Some rather good points raised in the article to be fair

@Workingfromhomeishell

I went to the pub this week. It was great. You forget the simple joys of socialising.

Yes, you're quite right. The virus that gave us 150,000 unnecessary British deaths has gone away now.

All this talk is just "Project Fear" because no more British people are going to get ill go to hospital and die of covid.

50,000 of us died in January and February 2021 but that has just spontaneously...stopped.

They're running another consultation for evidence "to consider potential ethical, legal and operational issues and the efficacy and appropriateness of a certificate system". Please if you're from a legal background or other relevant background, do send in to stop this madness.

I’m from a legal background and myself and many more like me have been sending evidence which shows that vaccine passports are not ethical, discriminatory are currently illegal along with numerous other conflicts however, it seems like the government are determined to ignore this and press ahead. They will likely do this under the disguise of them being ‘temporary’ until covid is under control however it is very unlikely that they will they temporary particularly if they are in a digital format.

I just never imagined we’d be facing this in our lifetime. The deadline for this latest consultation is in May so there’s still time but it certainly seems as though it’s already decided and they’re just ticking boxes now. I feel so hopeless for the world my kids are growing into Sad

reformedcharacters · 16/04/2021 14:37

I hear you lightsout I told a friend yesterday that if I had known this was what the world would become I would not have had children. All mine are young adults now and I’m really worried for them.

Absolutely. I've had my hair done, my nails and brows done. Our walking and talking group has started up again and we've been out for a pub lunch - its bloody great to feel like some sort of normality coming back

Its time we all start being cautiously optimistic - negative nellies can stay home if they chose to

BonnieDundee · 17/04/2021 11:41

I am SO looking forward to having my hair and nails done. It sounds so trivial but I've really missed it Sad

MercyBooth · 17/04/2021 19:08

@BonnieDundee I feel SO much better since i had my hair done. And have stopped buying junk food. How long till your appointment(s)

Its not trivial at all. After the the last year anything that makes us smile is welcome

Ive had my hair cut and coloured, nails done and finally got a bikini wax (good job I'm single lol) and restarted our walk and talk group and I feel amazing

These small things make such a huge difference

BonnieDundee · 17/04/2021 21:00

@MercyBooth not till mid May but I'm counting the days.

Glad you are pleased with your hair, it makes such a difference to how you feel

Thank you @SamW98 we do need our things that make us happy
