I am going to keep wearing my mask.

EmRata95 · 19/07/2021 06:42

Me! I binned my mask last night Grin good riddance.

Coldilox · 19/07/2021 06:43

I’m wearing mine. Rates are high and I don’t want to inadvertently spread it to someone.

KatherineOfGaunt · 19/07/2021 06:43

I'll still be wearing one in shops and at work (don't use public transport but if I did I'd wear one there too).

Coldilox · 19/07/2021 06:43

No way would I get on public transport without one.

joystir59 · 19/07/2021 06:44

Madness not wearing one on public transport imo

girlmom21 · 19/07/2021 06:45

I'll continue to wear one in enclosed spaces like trains.
Some companies are still insisting on them to check before you travel.

LimeRedBanana · 19/07/2021 06:45

I’m not in the UK and we don’t have COVID here.

But I’m still wearing my mask on public transport.

I haven’t had a cold since before we had our brief lockdown way back in early 2020, and I don’t think it’s any coincidence.

My ears block up for weeks on end with every cold I get and I can’t hear, so colds do affect me disproportionately.

casualnamechange · 19/07/2021 06:45

I’m only wearing one because I feel like it’ll reassure others, I guess. I’ll take it off on the bus if there’s no one nearby, though.

Trouvaille · 19/07/2021 06:45

Still wearing - rates are too high and using common sense rather than relying on some arbitrary date.

HighHighHopes · 19/07/2021 06:45

Me! I'm off out shopping, mask free. Yay!

MrsSkylerWhite · 19/07/2021 06:45

It's in the bin😁😁

KeyWorker · 19/07/2021 06:46

Freedom to catch Coronavirus…

I’ll be sticking with a mask indoors in public I think. Shopping, public transport ect. I do think I’ll drop the mask for outdoor stuff tho, school yard I won’t bother now, we’re spread over a biggish yard and also moving around outdoor beer gardens ect, no need now I don’t think.

ItsVousNotMoi · 19/07/2021 06:46

You can't be fined now though can you?

Banani · 19/07/2021 06:47

Well you don’t have to so you’re not unreasonable on that front.

I’ll be wearing mine. It does no harm to me or others around me. Offers me and others some protection and helps others to feel safer and more comfortable, particularly those who work in public transport and retail who according to research would rather customers continued to wear masks. If I can do something that makes others feel better without any detriment to me why wouldn’t I?

Frittataz · 19/07/2021 06:47

Me! I have a hospital appointment with my dd on Friday so I will wear one then as it’s appropriate but that’s it.

Shelovesamystery · 19/07/2021 06:47

First mask free shift at work today Grin
Thank god, wearing one is horrible when doing quite a physical job in this heat.

Youarestillintherunning · 19/07/2021 06:48

It doesn't make any difference to my life, they don't particularly bother me so I'll probably carry on wearing mine until rates are lower or something 🤷‍♀️

Whiskycav · 19/07/2021 06:48

If I was getting public transport I would still wear one and would hope other people do. Most people can't afford time off work if they get sick and can't work.

While we may want a wave over in summer, I have no interest in spreading it to other people an impacting their lives. While I don't find them comfortable, I don't really mind wearing them. So feelsike a no brainer to me

Jessicabrassica · 19/07/2021 06:49

I will wear a mask. I don't want another lock down. Masks reduce spread. I don't particularly want covid. I really don't want long covid and I really really dont want to pass it on.

Wearing a mask seems like a small price to pay for things to remain open. But if you are pro-lockdown, crack on.

SuckItUpDave · 19/07/2021 06:49

I'm wearing mine. More people I know have tested positive. I'm going out but definitely wearing it
I think it's foolish not to

firstevernamechange · 19/07/2021 06:50

Me, but then I didn't wear one all year (excempt before you call for my blood).

TooBored1 · 19/07/2021 06:50

On trains, buses and busy shops - you bet I'll carry on wearing mine.

Lots of people nervous about the rocketing rates so it seems crazy not to.

ItsVousNotMoi · 19/07/2021 06:51

I guess I'm being a bit stupid not to wear one in certain places. It's just been so hot and unbearable
