It’s back under a new name “clap for heroes.”

No.

Funkypolar · 06/01/2021 13:31

I for one, did not participate last time and shan’t this time.

YABU - you’ll clap
YANBU - no clapping

carlaCox · 06/01/2021 13:32

Oh please no. Spare us

MrsApplepants · 06/01/2021 13:32

No. Didn’t do it last time either. Waste of time

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 06/01/2021 13:32

Nope. I didnt do it before and I'm not about to start now.

MoltenLasagne · 06/01/2021 13:32

God no.

Housing101 · 06/01/2021 13:32

I did participate each and every week last time around. I'm not sure yet if I would do the same this time around.
Possibly?

SquirmOfEels · 06/01/2021 13:33

I hadn't spotted that it was back

If I hear it happening, I'll prob pop out and wave at the neighbours. But not otherwise

HadEnoughOfBears · 06/01/2021 13:33

No

Viviennemary · 06/01/2021 13:33

No way. Whose idea was it to start up this patronising nonsense again.

sanityisamyth · 06/01/2021 13:33

Not a-fucking-gain 😡 why?! I didn't do it last time and certainly not going to help resurrect it now.

aquashiv · 06/01/2021 13:33

No, it's just patronising bollix now.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 06/01/2021 13:33

(I should add... no, because it allows the government to believe / feed into a ‘feel good factor’ and a ‘spirit’ that they will politicise, spin and use as evidence of popularity. And they can go fuck themselves as they have caused this unholy shit show. I think the people carrying the country through this - NHS, police, mental health workers, teachers, retail etc deserve pay rises not patronising).

Justcallmebebes · 06/01/2021 13:34

And that's a no from me. Didn't first time either and as I work in clinical negligence it would be very hypocritical of me to do so

God no. Complete drivel.

aquashiv · 06/01/2021 13:35

I will do the moony for the government every evening at dusk

BogRollBOGOF · 06/01/2021 13:36

Fuck no.

lucywho123 · 06/01/2021 13:36

Unless 1 clap = a bonus to the carers we're clapping, no

BamboozledandBefuddled · 06/01/2021 13:37

No. And if we have to put up with a bloke over the road trying to play a fucking trumpet again, things aren't going to be ending well for him.

LeSangeEstDansLarbre · 06/01/2021 13:37

I’d rather everyone took that 5 minutes to email their MP to lobby for a pay rise for frontline NHS staff, and a realistic rise in NMW to give a realistic wage for the other support staff it’s supposed to celebrate, such as carers and people working in the food supply chain.

LucilleTheVampireBat · 06/01/2021 13:37

Not if you paid me a million pounds per pointless pathetic clap, no.

Justiceishalfblind · 06/01/2021 13:38

"No. And if we have to put up with a bloke over the road trying to play a fucking trumpet again, things aren't going to be ending well for him."

Huzzah!

SoupDragon · 06/01/2021 13:39

No because it's bloody stupid.

I'll do my bit by following the rules instead.

MummaBear4321 · 06/01/2021 13:39

Not a hope. I did last time because DH and the neighbours peer pressured me into it, and you couldnt be seen to not support the NHS, but my god it boiled my blood every week. My sister is an ICU nurse. She needs a pay rise and counselling, not a bloody clap.
