I loath any kind of shopping and do most online and don't use public transport so don't wear a mask much anyway but will wear one on the rare occasion I'm in an enclosed space with lots of people or at medical appointments as a courtesy to others.

RosesandPumpkins · 12/07/2021 18:31

Absolutely not. I’m so excited.

superblondie28 · 12/07/2021 18:32

I use the bus to work once a day. A 30 min journey. Whether I use a mask will be decided on the day by myself based how busy and ventilated the bus is. If its baking hot in there, mostly like not. If its winter and cold, mostly likely will. I am double jabbed and healthy 😁

Monkeytennis97 · 12/07/2021 18:33

@TeddingtonTrashbag of course. Covid is going to be everywhere in schools from September with the unvaccinated population and no mitigations.

Againstmachine · 12/07/2021 18:39

Patrick Vallance had been pictured at a full Wimbledon without a mask so even he doesn't think crowded places are a danger.

Open air.. he does talk about importance of ventilation though
RedRiverShore · 12/07/2021 18:41

No

It’s your decision. I can’t understand why some people get so upset about what others do.

MercyBooth · 12/07/2021 18:42

@superblondie28 Our local bus has the heaters on in JULY. I was told they cant be turned off.

Againstmachine · 12/07/2021 18:42

Is a crowded environment though.

Bookworm65 · 12/07/2021 18:42

Yes - Year 6 teacher.

Monkeytennis97 · 12/07/2021 18:43

@Againstmachine true.

MercyBooth · 12/07/2021 18:43

Open air

Like school playgrounds.

TeddingtonTrashbag · 12/07/2021 18:43

the unvaccinated population
Yawn.
This again
The ‘unvaccinated population’ is diminishingly small and by September will be negligible and those who will haven’t are the demographic that won’t even show symptoms.
So, sure, be a Drama llama and keep propagating doom and gloom.
The rest of us will just quietly get on with real life and - gasp-not drop dead in our tracks…

simbobs · 12/07/2021 18:44

Yes in any busy setting.

WhereYouLeftIt · 12/07/2021 18:44

I came across this recently, a part of Sikh philosophy, in a discussion on masks -

"Fear none, frighten none"

So yes, if I think my wearing a mask will make the people around me feel more at ease, then I will wear a mask. I am fortunate that I will only be around other people occasionally, so I don't see it as a big thing for me. I acknowledge that this is not the case for other people.

Monkeytennis97 · 12/07/2021 18:44

@TeddingtonTrashbag 'the unvaccinated population' are the kids!!! About 10 million of them.

Florelei · 12/07/2021 18:46

How does it affect you what the poster does? Why are you bothered enough to insult them by calling them a drama llama?
Ginandfantalemon · 12/07/2021 18:46

Another in Scotland and I cant wait til they go. Haven't been in a shop or restaurant for a year now. I want my life back.

southeastdweller · 12/07/2021 18:47

Hell no.

Actually seeing people in masks reminds me how shit life has been. They make me panicky, anxious and depressed. So not everyone loves masksHmm
TheQueensCousin · 12/07/2021 18:48

Yes

TempsPerdu · 12/07/2021 18:50

No, except maybe occasionally on a crowded Tube train. Can’t wait to be able to shop mask-free as I desperately need some new clothes that fit properly but can’t face more than 10 minutes shopping in a mask.

Had to wear one for a preschool class in a horribly humid church hall today and we were all dripping with sweat by the end of the session.

motherrunner · 12/07/2021 18:50

Hmm, me thinks if @TeddingtonTrashbag was amongst hundreds of non vaccinated people in non ventilated small rooms all day they wouldn’t be so vociferous to other posters.

Monkeytennis97 · 12/07/2021 18:50

Btw I hate the bloody masks. I teach music. Haven't been able to go to my choirs or orchestras all year. Singing at school has been minimal as has instrumental playing. Covid has had a massive negative impact on secondary school music teaching everywhere.
