15:36

Russian trolling? 🤣

Port1aCastis · 15/01/2022 15:44

Well OP I gotta give it to you, you actually managed to get me to click on a daily fail link but couldn't see much

Cornettoninja · 15/01/2022 16:38

@Clavinova

he was outside enjoying the party

Do you have a photo of Boris Johnson 'enjoying the party''? He looks serious in the zoom quiz and the other garden photo.

I should hope he wasn’t with Carrie sat right next to him. I’m going to hazard a guess she shouldn’t be party to politically sensitive discussions.
over2021 · 15/01/2022 16:47

Kier Starmer could have been on an all day bender in his pants and I'd still rather he was in charge than Alexander Johnson (I'm refusing to call him Boris anymore as I've realised Boris is a brand and they probably laugh at us plebs- can't remember any other PM that is referred to so openly by their nickname Hmm)

StarbucksSmarterSister · 15/01/2022 16:47

I can quite clearly see a second bottle of beer on the windowsill in the op's link.

There are 5 people in the room. You have no idea whose beer it was.

Utter desperationGrin. It's so laughable.

Brindle88 · 15/01/2022 17:05

I can’t believe Keir eats and drinks. I’m shocked !

Skiptheheartsandflowers · 15/01/2022 18:17

TWO bottles of beer? Knocks 'Wine Time
Fridays' into perspective, eh? Hmm

Seriously, is that all you've got? Johnson is toast.

itsgettingweird · 15/01/2022 18:48

He said he thought he was attending a work event and left after 25 minutes - even so, I don't see how drinks on the lawn is a green flag to a party in the basement when he is away for the weekend.

It's this that has confirmed to me he's a weak leader. If your own employees do such atrocious and disrespectful things they don't respect you. That's a problem.

And if they don't respect the Pm of the country then they do t re-elect anyone else within it.

Employees will run with the culture and ethos of a workplace.

This made me laugh. Great way with words!

Your delusional he was laughing on sky news when they asked if he was there what makes you think he wasn't laughing at the actual event. Your a fool just like he is. Sooner he's gone the better, if not for his blatent disregard of his own rules, for the shambolic evening that transpired in his own house the evening before the DoE's funeral. The Queen sat by herself you might do well to remember he's had to apologise to her and the entire country because because he's admitted the rule breaking.
Booklover3 · 16/01/2022 03:28

Honest to god Hmm I am starting to wonder what she’s smoked…

ancientgran · 16/01/2022 10:23

Did anyone see Trevor Phillips on Sky this morning. His description of his April 16th weekend was pretty show stopping.

Where do you think he should have eaten that day? Or do you think when anyone is away on a business trip they should fast?

Do you think your beloved Boris has something to eat and drink when he visits a hospital in Yorkshire or pops up to Glasgow for the COP meeting?

Obviously if people are away on business for a long day they eat and drink. Obviously if people are in their back garden and find it full of people breaking lockdown they can go inside, visit their own kitchen and get something to eat.

ancientgran · 16/01/2022 10:31

@Clavinova

He has admitted to going to the party in May 2020 and that alone I think signed off on them being something that they should do.

He said he thought he was attending a work event and left after 25 minutes - even so, I don't see how drinks on the lawn is a green flag to a party in the basement when he is away for the weekend.

Says alot for his work ethic if he thinks standing in a garden with people drinking is a work event. I don't think he'd recognise work if it walked up a bit him.
