Yep The NHS we all locked down to save.

I have a few concerts that have been postponed, if it looks like they will need a vaccine passport, I shall try to get a refund or sell my tickets. I have had my jab but don't agree with this at all, when non essential retail needs it I shan't use those shops either, I have managed perfectly well without those shops this past year. I won't be putting that test and trace app on my phone either.

Ditto. I've actually recently purchased tickets to a couple of events as well for later in the summer. If the goalposts have now moved and we have to have a vaccine passport, I will be asking for a refund.

Like you I have had the first jab but I am absolutely against this control of our lives being imposed upon us. Its a slippery slope and if anyone believes the 'its only for a year' narrative then they need to give their head a wobble.

AcornAutumn · 04/04/2021 11:34

I'm hoping that ticket holders will ask for refunds etc

The "get back to what you love" narrative needs to fail.

dividedwefall · 04/04/2021 11:37

I am so proud of all of you that have had the vaccine but will boycott the passports.

YogaLite · 04/04/2021 12:02

And I am wondering which mate of BoJo's will be given covid passport deal...

Nappyvalley15 · 04/04/2021 12:12

Divided
Exactly. We did what was asked and still the goalposts keep moving.

bumbleymummy · 04/04/2021 12:24

Glad to see others standing up against the passports.

With regard to Andrew Bud:

Now this is from November 2019, so obviously a massive co-incidence as it is just before Covid.

This is great.

If the businesses refuse to take part in even the initial trial for big events then it can't get off the ground. I am pleased to hear about the backlash although sad for the businesses that are trying to survive and are, like us, being abused by the government.

Relationship between government and Iproov is longer it seems......

The system would use vaccination status, a recent negative Covid test result or “natural immunity” – having tested positive in the previous six months.

So if you get one of the infamous false positives you get a pass for 6 months??? Absolutely bonkers.

You could find a fruit that tests positive for Covid and submit it as your own results.

Aha!

"Mvine brings to the partnership its cyber secure collaboration portal and identity management technology. iProov brings biometric identity authentication technology that delivers Genuine Presence Assurance ensuring that an individual is the right person, a real person, and authenticating right now.

The two companies will collaborate immediately on a development project called ‘COVID-19 test status digital passport, with privacy protection for adults and children’ which in two months will deliver a fully working demonstrator featuring the companies’ respective technologies being put to use in an entirely new way to improve public health and citizen privacy.

Mvine is developing this solution with funding from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), won in a highly competitive call to rapidly develop solutions to the COVID-19 crisis. The Phase 1 demonstrator for antibody test results will be completed by 31 July 2020."

So this one is another marathon read at 58 pages but it seems very thorough, with citations at the end exploring possible legal and human rights issue as framed by current law including ECHR.

bigbrotherwatch.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Access-Denied-Big-Brother-Watch.pdf

Trying to maintain due diligence, I could only find one claim that BigBrotherWatch had previously provided inaccurate information, with regards to costs to councils of CCTV, in 2011. Which could have just been a case of errors, and the organisation claimed that councils had given wrong information, so bit of a grey area. If anyone else knows of any reason they are a less than credible source, do hit me up.

However, the depth and range of the "vaccine / negative test" stuff, including looking at why and how it could be implemented seems very legit. The analysis of the companies involved in the tech research is also quite thorough.

Anyhoo, shall leave it for people to make their own minds up, and would love to hear the opinions of those who understand tech better than I Grin

The Big Brother watch document is brilliant. Am working my way through it. Doing a great job @MistressoftheDarkSide

Liberty are quiet. I know they are involved but thought they would be more outspoken. Big Brother Watch have been excellent. Silkie Carlo has been all over the media doing the job MPs and the press should be doing.
