From living in an area that thankfully had low numbers in previous waves, it’s been the opposite this time and I’m surprised how many people I know currently have it. Some of them aren’t sure where they’re catching it either (no kids/jobs); are triple jabbed and ‘careful’ with mask wearing etc.

None.

In the time covid has been around only my cousin and aunty have tested positive, that was about 6 months ago.

Spreadingtheword · 29/12/2021 00:22

^ that I know of personally, obviously! I suspect there are a lot more people I don’t personally know who have had positive tests.

None and still don't know anyone who has had it

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 29/12/2021 00:29

Oh and the only people I do know who've had it is my family (myself and DC plus one 90yo auntie), and that was way back in January. No one since then and no one before it.

Flaxmeadow · 29/12/2021 00:29

Loads probably but hard to know for sure. No tests available at all. Lateral Flow or PCR (postal or drive in), no one can get hold of either test

One of dhs colleagues. Two of my colleagues and their spouses and dc. Plus several fb acquaintances. Over the last month there have been quite a few more, there seems to have been a noticible increase.

Loads, and we are a rural area that has been pretty low before now. It's spreading like, well, a disease in a pandemic.

9 people across 4 families

User3456 · 29/12/2021 00:38

9 at the moment. Expecting more from Xmas gatherings to follow, sadly.

Goneback2school · 29/12/2021 00:39

3 I think. A workmate caught it from her dd when there was an outbreak at her creche. And my cousin had done all necessary testing to come home from the UK for Christmas. Only when she was on the way was she told she was a close contact and has subsequently tested positive.

Three, but most people I know now have had it apart from older relatives.
