On a scale of 1-10?

I'm triple vaxxed but haven't had Covid yet (lucky me)!

I'd put myself on about a 5 anxiety wise for Delta, a 7/8 for Omicron.

Just don't know who or what to believe on infection risks...

1 - had covid before vaccinations were even a thing and no more worried about it than common cold. Would be 0 if that's where scale started.
10 - Restrictions, lockdown, increasing mental health issues including health anxiety, radicalisation as people aren't getting out the house/ more time online, economy. I'm convinced there will be another lockdown in New year, much to the detriment of society.

actiongirl1978 · 15/12/2021 16:06
  1. I currently have covid for the second time in 4 months, and I'm triple vaxxd.
otterlybonkers · 15/12/2021 16:06

more worried about my future, kids future's, never having full autonomy anymore. More so than the risk of dying with (oops, of) covid.

am pro vax and have had e-fucking-nough.

Comedycook · 15/12/2021 16:06

Not at all worried about covid in terms of my own health and never have been

Papyrus · 15/12/2021 16:06

7 - not so much about catching it myself, but I am concerned on the knock on impact on societal infrastructure if millions are off sick at once. Will hospitals be adequately staffed? Will supply chains hold up? Will there be the police and fire service if you need them? Will there be enough council staff to keep local services going to support the vulnerable?

It doesn't take much for the impact to be felt and things to fall apart quickly.

snowmansballs33 · 15/12/2021 16:08

Scared of covid for my vulnerable family members more than myself. Although I'm pregnant so I guess I'm vulnerable too. So I'd say 7.

Delatron · 15/12/2021 16:08

0 for Covid. Currently have it. Have had worse colds. In fact I think after 48 hours I’m mostly better. DS had it asymptomatically in Nov.

9/10 for more crappy restrictions. We need a new plan.

secretllama · 15/12/2021 16:09

0 for covid.
10 for the fact now that lockdown and restrictions seem to be acceptable for the long term.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 15/12/2021 16:09

About catching Covid? 0.

About further restrictions including schools closing? 10. That's way more of a concern for me.

CookSproutsInSoySauce · 15/12/2021 16:10

Yes autonomy too. I received a text asking me to book my vaccine and if I don't want it to click in the link saying why I want to decline it. I know perfectly well it's so they can badger people, telling them why they're wrong and to have the vaccine. I thought it was quite sinister. No means no, government don't seem to understand consent.
teaandtoastwithmarmite · 15/12/2021 16:10

2 had Covid and it was shit but my worry is more for my vulnerable mum.

Highlanders372 · 15/12/2021 16:12

I'm pretty maxed out.

CEV so a 10 for catching covid
Work in the NHS so a 10 for the impact on our services and patients and workload
Child who struggles with homeschooling and is at pretty crucial stage in his education so 10 for more homeschooling.

It's all pretty fucked.

Yellow85 · 15/12/2021 16:13

Worried about catching it - 2

Worried about isolating when bloody negative (Scotland) - 8

Worried about homeschooling again - 8

DynamiteFilledRadish · 15/12/2021 16:13

I agree with all the people saying 10 for fear of restrictions/lockdowns becoming normal and accepted.

User9529057 · 15/12/2021 16:16

2 for catching it, similar to any illness, I would rather not get it
5 for lockdown, I'm retired so not too affected

Charles11 · 15/12/2021 16:18

Covid - 0
Restrictions and limited freedom - 10

zoemum2006 · 15/12/2021 16:19

I've never been scared of catching covid.

I was scared of passing it to a vulnerable person (like DH) but we're both triple vaxxed so feeling ok.

Flaxmeadow · 15/12/2021 16:19

8
Due to SA and London recently showing a higher percent of young people/children in hospital with covid than before.

Hopefully this is an anomaly and it's early days but still concerning

ZoBo123 · 15/12/2021 16:19

Covid 0.
The lockdowns and what they have and will do for the future of our children, missed education, mental health problems and health problems that don't seem to matter anymore but are being stored up 10

TabithaTiger · 15/12/2021 16:21

I'm not really worried about being ill with Covid as I'm healthy and have the booster jab.

I am really worried about another lockdown and the impact this will have on mental health and people's livelihoods. I'm also worried about the impact on the NHS the knock on effect has on everything else.

Merlotthegreat · 15/12/2021 16:22

Boostered and had Covid earlier in the year, so worried for getting covid - 0

Worried for others getting covid - 3

Worried for restrictions in society / travel - 8

Worried for needing the NHS for myself/Dh/DCs at some point and not getting the treatment necessary - 8

BiscuitLover3679 · 15/12/2021 16:23

@brogued

Healthy people are not scared of covid anymore.
Making an assumption that most people are "healthy" (ie not overweight amongst anything else)
Yellow85 · 15/12/2021 16:23

Just to say, isn’t it amazing how our views are so drastically different to that of 2020. We’d all have been a 10 for catching it.
