Just that really. Interested in seeing, from the cohort who responds, which of us have actually contracted Covid, at this stage

OP posts:
middleager · 29/11/2021 20:37

Oh and I caught it three months after my second vaccine.

Dangermouse80 · 29/11/2021 20:37

Yes twice. Just chest pains.

ablutiions · 29/11/2021 20:39

Yes, twice. Confused

FrasierCraneDay · 29/11/2021 20:39

We had it a couple of weeks ago, I felt rough for one day, both kids were absolutely fine. The worst part of the damn virus in this house was dealing with the test and trace idiots.

herecomesthsun · 29/11/2021 20:42

I don't actually know for sure, as I was in a clinical role back in March 2020 and had a respiratory infection at one point (before testing was available).

Inastatus · 29/11/2021 20:42

Yes, myself, DH and DS had it in September. DS not yet vaccinated, me and DH double jabbed - all mild symptoms. DD didn’t get it.

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 29/11/2021 20:42

Yes - I had delta in May (we were an early hotspot - PHE phoned and confirmed it was delta and asked lots of questions about symptoms). I wouldn’t have known without a PCR test - my symptoms were synonymous with hay fever. No headache/ cough/ temperature/ loss of taste or smell.

MyComputerGetsSadWithoutMe · 29/11/2021 20:45

Yes in November last year. We all had it, DP was most ill but none of us were the most ill we've ever been.

my8thMNusername · 29/11/2021 20:48

Yup October 2020. Worst symptom was loss of smell (returned 10 days later but husband still struggles with his Sad)

Thought I had it again last week after a faint positive LFT result (after the recommended 30 min test time). A PCR 2 hours later brought a negative result but then some weird symptoms started the next day - similar to last time.

Then got another positive line on a LFT two days after that, I was convinced it was covid but another PCR straight after that also came back negative (in this time I did lots more LFTs which were negative).

Another PCR taken last night has brought another negative PCR so I am finally accepting it's not covid again!

Moral of the story - don't flip out if you get a faint positive LFT as they aren't as reliable as I thought.

Fairunibutterfly · 29/11/2021 20:50

Not as far as we know. Me, dh, fil, mil, my mum, my bro, dc, bil, ail and nephew have not had it.

Dh had a really bad fever and cough late Dec19/Jan20 so we wonder if we have it from there.

We all don’t go out much other than shopping/outdoor places and only dh and bil go to the office.

Wandamakesporridge · 29/11/2021 20:52

Yes three weeks ago - why do you ask?

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 29/11/2021 20:53

Yes this time last year

Goinghome20 · 29/11/2021 20:53

Yes in August.
Dh and ds2 in October. Ds1 not had it yet that we know of...

FenceSplinters · 29/11/2021 20:56

Yes we all had it a year ago.

Bellafrenum · 29/11/2021 21:01

Yes, end of 2020

tinkletinklelittlestar · 29/11/2021 21:12

Yes about two weeks now and I'm double jabbed. So fucking tired doing anything so no working for me. So many headaches. No taste or smell yet. A day of the shits (deeply unpleasant). Snappy at kids. Also, a really heavy painful period to cap it off. Still grumpy at not being able to go out.

Still, very grateful to be double jabbed and not be hospitalised like others I know; and I have not passed it onto my family as far as I know (many many negative tests lateral flow and PCR)

QuinceLady · 29/11/2021 21:14

No

AllaboutMary · 29/11/2021 21:17

No - none of the 4 of us have. Feels like we're on borrowed time tbh as families are being picked off one by one around us and there are outbreaks in dcs schools.

Nillynally · 29/11/2021 21:20

Yes twice. Once at xmas, once now. Sucks.

DevonsFinest · 29/11/2021 21:22

Yes end of July between jabs. Lost smell and taste and felt like I had flu.

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 29/11/2021 21:26

Yes. The whole family went down with it in January/February. Caught it from the GP
surgery when I took toddler in for a blood test.

PuzzledObserver · 29/11/2021 22:13

Yes, tested positive on New Year’s Eve. DH had had his first jab a couple of days before, and must have been positive but didn’t know it.

fluffythedragonslayer · 29/11/2021 22:18

Yes in March 2020 (I did an antibody test in July which confirmed it)

Turquoisesea · 29/11/2021 22:21

Yes in October as did DH and DCs.

Norugratsatall · 29/11/2021 22:22

Yes. March 2020. Never confirmed obvs. But I suffered from Long Covid for 19 months. Turned a corner a month ago and feel quite well currently apart from a slightly 'burning' right lung! But those 19 months were hell, pure hell. My initial infection was very mild though, ive had much worse colds.
