Wait for euro final to be over and Boris with lock us down again. Are you going to follow the rules if he does?

XenoBitch · 11/07/2021 22:34

Unnecessary doom-mongering. Lockdown if you want. I wont be.

I really doubt it.

It WILL happen if we get a really bad variant that skirts our vaccines - but only about a month after we really needed it Hmm

Oh believe me I won't be following the rules

No, I find ignoring the rules during the lockdown the best way to drive up cases and we're all aiming for as many deaths as possible right??

🙄

You just don't understand politics or the last year. Johnson is a libertarian and hates imposing lockdown =- that's why he (fatally) ordered lockdown too late last year. He's going to stick to freedom day and hope we learn to live with covid death like flu. Who's to know whether that works out.

Toottooot · 11/07/2021 22:39

GTF

PurpleDaisies · 11/07/2021 22:39

There’s no appetite for further lockdown.

chickenyhead · 11/07/2021 22:40

Meh

LaurieFairyCake · 11/07/2021 22:42

The Netherlands have introduced curbs because they're behind on their vaccine programme

NOTHING like here

irresistibleoverwhelm · 11/07/2021 22:43

I know an NHS consultant in lung medicine who is convinced we will be heading into another lockdown Sept/Oct time on the current case rates. Says it's likely to be "you had the summer you wanted, now look what happened " messaging.

Oh I agree...however what are we to do? Australia...Covid free country... (or so they thought) with only 77 new cases today and one death is back in full lockdown.

The Netherlands...football is over for them and new restrictions were announced 2 days ago.

they keep on dangling the carrot

I always have a hollow laugh when people say they ignore the lockdown rules.

So they was getting there haircut, going out for meals, the pub, gym, cinema, holidays and theater was they? Lovely if you could. It was all shut in England

True, but many still met others indoors.

Well I’m in Ireland, not U.K., but my neighbours were doing 3 of those things (as well as getting their nails/brows done) during our (apparently) very strict last lockdown.

The determined find a way. Shame about the tax revenue.

Who's had/having the summer they wanted though? Certainly not me, anything else I had planned this summer is likely to be cancelled.
