Just that really. Interested in seeing, from the cohort who responds, which of us have actually contracted Covid, at this stage

OP posts:
AnneLovesGilbert · 29/11/2021 19:02

No.

crazycatgal · 29/11/2021 19:02

Yes, had it a couple of weeks ago.

FawnFrenchieMum · 29/11/2021 19:03

I don’t know, we think DH had it in March 2020 the week before lockdown. He was very poorly, almost three weeks off work (unheard of for him), two lots of steroids and two lots of anti-b’s but no testing back then.
Neither me nor the kids were poorly at that time.

None of us have ever tested positive since despite being close contacts lots and lots of times since (eg had dinner for my birthday with my family, BIL, niece, parents all tested positive over the following days. DD slept at my mums in the same room the night before she tested positive). All of the kids best friends have had it. It’s done the rounds in my office several times.

I’m CEV so still nervous of catching it.

DD’s school have been selected for anti-body testing so I’ll be interested to see if she has anti-bodies.

joysmoy66 · 29/11/2021 19:07

Yes last month. 4 out of 5 of us had it and I was very poorly despite being double vaccinated.

HailAdrian · 29/11/2021 19:11

Yeah, would never have suspected it if not for the loss of taste/smell.

Sparkle275 · 29/11/2021 19:11

I haven't had it yet but DD has just tested positive on lateral flow today and is feeling rubbish, just awaiting PCR results. Bracing myself for the rest of us to possibly catch it but I hope not.

Cheermonger · 29/11/2021 19:12

Yes three weeks ago

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 29/11/2021 19:13

Yes

Campervan69 · 29/11/2021 19:13

Yes both dh and I had it in January. Both pretty poorly for a couple of weeks. Kids went feral as schools closed. Neither of us could even get out of bed. Never felt so lonely in my life.

Shergill15 · 29/11/2021 19:14

Not as far as I know. Me and DD tested last week as we had dreadful coughs etc and school wouldn't have her in without a PCR. Both negative though so think its just this dreadful cold that's been going round.

sunnycloudyrainy · 29/11/2021 19:18

No, not as far as I know

reallysaying · 29/11/2021 19:23

We all had it in 2020 - before testing but if we had the same symptoms now, would definitely be thought of as having it.

My OH has tested positive again now. I'm fully expecting to get it as we have spent so much time close together.

I'm CEV. It took me ages to recover in 2020.

Mistymountain · 29/11/2021 19:27

No I haven't had it, unless it was symptomless. The only people I know who have had it, both caught it in April 2020. I seem to be living in a covid free bubble, and I've been fully out and about and everything!

Rupertpenrysmistress · 29/11/2021 19:29

Not that I know, nor my vulnerable DH or DC 12 & 14. I am a frontline nurse so have literally been up close and personal with covid patients, myself and a few colleagues wonder how we have not had it, nearly everyone I know at work has had it.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 29/11/2021 19:29

Yes, caught it at work in August, single jabbed at the time. 8yo DS caught it off me too.

Icewiththat · 29/11/2021 19:30

No - DH had it in august but we all managed to stay clear. It’s dubious of DC had it in September when the false test fiasco went on…

Goodmorninglights · 29/11/2021 19:32

Yes, a few weeks ago. Not nice and I’m still shattered.

SweetPetrichor · 29/11/2021 19:37

Not yet, and neither has my DP but we were working from home (I still am and DP has been back in the office for a few months now) and we’re not big into going places so we’re not around many people other than in the grocery shops!

Mantlemoose · 29/11/2021 19:39

Not officially - possibly December 2019 but nope nothing.

GrumpyTerrier · 29/11/2021 19:42

Yes-- dodged it for almost 2 years but tested positive on the 7th Nov. Didn't get over it very well, even once my quarantine time had passed. Took a few days off sick and just slept, now finally feeling more normal.

Cherrydown · 29/11/2021 19:42

Yes in October, double jabbed and the poorliest I have ever been

waterlego · 29/11/2021 19:44

Yes, I had it in between Xmas and NY last year. Pre-jabs, very mild. I feel lucky as those who’ve had it recently (feels like almost everyone I know!) have been hit harder. This current variant seems worse than the one I had.

Blupblup · 29/11/2021 19:47

Yes, have it currently and feel pretty awful. 3 out of a household of 5 have had it in the last 2/3 months. The majority of the kids friends at school also seem to have had it since September.

TooBigForMyBoots · 29/11/2021 19:50

Yes.

waterlego · 29/11/2021 19:51

Sending Flowers to those currently suffering with it, or still recovering.
