On a scale of 1-10?

I'm triple vaxxed but haven't had Covid yet (lucky me)!

I'd put myself on about a 5 anxiety wise for Delta, a 7/8 for Omicron.

Just don't know who or what to believe on infection risks...

I have covid just now, it’s been rough but on the mend. I get worried my elderly relatives getting it. But im worried if the schools shut. Im not a keyworker, so won’t qualify for a school place. I worry about my two children 9 and 11. Who have suffered severe anxiety after the last lockdown. My sons still getting extra support. My daughters class out of 27, had 21 kids still attending the last time. My daughter had to watch them have a onesie day online. Their education was stalled, I feel so sorry for them. I could cry.

changingstages · 15/12/2021 16:37

was probably about a...4? Maybe 5.

Now DD is really ill with it and I'd say 9. It's awful.

fournonblondes · 15/12/2021 16:38

0 for Covid

10 for the way U.K. is handling the whole thing.

vera99 · 15/12/2021 16:38

Lidl where we are in Kent looked like a bomb had hit it. Covid 1 personally effect on services and NHS 10. God help anyone who needs critical or acute care over the next 6 weeks with the level of rampant infection even for triple jabbed personnel how can it not topple the NHS if current isolation and testing rules apply. My student dentist at Guy's rang me yesterday to cancel as he has got it with his girlfriend and are self-isolating. And if you've seen the daily scrum for the lifts in the Tower then I don't see how it can't rip through the place.

Silverswirl · 15/12/2021 16:38

Covid 1
Schools closing / lockdown and the damage that causes 10

Kanaloa · 15/12/2021 16:38

I’m not worried about catching Covid, or at least not any more than I’m worried about any other illness.

I’m a bit worried about things shutting/going back into lockdown again with disruption for my kids. People say things like ‘it’s only a small sacrifice for health’ but to a child not being able to go to ballet class/not playing with friends/not accessing sen support is a huge sacrifice.

I have four kids ranging from 6yo to 11. How am I supposed to support their learning? I’m not qualified to teach a high schooler about maths. I’m not qualified to support an autistic child’s learning. I can’t provide socialisation opportunities in my living room. It’s a nightmare situation.

Starcup · 15/12/2021 16:39

Covid = 0

MH of my family = 10

Player067 · 15/12/2021 16:39

For myself - 2. Passing onto elderly and vulnerable relatives - 9. Lockdown in January - 9.

Dancingonmoonlight · 15/12/2021 16:39

Its in our house at the moment. Cold symptoms - a mild temp for a few days and a runny nose. If it wasn't covid, we'd have a couple of paracetamol and would go about our daily routines as normal.

Starcup · 15/12/2021 16:39

@brogued

Healthy people are not scared of covid anymore.
Problem is, they are though….
Rainbowdrops2021 · 15/12/2021 16:41

0 for covid, I had it before vaccines.
10 for another lockdown. Everyone around me looks how I feel, people are being so ground down by this now and it’s seriously impacting peoples mental health.

Minniem2020 · 15/12/2021 16:42

Covid- 0
Nurseries closing and me being screwed for childcare and therefore unable to work- 10

WonderfulYou · 15/12/2021 16:42

1 - covid
2 - restrictions like bars, restaurants etc
4 - pressure on hospitals etc as it’s been difficult enough to get a GP or dentist appointment as it is.

I am not a worrier as I try and focus on the present and not what might be.
However my school closed on Monday which has caused a bit of anxiety as I think it’s hit me that it’s getting bad again.

OMG12 · 15/12/2021 16:42

Covid 1

Effect on mental health esp of kids in relation to restrictions -9

Mob mentality/witch hunts 12

milly74 · 15/12/2021 16:43

TempsPerdu · 15/12/2021 16:43

Covid - maybe around 1 or 2 for us as a family

Restrictions/lockdowns - 9 I think the long term repercussions will be devastating, especially for the current generation of children and young people.

Sittingonabench · 15/12/2021 16:43

Me getting Covid -4
Me passing on Covid - 7-8
Everything else - way over 10

Auntieobem · 15/12/2021 16:44

Personally healthwise not worried at all. I work for nhs/social care and am terrified about what's about to hit us

Inastatus · 15/12/2021 16:44

0 for covid - I’ve had it and I’m triple jabbed
10 - for the level of hysteria surrounding it

foodledoff · 15/12/2021 16:45

Covid - 0
Lockdown, schools shutting, societal implications, peoples livelihoods, mass hysteria - 10

forgotthebatteries · 15/12/2021 16:46

About catching covid - 0/1
The long term effects of restrictions on our children, jobs and other health issues - 8

Lucyinthesky07 · 15/12/2021 16:46

0 for covid
10 for everything else I'm going through.
However, covid impacts on the other things I'm going through (it's an added barrier).

BHX3000 · 15/12/2021 16:46

Covid - 0
The healthcare system getting overwhelmed - 10
Restrictions - 11. I won’t be able to cope again, in all honesty.

MarshaBradyo · 15/12/2021 16:46

I’m relieved to see so many feel the same

Rather than the usual freaking over numbers etc

WeAreTheHeroes · 15/12/2021 16:47

Getting Covid about 2 but suspect it would be mild. I've got shingles and feel like shite though.
