Triple jabbed and positive, let's have a support/moan thread

So as the title says I'm triple jabbed and tested positive on a lateral this morning. I've had what I thought was a cold for a few days and was testing every day due to seeing family over Xmas and have tested negative until today. Dp is also positive with no symptoms and dd17 is also positive and feels rough. Dp triple jabbed and dd double jabbed. We all have pcr's tomorrow.
So any fellow positive people come join in and let's get through isolation together

@Benjispruce5 I can't even do it in 25 mins when I am well Grin

Exhausteddog · 08/01/2022 20:08

The last few days I've had a weird headache type thing that is not all encompassing, but quite localised. It feels like I have hit my head (I haven't!!) or something has hit my head, at the back just to the left of where I would have a mid head pony tail IYSWIM. The same area each time

WreckTangled · 09/01/2022 09:43

Day 11 line quite faint today fingers crossed it's gone tomorrow so I can go to work!

Exhausteddog · 09/01/2022 09:47

I thought you only had to isolate for a maximum if 10 days (unless you still had a fever?)

WreckTangled · 09/01/2022 10:12

I'm nhs so can't go back to work until I get a single negative lft. Can leave the house today though, just took dd to a friends and it was so nice to be outside!

Roomarmoset · 09/01/2022 21:58

Can I join? I had a positive lft this morning, on my bloody birthday 😭 first time having covid and the timing sucks! Just waiting on pcr results..

Benjispruce5 · 09/01/2022 22:52

Happy birthday @Roomarmoset and I hope you feel better soon.

Chattycatty · 09/01/2022 23:07

Hi all I've tested positive with the lightest possible line imaginable. My ds11 is on day 8 I really thought I'd got away with it. Got a sore throat and a bit of a headache. I'm triple jabbed but significantly overweight so hoping for an easy time can't help be slightly worried.

WreckTangled · 10/01/2022 06:10

Chatty I'm sure you'll be ok as you've had the vaccines.

Day 12 and very faint line. Need to see if my manager will let me.

Roomarmoset · 10/01/2022 07:22

Thank you @Benjispruce5 😊

nopenottodaysatan · 10/01/2022 09:13

Day 8...still testing positive and still feel like crap, woke up like im full of cold. Fed up of everyone saying this is mild....it hasnt felt mild to me!

WreckTangled · 10/01/2022 09:48

I think by 'mild' experts mean not requiring hospitalisation. I hope you turn a corner soon.

It's been confirmed I can't return to work. Meh. So frustrating.

StoopitAutocarrot · 10/01/2022 10:39

Ach phooey, positive test this morning. Symptoms started yesterday, sore throat, sneezy, runny nose, but tested yesterday afternoon and was negative. Had an awful night sleep, and tested positive this morning.

Still able to work from home, and have got plenty of knitting jigsaws and books to keep me occupied.

HappyThursdays · 10/01/2022 12:02

happy birthday @Roomarmoset

I thought I was going to be better by today (day 5 I think depending on how you count) but I had a terrible night last night and I'm normally a good sleeper. Bad sleep really makes it worse! I never normally have colds for longer than a few days so it's annoying that this is dragging on.

it's the brain fog/headaches that are getting to me. Still don't really have a cough other than a tickly one from an irritated throat. Now have a proper runny nose for the first time since I tested positive!

StoopitAutocarrot · 11/01/2022 07:02

This is Tuesday11th, if my symptoms started on Sunday then this is day 3?

Day 6. and 7 would be Friday and Saturday,

And day 10 next Tuesday, 18th.

I’m the sane and yes, that’s how I worked it out. But just remember day 10 isn’t release day, you still isolate until end of that day:

LadyPenelope68 · 11/01/2022 07:14

Same not sane! Although not sure I will be sane by day 10!!

StoopitAutocarrot · 11/01/2022 07:21

Yes, retaining my sanity may be a challenge! Waiting for DH to do his test this morning, he was still negative yesterday

LadyPenelope68 · 11/01/2022 07:39

@StoopitAutocarrot
We all lateral flowed Friday (part of my job) and we’re all negative. My youngest son felt unwell Saturday afternoon (just off colour, not really Covid-19 signs) so did another test which was positive, went straight for PCR which came back positive Sunday morning. DH, eldest son and I all lateral flowed again then and were negative. I felt really headachey Sunday evening so did another, immediate positive. DH and eldest thought they better do same and they were both positive. Just waiting for PCR results. I was quite surprised how quick mine went from negative at lunchtime to immediate and strong positive just 4 hours later.

WreckTangled · 11/01/2022 08:39

@StoopitAutocarrot no. Today is day 2, the day your symptoms started is day 0.

Triple jabbed and positive, let's have a support/moan thread
WreckTangled · 11/01/2022 08:41

Also sorry to say I'm now day 12 and still positive. It's very faint so I'm hoping tomorrow it'll be gone

@WreckTangled
I totally don’t agree with being out of isolation if you’re still testing positive, but legally you don’t have to isolate after your 10 days even if you’re still positive. I think it’s bonkers!

LadyPenelope68 · 11/01/2022 09:35

@WreckTangled apologies, you are correct about the days - I was looking at my sons isolation days - he started the day before me!

WreckTangled · 11/01/2022 09:39

@LadyPenelope68 I've mentioned on this thread a few times that I work for NHS and we're not allowed back to work until we have a negative LFT. I was out of isolation Sunday, day 11, but have been unable to return to work. Not sure what their reasoning is for that but I know the trust have questioned it but they're not allowed to budge.
