I feel really guilty. I don't want to tell anyone because I feel like I'm jumping the queue and I'll be judged!

whatswithtodaytoday · 10/03/2021 14:22

I know a 48 year old with no conditions who's just had his, in mid-Essex.

PeasPeasPeas · 10/03/2021 14:38

My 39 year old DH had his at the weekend. He has very mild asthma which I didn't think would get priority.

Strawberryfelineforever · 11/03/2021 11:58

My 47 year old aunt had hers today in Luton.

CovidPostingName · 11/03/2021 14:54

My bil has just been called at 45 in Christchurch, Bournemouth.

Lumene · 11/03/2021 18:28

Two mid 40s in London this week.

namechange63524 · 12/03/2021 12:38

Yep. Next weekend. London borough

Abraxan · 12/03/2021 17:50

In some areas, yes.
Dh's colleague and his wife are mid 40s and had theirs two weeks ago. Surgery was ready to begin their age group.

A surgery in south west Sheffield.

Abraxan · 12/03/2021 17:51

@Mindymomo

In my area in Surrey, we are still doing 56 to 59 and group 6 with existing conditions. I am 59 and managed to book mine for next week, friends aged 56 are not eligible yet.
Your friends are eligible to book via the national site if they are 55+ - no need to wait for an invitation letter or rest. Anyone in England over 55+ can book in.
WinterHoliday · 12/03/2021 21:10

I'm early 40s in inner London and haven't heard anything. However, my friend who lives in the same street had his three weeks ago. He's 48 and has no health problems. He assumed I would have been contacted too but we're registered at different surgeries so maybe that makes a difference.

I'm not overly concerned as I wouldn't have expected to hear anything yet.

kittensarecute · 12/03/2021 21:12

I'm 35, not vulnerable in any way and no health issues and I'm getting mine tomorrow.

Vegiereggie · 12/03/2021 21:22

DP 47 no medical issues has been called. South london.

Ludoole · 12/03/2021 21:26

I'm 44, not vulnerable and had mine Tuesday. West Midlands area.

chipsandgin · 12/03/2021 21:56

Several friends in London late forties have had theirs, no other criteria than age & a couple of friends In Hampshire who are mid-40s. I’ve heard parts of Somerset are now well into the over 50s - so 40-49 may be next week.

I’m hoping (at 49) that I’ll get the call in the next couple of weeks...maybe sooner if pp’s above are anything to go by, fingers crossed!

PrimulaAuricula · 12/03/2021 22:56

I know of 4 Group 9 people aged 50-53 who were texted to make an appointment at a local GP hub in East Surrey next week

Keepyourdistance000 · 12/03/2021 22:59

Wiltshire/Somerset starting on over 50-55's now, so non priority group 40-49s won't be long.

RealisticSketch · 12/03/2021 23:05

South Lakeland, Cumbria. 45 no health issues had mine last Saturday, but I think my GP practice must be on the ball as I know others in my area with different practice haven't been offered yet.

Mumof3girlsandaboy · 12/03/2021 23:15

I’m in my early 40s and not heard anything here in Hampshire

ChasingRainbows19 · 12/03/2021 23:37

My area is doing over 50s, they could potentially do the next category as they’ve done so well but they haven’t been given permission so have halted some sites for now. It’s ridiculous, in an area where cases are higher than the England average and and bubbles already popping in schools too, you would think areas would be allowed to proceed how they see fit and get vaccine into people ASAP but no not allowed until permission granted

StarCourt · 12/03/2021 23:39

I'm in group 9 in West Midlands but got the text tonight saying I can make my appointment

pinkcattydude · 12/03/2021 23:47

Berkshire no underlying condition and I got the txt yesterday I’m booked in for next week,

WombatChocolate · 13/03/2021 10:23

Headline in The Telegraph today is that all over 40s will be offered jab before Easter. I couldn’t read it all because behind a paywall, but could see something about the mass surge in vaccine availability from this Monday.

Sounds like over 53s can now book on the national booking system and perhaps all over 50s from Monday, so possibly from the end of next week the upper 40s might be able to access the national system. We are already hearing if lots of local areas where the GP led local vaccine services are contacting over 40s, if their local population demographic has let them get ahead.

It is that all over 40s will be offered it...so not all will actually be vaccinated by Easter. But I think Easter is only about 3 weeks away now, so that will be pretty impressive, even if people can only get appointments for a couple of weeks later.

Eccle80 · 13/03/2021 10:25

@WombatChocolate you can see it well enough to read here (from Sky News)

WombatChocolate · 13/03/2021 10:44

Thanks Eccle.

Well that’s a very encouraging read for anyone.

cyclingtowardsbethlehem · 13/03/2021 16:06

40 here and just been offered it (but vaccination centre not GP). Weirdly the text said 'underlying health condition' but I categorically don't have one. Do all the texts say that?! I'm in London.
