Is he scaremongering?
I’ve seen similar messages from drs who have been reliably sensible over the last two years.
The R number is higher than previous variants, so even if fewer people are seriously ill it could still mean hospitals are overwhelmed.
I’m not sure why people assume these are lies.
Hopefully the forecasted numbers prove to not be accurate, but only time will tell.
