So daft but for me.....IKEA.

I want the familiarity of being corralled around the warehouse, picking up some tea lights and sandwich bags and some meatballs.

I miss IKEA.

Coffee shop. Since we can’t meet indoors, I’d love nothing more than meeting my dad for a coffee and a chat.

TeaAddict235 · 12/02/2021 11:30

Where do you live @FatCatThinCat ? Which town. All I need is a town and I find that pick and mix place. OMG! That looks like heaven!

Fuckadoodledoooo · 12/02/2021 11:32

Charity shops.

I'm skint and they are a lifesaver.

MrsBennetsnerves · 12/02/2021 11:48

Charity shops for me too.

Lovemusic33 · 12/02/2021 11:51

I’m desperate to go to IKEA as dd needs furniture, I went online yesterday to see if they would deliver and was quoted £40 delivery, the items I want only come to £57 😡.

We don’t have a IKEA close by so don’t think it can really do click and collect as it would mean driving for over an hour through 2 different counties.

So yes, IKEA is the only shop I really want to go too, though I’m looking forward to being able to eat out even if it’s outside in a beer garden. I don’t really miss clothes shopping though it would be great if kids could try shoes on as I’m fed up of buying online and they don’t fit so maybe shoe shopping (though I don’t look forward to shoe shopping).

There have been days where I have wished primark was open just for basics.

Lovemusic33 · 12/02/2021 11:52

A big fan of charity shops too

Rockbird · 12/02/2021 11:56

Our Lakeland has closed permanently. I'm absolutely gutted. Sad

SunshineNeededNow · 12/02/2021 11:57

None really as I'm not a fan of shopping unless have to.
However one of my good ikea storage boxes broke for the kids crafts so wouldn't mind going there.

dancinfeet · 12/02/2021 11:59

IKEA and primark, I would love a kallax unit, and I need new pants

Insomniacexpress · 12/02/2021 12:00

Zara- as it’s so hit and miss on quality I want to look and try on first. And John Lewis for the kitchen and home bits.

Misericordia · 12/02/2021 12:04

I love scented stuff so I'd go to a yankee candle shop and sniff the candles. Or a Lush. Sniffing lush stuff through a face mask wasn't quite the same as I couldn't smell anything!

TheChampagneGalop · 12/02/2021 12:19

I don't miss any shops, but I miss the feeling of browsing a shop or a grocery store full of people without feeling stressed about covid.

BlackeyedSusan · 12/02/2021 12:22

Charity shops.

CoteFolie · 12/02/2021 12:31

John Lewis, Lakeland, book shops, IKEA, coffee and cake and to go food shopping rather than have delivery. I want to see what's there that I've forgotten about or never even noticed.

I had a long period of medical treatment a few years ago that meant I wasn't able to go out very much. This is similar in some ways and I remember being thrilled by just doing ordinary stuff again.

mootymoo · 12/02/2021 12:31

Dunelm, just moved

M0rT · 12/02/2021 12:33

Pyewhacket · 12/02/2021 12:33

LeahDownTheLane · 12/02/2021 12:34

Homesense.

PickAChew · 12/02/2021 12:35

Paperchase, if ours survives. I need some more pretty lever arch files.

DragonPoop · 12/02/2021 12:36

Funnily enough primark! I need all new leggings and basic T-shirt, pjs, knickers etc as I’ve lost 10 stone since the first lock down and I’m losing more, so don’t want to spend a lot on things/basics that I know won’t last me long. Plus I’m on a very tight budget at the moment!

HauntedPencil · 12/02/2021 12:37

I want to go to IKEA, but I'm saving it for when the cafes are open and I can have a plate of celebratory meatballs. This is my life now.

PickAChew · 12/02/2021 12:40

And definitely tkmaxx. I want to browse the kitchen implements that I never knew I needed.

Smileyoriley · 12/02/2021 12:46

Charity shops mostly but also TK Maxx and JL

Ginfordinner · 12/02/2021 12:49
