Does anyone else think the trial club nights at Liverpool are a mistake?

Trial club nights 6000 people no masks or social distancing. You have to have had negative lateral test before attending and are 'encouraged' not compulsory for pcr test 5 days after.
I think this is too soon to be trialling large crowds when people can't even go in their mums house indoors

That should have said people still need to be vaccinated every year with the flu jab so that it protects them.

Covid isn't going to just dissapear. Vaccines will need to be repeated.

We still have restrictions yet 6000 people can go off and mingle whilst the rest of us muppets abide to the rules

You’ve spectacularly missed the point of the trial club night

enjoythesun, it is rare for a vaccination to last forever. It's not rocket science that uses likely that everyone will need to repeat having their jabs at some point, 6 months, 12 months or whatever. Also we know there are different strains of the virus that have emerged, so the vaccine may need to be further develop to combat these strains as we go along.

I don't disagree at all. I was responding to the comment that someone said immunity doesn't last more than six months. That simply isn't true! I had a hep B vaccine almost twenty years ago. I get tested regularly and still have immunologic memory from that event all these years later.

I agree and support adapted Covid vaccines in future to help combat variants and waiting immunity in future.

Think its a good idea as we are not that far away from june and all restrictions gone as such , so its good we are running things like this and testing etc

Looking at the stats yesterday I did not see a spike in Liverpool or the surrounding area. Though I expect Liverpool was chosen given Mr Johnson's previous remarks about victim status. No way would an event in his constituency have been chosen.
