Just that really. Interested in seeing, from the cohort who responds, which of us have actually contracted Covid, at this stage

I had it last week still feeling very tied, dh had it felt fine not in one symptom. Just spent his whole 10 days at home doing diy. I just felt like I had a case of the flu.

Yes in March 2021 on the very day that we went into lockdown the year previous! It was quite ironic! I got it first and it was just like a head cold with a chesty productive cough and I had a high temperature for three days straight. I didn’t feel really ill with it though and took paracetamol to keep it all at bay. I isolated from the family but a couple of days later, I felt fine and never lost my sense of smell or taste. The rest of the family got it (husband and children aged 10 & 11) and they also had mild symptoms, mainly aches and headache. They didn’t even have the cough that I had. It was was very strange how we all had it differently but we are also so lucky that we had it mild. No vaccines at that time.

Yes in December last year

ItallwentwrongwhenBowieleft · 30/11/2021 22:41

My family has been hit hard by Covid.
Me, 3 adult DD (one has had it three times - we presume it's because she had chemo couple of years ago), SIL was hospitalised with it but doing o.k now, my dear Stepdad died of it in the first wave.
None of us live with each other & didn't catch it from each other.
I was left with much worsened asthma, no improvement after a year.
DD4 had to put her Masters degree on hold while she recovered, took her 2 months to get back to normal, still gets fatigued.
She was a very fit & healthy 22yr old but was still very poorly.
It can be very nasty indeed, I do everything I can to avoid it but as I'm a teacher I fully expect to get it again at some point.

@WaterAndRichTea

I'm in Western Australia, we have done really well here.

SunscreenCentral · 30/11/2021 23:44

No, and nobody in our house has had it to the best of our knowledge (58, 51, 20, 13) all fully vaccinated

IsabelleSE19 · 30/11/2021 23:49

Yes, a few weeks ago, both DC too. DH didn't. I wasn't super ill, because vaxxed, but it wiped me out for a week or so.

polkadotpjs · 01/12/2021 06:26

I wonder about last March. Awful throat and cough and so breathless for about a week. Currently got small DS with it and teen had it three weeks ago. I'm clear on my PCR. I find the thread interesting thank you. I'm glad all those who were poorly are still here.

frenchiemummy92 · 01/12/2021 07:52

No only my DP has last October. Me & our two DDs didn't catch it and my niece has had it recently but again her parents didn't catch it.

Libmama · 01/12/2021 12:32

Me and the two kids have it now. DP is still testing negative.

spiderlight · 01/12/2021 12:38

Yes, just getting over it now. My partner and teenager had it at the same time, although teen was completely asymptomatic apart from feeling vaguely nauseous for a couple of hours right at the start.

CointreauVersial · 01/12/2021 13:18

No, not had it. Nor has DH, my DPs and two of my three DCs. DD1 came back from uni with Covid in July, and isolated at home, but none of us caught it.

Even though I've been living a pretty normal life - going to work, shopping, restaurants etc.

I'm sure it will get me eventually.
