I posted this on the Telegraph Fear thread, so am popping it in here as this is fast becoming my info dump cache
"So, with regards to a timeline as I mentioned before, it seems some commentators have been doing the heavy lifting and I have found and read the following which may be of interest.
ian-js.medium.com/a-national-scandal-a-timeline-of-the-uk-governments-response-to-the-coronavirus-crisis-b608682cdbe
Be warned it's a very very long read.
Interestingly it starts with an overview of pandemic preparedness between 2010 and 2019, which I found helpful for context.
It was last updated on March 27th so nothing about the vaccine passports.
It's from a writer called Ian Sinclair who writes for a publication called By-line times which is based on the idea of fearless investigative journalism covering things not easily found in the mainstream media - I shall be looking further in a minute after I've uncrossed my eyes from everything else I've read.
I've tried to do a bit of due diligence with regards to bias or ulterior motives, having been burned a bit by Spiked on-line, but can't find much other than one comment on an article about By-line by another site where someone accuses them of just picking on all the negative stuff aka the stuff that the MSM ignores / buries IMO grin
bylinetimes.com/about/
The timeline I have posted basically goes through the whole pandemic in the UK quoting salient points from media across the board on a date by date basis, and as I speed read my way through it, I realised how much I have forgotten since those first weeks when we were all wondering WTF this new virus was, and then all the subsequent kerfuffles as it became clearer and clearer the incompetence at play.
While I agree the whole thing seemed to come out of left field at th beginning, and one may have had a smidge of sympathy for the government as they rushed to deal with it, well, this timeline illustrates that actually they didn't - there was more arrogance at play from the top brass which really did contribute to the situation escalating to the point where we lost control very quickly than looking back, can be excused.
Every flip flop, confusion, mixed message and obfuscation can clearly be seen all in one place.
Fear was indeed the only tool they had in their toybox once the genie was out of the bottle, plus the undercurrent of placing the onus on the populous to be responsible rather than looking too hard at the poor beleagured gubmint.
I'm looking forward to see what this publication has to say about vaccine passports etc.
What is clear to me, is that this government has blood on it's hands in spades."
