Just that really. Interested in seeing, from the cohort who responds, which of us have actually contracted Covid, at this stage

DD (12) and I have it at the moment. DD is asymptomatic, I’ve been rough as hell but I’m finally on the mend. Day 7 here. The other 3 adults in the house, including DH who shared a bed etc with me for the first couple of days are all negative.

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHaands · 30/11/2021 09:39

@ceeveebee

Got it right now, on day 3. DC had it a few weeks back, DH currently negative but wouldn’t be surprised if that changes as I haven’t really been isolating within the house (think he’d rather catch covid than to cook for us all…)
@ceeveebee I carried on sleeping in a bed with DH (albeit a king size one and I didn't touch him) and he didn't get it.

No not that I know of. Last year I only personally knew two people who caught it, the last few months it’d be easier to count people I know who haven’t.

TheElvishQueen · 30/11/2021 18:59

I know two people personally who have had it. That’s all.

MrsM36 · 30/11/2021 19:06

Yes almost exactly a year ago... Myself & our two oldest daughters got off very lightly... cold symptoms for them & a banging headache for me which paracetamol/ibuprofen did not touch... once that lifted I have genuinely had worse colds. Hubby on the other hand ended up being admitted to our local hospital on day 5 & subsequently bluelighted to another local-ish hospital, where he spent 10 days in ICU on CPAP due to having Covid related Pneumonia. I was back running by January 2021, hubby however is still struggling to walk up a flight of stairs thanks to the scarring left on his lungs.

GinandGobbledegook · 30/11/2021 19:07

I've got it now and I'm feeling very sorry for myself. Walking to the kitchen is like running a marathon 😔 😔 😔
I'm double jabbed so I dread to think how I'd feel without the jabs.

Rainydays55 · 30/11/2021 19:39

Yes tested positive 4 weeks ago

Thewiseoneincognito · 30/11/2021 19:40

Yes, mild but still absolutely vile and can’t imagine how horrid it must be to have it worse than that or be at risk of suffering badly from it.

Also lost 3 family members to it too.

TheCreamCaker · 30/11/2021 19:42

I had Covid in July (I'd had one jab then) and was put on a ventilator, where I then got Pneumonia. I woke up 2 weeks later, unable to move, speak or swallow - I'd had a stroke. Spent 6 weeks in Hospital (miles away from my home town), had Physiotherapy, lots of mobility aids at home.

Now - no aids around the house, am fully recovered from the stroke, passed a driving ability course last week, so I'm driving again. To look at me, nobody would ever know I'd been so ill.

softandsnug · 30/11/2021 21:50

No, none of my extended family have either. Everyone in the house wfh, though DD goes to nursery, we use public transport and spend a lot of leisure time indoors and in busy places. I don't test regularly though so may have had it completely asymptomatically.

WhiskersPete · 30/11/2021 21:54

I have it now. Feel OK, just a bit run down like a cold with mega runny nose and no sense of smell at all!

ufucoffee · 30/11/2021 22:11

No. Neither has my OH. Only one of my relatives has had it. They had very mild symptoms.

addictedtotheflats · 30/11/2021 22:16

Yes about 4 months ago. I dodged 3 house hold cases and succumbed after both jabs and when the country opened up. It was a mild case and I recovered in a few days

Tatum1234 · 30/11/2021 22:23

Yes month and all four of my kids too. DH avoided it.

Tatum1234 · 30/11/2021 22:23
  • last month that should be.
AG1981 · 30/11/2021 22:24

No, but both kids did

Iamanicepersonreally · 30/11/2021 22:24

No

Luzina · 30/11/2021 22:25

Yes, in early November. I was exhausted and ended up in bed for a week. I had both vaccinations plus booster. I dread to think how ill I would have been without those

Yes. All four of us have it now. DH and I doubled jabbed I've the summer. Really annoyed. No taste and smell and very run down.

CimCardashian · 30/11/2021 22:28

No

itsmschanandlerbong · 30/11/2021 22:30

How do we know though that without the jabs your immune system might have thrown it off more efficiently? We are all being sold this idea that without the jabs we will die. Perhaps the jabs are actually making our bodies less resilient , not more resilient? No one REALLY knows, do they?
Lizzy1980 · 30/11/2021 22:33

@ParkheadParadise

Yes, In October. Still have breathlessness now and no taste or smell.
I had it in July and still no sense of smell at all. Can't walk upstairs without getting breathless, I've had enough to be honest
gin32 · 30/11/2021 22:34

Yes. First wave.
