How many positives cases do you know right now?

From living in an area that thankfully had low numbers in previous waves, it’s been the opposite this time and I’m surprised how many people I know currently have it. Some of them aren’t sure where they’re catching it either (no kids/jobs); are triple jabbed and ‘careful’ with mask wearing etc.

None ATM. Every other person seemed to get it back in July when Delta was running rife.

Over the last 10 days - 17, including my 2 dcs. More than EVER before.

So many… (myself included). I read earlier than 1 in 2 PCR tests in Ireland is positive! (I’m not in Ireland but was just reading it). So anyone with a cough or sniffle testing has Covid. Not to mention the asymptomatic ones. It’s crazily rife at the moment. I wonder what the outcome will be - surely everyone will have antibodies after this?

Of the 8 of family who are all boosted and isolated for a week before xmas day, 3 so far have had a +ve lft today .

I know 15 within the last 3 weeks and theres prob more they just haven't tested

Oh yes - two of the people I know (parents of DC3's classmate) are confirmed second infections (presumably omicron, following earlier variant before) Don't know if any others are

None at the moment, and since covid started - a total of maybe 5 ? And I don't live rurally.

Positive PCRs -9
Symptomatic COVID -1 and then it's only loss of taste and smell

Just today, 4 people who have already had delta are positive again. Blows my immunity theory out of the water.

Zero and personally know about ten cases over the last two years

Over the past 2-3 weeks - some are clear now. 12 people, one needed admission to hospital for 3 days (young with no known health issues).
All (except 2 toddlers) double-vaccinated, majority with booster. No school-age children, people who are careful and take sensible precautions and wear masks.
From 3 different groups of family/friends and not connected living in different parts of the country.
Very scary times.

Both docs from our surgery. 4 family members. 4 friends and our 2 next door neighbours. Never known it so bad but they are all mild that I know of

5 but goes up a lot if I add on people who had it before Christmas

6 that I know personally and about the same again who are Facebook acquaintances so old school friends/work colleagues

Probably about 20. 15 school kids, my son and three adults. But all pre Christmas/last week of term. It seems to have dropped off since.

Very weird as I haven’t known anyone with it, but now me and my whole family have it and since then everyone I know seems to have it too- unrelated to us as we haven’t had contact with them and some of them live miles, or continents away.

8 but likely to rise. Knew hardly anyone who had it before December
