No in supermarkets/restaurants etc. I guess I would feel shamed into it on a packed train, but I don't tend to use public transport so this isn't an issue for me.

I'm getting pretty fed up with the incessant virtue signalling by those who want to wear masks forevermore tbh

MercyBooth · 12/07/2021 17:17

@Moonface123 The supermarket staff ive spoken to say the same. Politicians (and yes im looking at you as well Labour) and middle class posters on here wax lyrical about how its all necessary but they havent had to do the manual work of pushing pallets around and stacking shelves in one. I think Labour were way off base with this. Expect it from the Tories though

hilbil21 · 12/07/2021 17:18

I'm from Scotland but will be in England for a few days from Sunday onwards. I plan to enjoy not having it on while I'm down because as soon as I'm back up here it will be back on lol.

LouScot · 12/07/2021 17:18

Yes. I live in Scotland so will have to, but although it's not the most pleasant thing to do would do so if I lived in England too. I think it's a small price to pay for protecting others. Like some pps have mentioned, the virus isn't going anywhere next week. I understand some people are genuinely unable to, but for those who can think it's the sensible and responsible thing to do.

Viviennemary · 12/07/2021 17:18

No. I might in very crowded places. But I don't intend going to any for a while

Florelei · 12/07/2021 17:18

Well yes I will. I have no idea why the government is getting rid of the legal rules surrounding mask but still saying that we should wear them if we can.

Buzzinwithbez · 12/07/2021 17:19

No. Especially not in restaurants to walk to my seat or to the loo.

I'm more than happy to continue giving people space though.

PurpleDaisies · 12/07/2021 17:19

Yes

I've been teaching in one. It's hard work and hot and very difficult but I will carry on until they vaccinate secondary age kids.

JustFrustrated · 12/07/2021 17:20

Cannot wait for Monday.

I'll only wear it when requested - e.g. on a plane.

And again, if I have a mild Cold etc, so not too ill to be home but enough to be symptomatic I will do.

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 12/07/2021 17:21

Yes I will wear one.

MercyBooth · 12/07/2021 17:23

@Monkeytennis97 Horribly hot in classrooms but you are not pushing pallets of King Edwards around.

dilly123 · 12/07/2021 17:24

Haven't worn one for months... can't wait to see faces again!!

EssentialHummus · 12/07/2021 17:24

At work yes, to set an example because others in my team have requested we keep them, but otherwise no. I’ve battled with them from the outset and now v pregnant and have to walk outside to gulp air every 10 minutes when I wear one.

Monkeytennis97 · 12/07/2021 17:25

@MercyBooth no but I'm carrying books and resources around (including musical instruments like keyboards).

Disneyblue · 12/07/2021 17:25

Hell no.

megletthesecond · 12/07/2021 17:25

Yes. Double jabbed and healthy.
Will wear one on my days in the office and in supermarkets. Will continue to avoid restaurants and the gym.

gardeninggirl68 · 12/07/2021 17:25

no

i'm a retail manager....none of us will continue with the masks.

megletthesecond · 12/07/2021 17:27

Do we know which shops will be stopping masks so we can avoid them? I can't find a list.

MercyBooth · 12/07/2021 17:27

Classrooms are crap for ventilation too.

Againstmachine · 12/07/2021 17:27

Nope not all, waiting for the people. Who will call people who won't selfish, even though they have worn them up until then.

PurpleDaisies · 12/07/2021 17:27

Do you mean stopping preventing customers without masks coming in or staff not wearing masks?
Monkeytennis97 · 12/07/2021 17:27

@MercyBooth also I'll be in contact with a higher percentage of non vaccinated people than others who don't work in schools.

Monkeytennis97 · 12/07/2021 17:28

@MercyBooth

Classrooms are crap for ventilation too.
Very very true
CoffeeWithCheese · 12/07/2021 17:28

No - exempt anyway but I'll love to ditch the lanyard of hate.

Planning on requesting a car permit to avoid having to do public transport because of fear of the no-mask hate anyway.
