I feel myself and family are the only people on earth that hasn't had Covid, everyone I know has had it!

Oddly enough a friend, who washed down all her groceries til recently, super cautious, has had it twice!

millerpie · 02/01/2022 21:19

DH and I haven’t had it. Work, social life, shops, gigs, busy Christmas week with lots of people and just nothing. I don’t know why.

Dannn · 02/01/2022 21:43

Never had symptoms or tested positive, just had a positive antibody test in June 2020. Been exposed many, many times but never tested positive.

Ietthemeatcake · 04/01/2022 19:42

Why did I respond smugly to this thread yesterday? Tested faintly positive today. Waiting for my PCR to come back and banished to the spare room 😔

PomRuns · 04/01/2022 19:48

I haven’t, work in nhs, poor ventilation in our crowded office, frequent contact with vulnerable patients. Lots of my team have been positive, some twice.

DH and I haven't (not sure about DD as she was really ill September but in a different country and couldn't access a test). I can't believe I haven't as in two high contact jobs, one of which a school. I don't want covid as know what it's like with pneumonia struggling to breathe and in pain, but sort of want it out of the way.

Panicmode1 · 04/01/2022 20:10

I havent had it, despite it hitting our house twice (currently have two of my four children isolating). My daughter and I haven't caught it (yet!); my husband and three sons all have.

balalake1 · 04/01/2022 20:55

I've not, neither has any of my family apart from a distant cousin.

LoLo2020 · 04/01/2022 21:46

I don't think I've had it yet, I was poorly in September with some of the symptoms but tested negative twice on PCR and also lft's. I too have just gone and jinxed it haven't I !

crapatthis1 · 04/01/2022 22:19

Nope - been around it loads but AFAIK I haven't had it.
Only time I thought I did was in Feb 2020 when we were just hearing about it and I was really ill flu like symptoms after returning from Spain and I mentioned it to my docs and they weren't interested as I hadn't been to Wuhan...

cocodomingo · 05/01/2022 19:12

I haven't yet. I've tested negative for antibodies in summer 2020 and again July 2021. My son had it in July this year with headache..I had the same headache but still tested negative on everything...im a nurse so my technique is ok..my daughter has also tested negative throughout.

I find it strange or im somehow clearing the infection before it gets to testable levels..double vaxxed since sep 2021

Bollocks2Covid · 05/01/2022 19:36

Officially no. However I strongly suspect I had it in March 2020, but as there was no testing at the time I will never really know for sure. All I do know is that I had a ‘cold’ unlike any cold I’ve ever had before, with two of the classic. symptoms of persistent cough and fever.

CC1991 · 05/01/2022 20:23

I had the same thing at the same time @Bollocks2Covid.

I have never had a positive PCR, but in the last 3 weeks I've had 4 positive lateral flows and 4 negative PCRs Confused

Sportslady44 · 06/01/2022 13:31

thankully still no and booster today.

Keeping fingers crossed.

NoFitStateMum · 23/04/2022 21:51

I haven't. Neither has DP. The kids had it at the same time and we didn't get it then either. We were double jabbed at the time. We've both had boosters since.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 24/04/2022 09:42

My stepdad still hasn't had it that he knows of.

110APiccadilly · 24/04/2022 10:48

I shouldn't have posted on this thread. Have now had it, over Easter, which is not great timing in one way, but in others (I would normally have lost money if I'd not been able to work, that sort of thing) is quite helpful.

umpkj · 24/04/2022 11:52

I haven't had it yet. We went abroad and I didn't catch it in plane or many public transport trips. Dh and dc had it last summer but haven't gotten omicron.

MrsMariaReynolds · 28/04/2022 17:05

Me! I'm one of a handful of staff at my workplace (primary school) who have managed to avoid it.

I honestly don't know how, especially since many of my colleagues are on their 2nd or 3rd time round.

Franklin12 · 28/04/2022 17:12

I know they say infections are dropping. However if people arent reporting they are positive how are the figures now correct?

They are still doing the ONS survey.
