Secondary still to be tested in Sept, twice in school initially then twice weekly at home (in theory!). To be reviewed end of September.

boys3 · 08/08/2021 16:58

Today's spec date graphic for England.

Yesterday (day-1) slightly down on the figure for last Saturday as reported last Sunday. As a slight caveat though 19% of cases reported today had yesterday as a specimen date as compared with 22% last week.

Thursday and Friday both around 10% up on the equivalents last week.

So data is consistent with a return to -currently - slow growth in cases?

@cantkeepawayforever

So data is consistent with a return to -currently - slow growth in cases?
slow growth at the overall England level but variation by region - some falling; slightly higher growth in the 7 day rate in the East Midlands.

equally variation within regions. This is the East Midlands, as a region 8.4% increase; mixed picture at council level within the region.

here both my DC's secondary schools are getting them in just before term starts for LFT's. Hopefully most pupils will take up the offer.

Regulus · 09/08/2021 09:04

Does anyone have a link to blood group and bad reactions to vaccine. I still can not get MN search to work for me.

Here. I posted a link on it that seemed to discredit previous research in suggesting no impact of blood type on covid illness. Not sure there's anything specific for vaccines.

One nurse in hospital yesterday said they really need to start rolling out boosters of AZ and get young people vacced : she wasn't hiding her views. I was too ill to probe her for info for the data thread!
