Db just booked age 50 on national site

Lancs

No underlying issues

Pearl97 · 17/03/2021 07:22

The site now says over 50’s

WombatChocolate · 17/03/2021 07:31

It clearly won’t be long before over 40s can book on national site. Front page might not be updated for a week, but I’d expect the upper 40s will be able to book by the weekend/end of weekend.

Wow...that means all of group 1-9 have essentially been offered it and 4 weeks before the date they were aiming for. Excellent,

middleager · 17/03/2021 10:07

Hope it does come by the weekend for the late 40s.

Cases popping up at our schools now.

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 17/03/2021 10:14

Friend's partner had a text yesterday - 50, no underlying conditions

TooManyPlatesInMotion · 17/03/2021 10:29

I am 41, as is DH. London zone 2. Not been called yet.

mumwalk · 17/03/2021 15:33

@WombatChocolate alas, not all across the UK. I think it is only England that are eligible for the NHS site and we're still working our way through group 7 in Scotland.

ItsIgginningtolooklikelockdown · 17/03/2021 15:36

After mumwalk, also problems with people where I live not getting their letters through the post. No online system.

bitheby · 17/03/2021 15:36

I got my appointment this morning for next week. I'm 44.

Springersrock · 17/03/2021 15:51

Our local press has just announced they’re starting on the 50+ from next week.

We have a very high elderly population proportionally which has taken a while to get through, so it should speed up through the next groups

Absy · 17/03/2021 15:59

I know someone in Scotland early 40s who is booked in, but they have asthma (have to take a steroid inhaler, have been hospitalised a few times because of it), but they had to hound their GP.

mumwalk · 17/03/2021 16:19

@absy people with health conditions are getting done just now, so assume this is why your friend is booked in. Other than that most of the 60-65s I know have only just received a letter and nobody I know 50-59 has heard anything (other than NHS, CEV etc).

HSHorror · 17/03/2021 16:28

It makes little sense, a mid 40s was just telling me they booked with i think our gp (grp 6 finished and calling 50s) yet that gp on fb saying we are calling 50s now then 40s but 40s will be in groups by age...
Possibly it's a slightly diff practice and they do them separately

MirandaWest · 17/03/2021 16:38

I’m 45 and DH is 48. We’re near York and neither of us has any underlying conditions. Neither of us has heard anything yet.
We live nearby to one of the mass vaccination sites so likely we’d go there anyway.

Ilovemypyjamas2021 · 17/03/2021 16:41

My husband 49 was able to book via the national booking website this morning. I received a text from the GP this morning to book mine. Don’t think it will be long before DH gets a text - we’re in West Sussex

Ilovemypyjamas2021 · 17/03/2021 16:43

I should have said too I’m 50

HSHorror · 17/03/2021 16:47

Managed to book! At gp due to asthma hospitalisation.
Phew!

AgainstTheCurrent · 17/03/2021 16:50

@MNnicknameforCVthreads my DN is 24 and got a call from our local Drs today and is booked in for hers Saturday. No reason at all, she is fit healthy etc. Her Dad has his Friday (over 50) on Friday. I am 45 and at same Drs but had no call yet.

Not sure what is going on in our town other than we are in top 5 areas for infection rate.

OllysArmy · 17/03/2021 16:54

We are Hertfordshire and our area is on the just over 50s currently booking for next week (about 1 week wait when you get the text from your GP).
Not sure what the 5 o'clock announcement is going to mean is there is another supply issue

Stillgoings · 17/03/2021 16:56

North Cumbria. Our GPs are still on group 6. The 60-65s are still waiting to be called. Our nearest mass vaccination sites are half an hour away so lots of people seem to be wanting to wait for the GPs and many people are still thinking that the national booking system is pushing in and are insisting on waiting until they get their letters. I'm 47 and will be at the mass vaccination centre the second it opens up. Currently checking about twice a day and hoping PP is right that it will be very soon!!

WreckTangled · 17/03/2021 16:58

Our GP put out a message to ask that anyone over 50 who hadn't had theirs yet call them as they've called everyone in that category that's on their list. Guess they'll be doing over 45 now? Plus second doses.

H1978 · 17/03/2021 17:02

Dh and I, both in our 40’s, no health conditions, not been called yet. We’re in West Yorkshire. I have heard of people younger with no conditions having had the vaccine so not sure how people are prioritised.

Shosha1 · 17/03/2021 17:02

42 year old DS has his on Friday in Dorset. Mild asthma though, so think that's why.

ProfYaffle · 17/03/2021 17:03

I'm 49, got a call from the GP on Monday, jab booked for Saturday. I'm in Norfolk

Pastanred · 17/03/2021 17:08

News saying massive reduction in vaccines from end of March for a month!

I wander if the next phase isn’t happening now
