Anti-Vax - what is the source?

Two of my good friends have become anti- Vax

We don't discuss it (barely seen each other) but they post a lot on social media about pharmaceutical companies being evil etc

They also attend freedom marches together and post photos of them hugging strangers

I also think they're distancing themselves from the rest of the group. Making plans together and declining invitations to meet with feeble excuse. Maybe I'm just paranoid

But I find myself wondering, where are they getting this info from?

We're all 40s with busy jobs and families. Sensible, educated and (relatively) clean living people. What's gotten into them?

Where do these theories start?

I'm not anti-vaxx - I've HAD the fucking Covid jab, but I'm rapidly turning into someone incredibly uncomfortable with how the whole thing is playing out and the attempts to silence any possible discussion on it.

I also really do hate the emotional blackmail being used to try to force people into having it - and I loathe the idea that people are cheering on the idea of the state essentially forcing people to have it (or excluding them from education, health care etc) - the road that potentially leads down bloody terrifies me. I'm also not prepared, on a risk-benefit calculation based upon my own family circumstances, to risk the children having it yet.

I loathe how people like myself, with fairly well thought through valid concerns have them just belittled and shoved in with the Wakefield followers etc as "anti-vaxx loons" in an attempt to remove any dialogue about it at all.

I don't think this is strictly true

The problem is every thread about vaccines is quickly infiltrated and flooded by posters promoting views from Wakfield, Clansen et al. There is SO much misinformation being deliberately spread about the vaccines and COVID - you seem the same posters repeating the same articles, pseudoscience, buzzwords over and over again. It doesn't matter how carefully and rationally someone tries to engage with them.

It means the legitimate conversations about vaccine side effects and safety are completely overshadowed - you just need to look at the most recent one on menstrual cycle changes

I do understand you. But can’t you see the pressure and race against time to get 70% (at least) herd immunity?

Someone, somewhere has got it in for the UK. Oh, loads of nations it seems. Now the EU, as well as Russia and the Chinese communist party and god knows who else.

If the vaccines did what you’re suggesting - what the hell does the full genome of the covid virus do to people (our kids)?

Seriously I don’t even know if I’d want my daughters reproducing in this world anymore anyway!

People claiming we should have locked down like China for a ‘Zero Covid Forever Strategy’.

I was listening to a podcast by a famous footballer (can’t remember his name). He has escaped communism and nearly died. He talked about this, and stated he couldn’t understand why people were busy “romanticising” about communism.

Listen to his story, I’m sure you could find it on the web with a quick google, and tell him his brain is falling out 😂
