Anyone else fancy a grouch at having Covid? I’m a few days in, feeling like crap and fed up with the world in general.

Tea and sympathy to anyone in a similar position?

Day 5 here. Have been out of bed for 2.5 hours but feel so nauseous I'm heading back there. I slept all day yesterday but just can't today. I'm feeling very weepy today which isn't like me at all.

DH has also tested positive today but he says at the moment it just feels like a bad hangover

I feel very guilty. I'm day 4 after testing positive - I don't have any symptoms at all - YET. I had a mild cold 5 days before my positive, but had a negative test with that. Perhaps it was incubating and the cold was covid. Anyway, the cold has gone and I have nothing else. No-one else in my house has tested positive either - YET!

I also haven't had any calls from T&T. Had a few texts, but no calls. So strange.

Sorry everyone!! Feel better soon

@frenchyq sorry to hear you're still not well. Can I ask - have you left the house yet? My 10 days are up on Saturday. I know I won't be up for resuming normal activity but would like a walk in the park! Assume we're not contagious even if we still feel crap?

I went for a walk on Tuesday and popped to Tesco yesterday. I felt fine when I went out but exhausted afterwards. So I don't know whether how I feel today is just cause I over did it yesterday and the day before.

@Kazziek did you fill in the online form? I haven't had any calls either, but assumed that was because I'd told them everything online

I think it's ok to leave as long as you don't have a temperature?

Report

@sofakingcool I did fill in the endless online form. Perhaps they felt that was enough.

I've since read PPs descriptions of sinusitis, which I had last week between my negative and positive tests. I wonder if that was actually the start of it, cos that would fit in with my exposure

Yeah I think it probably was. DH and DS(18) both have it too and neither have had a call.

DS2 (13) had it a few weeks ago and I received a call about him but no option to fill in an online form, wonder if it's an under 18 thing?

I haven't had a temperature at all tbh. Today is the first day I feel short of breath, like I can't get a full one

newbaby I don't know if it's just that we feel so poorly and vulnerable? I just want a hug and no one will come near me! I'm also fretting about getting ready for Christmas and work.

Day 7 - chest is kicking in now with incessant coughing and obligatory wetting myself or being sick. Woke with a mild temp of 38 - worth ringing the doctors?

I feel really weepy too, I think I just feel so overwhelmed. It's weird having the thing that has been such a huge part of our lives over the last couple of years?!
There's part of me that's felt very stressed, and part of me relieved that I'm ok.

Also stressed as half of the work team is down with it, and the pressure that puts on us to make sure we are back in work straight after isolation

I mean, no harm in calling the drs they probably won't need to see you, but they might give you some advice xx

Checking in. Sorry you're all poorly.

End of Day 2 here. Still no PCR result but LFTs very positive. Mild cold symptoms so far nothing too horrific. What's the worst day ?! Am I in for a shock or maybe I'll get away lightly. Triple vaxed but booster only 5 days before symptoms so unlikely to have helped much.

@Aunty my first three days were the worst, so fingers crossed you have a mild case and that booster is also helping

I am on day 8 today, I've had a few days of wfh (not full days, just a few Teams meetings, a couple of hours of emails) and found myself totally wiped. I had to have a little nap between meetings on thursday.

I continue to have a persistent cough. No shortness of breath but a bit of a 'burny lung' feeling. I've been doing a bit more in the house, made dinner from scratch yesterday, put up the Christmas decs. DD's PCR came back negative, and DH is out of isolation today so I have been gradually reclaiming a bit more of the house. I was super paranoid about sanitizing everything, keeping to separate rooms etc when my dh first had symptoms but by my day 7 I really feel if dd hasnt got it now, she isnt going to.

Interesting the experience of Test and Trace across the Moaners thread. We filled in all the forms and haven't had a single call from T&T

I'm on day 8 today but the cough didn't really kick in until day 4. I'm double jabbed and was due my booster yesterday.

I'm on day 12. Still don't feel great but certainly so much better. Taste and smell not fully returned. Although part of me fancies a Saturday night glass of wine I don't think I will be able to stomach one...unusual...! Hope you all feel better soon.

I’m on Day 3 and currently just have cold symptoms and an occasional coughing episode.

Trying not to pass it on to CV DH and DD4 so wearing a mask and opening windows etc but it’s tough.

Still waiting for PCR result but it’ll be a miracle if it’s negative after my blazing LTFs.

I’m 35 weeks pregnant and really frightened it will start to affect my breathing, just crossing my fingers and taking a day at a time.
