People are going to start feeling a bit silly

So many talking about how this is the great reset, how this doesn't stop until we say it does and how we are never coming out of lockdown etc.
Think they are going to feel a bit stupid over the coming weeks!

OP posts:
toocold54 · 05/04/2021 14:39

They won’t feel silly because they will say they refused to partake in lockdown which is why the government caved and stopped it.

Heyupeasterbunny · 05/04/2021 14:44

What two big projects that will ensure we stay locked down?

LemonSherbetFancies · 05/04/2021 14:44

Twitter is full of people saying lockdown is forever and they just seem so sure of themselves. Will be interesting to see how they react once all restrictions are eased.

@LemonSherbetFancies It’s strange though, I’m no conspiracy theorist, but I just don’t trust any of it, I’m too scared to believe all will be ok now and there won’t be another twist in it all, it’s a horrendous way to live. Something in my gut says something is wrong, but I’ve no idea if is the great reset...everything that’s happened has followed what they’ve said 🤷🏻‍♀️And now a vaccine passport? It seems ridiculous

savethegrannies · 05/04/2021 14:56

I don't see many people saying lockdown is forever. I do see a lot of people saying the hit to civil liberties will be long lasting. I also see those saying we will be paying for this fiasco for decades. I just wonder whether those calling for ongoing restrictions these past 12 months will be able to make the link between strangling the economy and more cuts to public services in future (including the NHS).

Again, literally nobody on my twitter has said this. It must be the people you follow I guess OP.

As for these people, it seems like you are saying what will their reaction be if they think lockdown is forever Confused and it's not? I should think they'll be delighted won't they? Like any human being

Not locked down forever but ongoing restrictions and removal of civil liberties. The 'covid vaccine certification' plan (vaccine passport) and the Moonshot 2x per week asymptomatic testing.
dividedwefall · 05/04/2021 15:03

I hope we are worried about nothing and this will all be forgotten by next year but the evidence isn't supporting that so I won't lull myself into a false sense of security like I did last summer.

LonginesPrime · 05/04/2021 15:03

Who is this "we"?

Are you saying that conspiracy theorists are claiming to be controlling lockdown?

toocold54 · 05/04/2021 15:04

Even MN has posters saying this all the time!
It’s usually from people not following the rules and encouraging everyone else to do the same as we are complying too easily.

My Twitter isn't.

Who the heck are you following? Catweazle?

Are you saying that conspiracy theorists are claiming to be controlling lockdown?

No. It means that the pandemic will stop when people stop following the rules, getting tested, complying with SD and allowing deaths for other reasons to be put down as covid deaths. I.e. if we ignore it it goes away.

I'm not saying they are right; just explaining what 'we say it does' means.

lunar1 · 05/04/2021 15:07

Nobody has any reason to feel silly for goodness sake. We all have different experiences and pressures on us throughout the pandemic.

I don't agree with either extreme opinion, I don't think we will be locked down forever nor do I think it's all over. I think we will have a steady return to normality with a few bumps and setbacks along the way.

I hate seeing people belittling other's feelings and experiences.

Jo99996 · 05/04/2021 15:08

I'm not quite sure what the original poster is on about, but next week, so called non essiential shops reopen, then in the future so will cafes etc

However it will be with a mountain of silly rules, restrictions, wear a mask, stand here, dont look that way, dont talk to that person, sign in, scan the QR code and by the end of the year show your papers and a negative test.

Thats no way normality and exactly what the so called conspriacy theorists were laughed at for predicting.

Heyupeasterbunny · 05/04/2021 15:10

@dividedwefall But how long can they possibly keep testing twice per week for and for which people and how does this benefit them?

How does the vaccine passport remove our liberties

LonginesPrime · 05/04/2021 15:11

Ohh - thank you divided...that makes way more sense than the weird conspiracy within a conspiracy I was imagining!

Heyupeasterbunny · 05/04/2021 15:11

@dividedwefall I’m not disagreeing with you btw, I just need to understand it all

toocold54 · 05/04/2021 15:11

Wearing masks and having covid tests are hardly silly rules. It is either than of being in lockdown for even longer and I know which one I’d take. I’ll still laugh at the conspiracy theorists.

VettiyaIruken · 05/04/2021 15:14

I would think it's more likely they'll be relieved.
Being pessimistic about a situation isn't the same thing as enjoying it.

LemonSherbetFancies · 05/04/2021 15:16

There are people on twitter calling the rest of us fools, saying we will never get back to normal and there is all part of a plan.
Just because some of you haven't seen it, doesn't mean these views do not exist. Hmm

OP posts:
VettiyaIruken · 05/04/2021 15:18

Oh, you mean the conspiracy nutjobs. That's different. Normal people will be relieved, the tin foil hat club will carry on as they are.

Youngatheart00 · 05/04/2021 15:18

What is ‘the plan’ then? 🤔

Steptoeshorse1965 · 05/04/2021 15:22

Who truly knows what is going on? None of us, fact. We only have what we are being told and what is being trotted out to us, by people whose motives and intentions are suspect to say the least, government, big pharma, big business and the rest of the shysters who have been sticking it to us all these many years.

No world wars for years, population explosion worldwide, so much more going on, origin of the virus still largely unknown by the man in the street, I ask again-Who REALLY knows what is going on or why. I don't find any hypothesis too far fetched just now.

daisiesinmay · 05/04/2021 15:23

Anything could exist on twitter couldn't it. Literally anyone could say anything. It's hardly a mainstream view, what you're saying OP and I've not heard it.

Steptoeshorse1965 · 05/04/2021 15:24

@VettiyaIruken

Oh, you mean the conspiracy nutjobs. That's different. Normal people will be relieved, the tin foil hat club will carry on as they are.
Because you clearly know better than all the rest? Opinion one thing, knowledge so much different. Surprising how many nutjobs as you term them , have been proved right over time.
