I understand why people are against vaccine passports, but a lot of those most vocal against it are the usual crowd who have been anti-lockdown and anti-mask throughout (and often anti-vaccine). They won't accept vaccine passports but will be the first to complain if and when nightclubs are forced to close again due to the impact of the virus which without vaccines would already be a lot worse with the Delta variant.

They can't always have it both ways.

If I ‘don’t understand’ something I make an effort to research it myself and don’t rely on anonymous posting forums. Try it.

@sleepwouldbenice Dont mind Pfizer or Moderna. But the latter is the one this clinic is offering.

Excellent article @MercyBooth it does indeed nail it.

From a bigger picture perspective may I add this one:

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/jul/27/spying-pegasus-project-states-arundhati-roy

This goes aone way to articulating how some of us feel about digital ID and surveillance issues. All of which was covered in other threads at some length and said threads included alot of links to articles and even government sites where the increasing use of technology could easily become an oppressive tool. We can't put the genie back in the bottle, but we should keep an eye on the direction of progress and it's possible uses / abuses.

Vaccine passports, with their emotional leverage potential feel like a step in a direction we should be very sure we want to take.

Enid Spyton talks a lot of sense. I will save her posts to voice my thoughts more eloquently. Thank you

We've got paper vaccine certificates from calling 119. Could use those if you don't want the app.
