What do you think Boris is going to announce tomorrow? Is he going to announce a full lockdown the day before Christmas Eve?

OP posts:
Frazzled2207 · 22/12/2020 20:43

Well if the daily fail is saying it it must be true Hmm
However it would be daft to delay any tiering decisions for a week the way things are going

ineedaholidaynow · 22/12/2020 20:44

@kittensarecute have you got someone you can speak to in RL

PussyCatInChristmasStockings · 22/12/2020 20:46

Maybe he's going to resign?🤞🏻🙏🏻

Tyranttoddler · 22/12/2020 20:46

@kittensarecute

I'm holding out for Christmas day then I'm done. I don't want to live with these constant lockdowns and restrictions anymore. Everything that makes me happy is gone and I can't cope with it anymore.
Do you have family at home? Have you got anyone you can tell how you feel?

I have my mum and I can form a support bubble with dad as he lives alone and he lives nearby so i hope Boris doesn't scrap support bubbles.

tootyfruitypickle · 22/12/2020 20:47

@kittensarecute is there anyone you can call? When I find things hard I literally take things half a day at a time, and distract myself, have a walk, find a box set (16 series of greys anatomy !). One foot in front of the other. There is hope, six months ago we didn’t even known there would be a vaccine. It will end.

Agree with the Fail et al. Expansion of Tier 4 from Boxing Day. I work for a Council in one of the affected areas and we were told this afternoon.

This is all just temporary. Please try to talk to a friend or someone who can offer coping mechanisms. I’m sorry you’re suffering.
ineedaholidaynow · 22/12/2020 20:48

@kittensarecute I can't see him getting rid of support bubbles

ofwarren · 22/12/2020 20:49

The Mirror mentioning possible full lockdown too

SophieB100 · 22/12/2020 20:49

I think a full lockdown is sadly inevitable and necessary. Including schools.
The countries that have closed their borders to us - they need to see Boris throw everything at this to instil confidence.
I think it will be from the weekend.

nosswith · 22/12/2020 20:50

More tier 4 areas are coming I am sure. Just a case of where and when. Announcing them tomorrow especially for Hampshire which should have joined Portsmouth/Gosport (as the token member of the public queried yesterday) would not be a surprise.

At least St Peter has one simple decision when the time comes.

tootyfruitypickle · 22/12/2020 20:50

@kittensarecute stop reading this site and watch something escapist. Lots of people on Twitter saying how amazing Schitts Creek has been for distraction this year

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 22/12/2020 20:51

He won't get rid of support bubbles.

willsantausesantatize · 22/12/2020 20:52

Will be brush his hair this time?

nosswith · 22/12/2020 20:52

Michael Gove wanting restrictions more than some other cabinet ministers is consistent with what has been previously reported.

Unsure33 · 22/12/2020 20:52

Support bubbles have been there from the start . They won’t go .

But I think it might be full lockdown . Makes sense while schools are off . Wales especially are in big trouble ( not boris fault) the army are in .

Crazycatlady83 · 22/12/2020 20:52

Is it that he will resign?! One can live in hope!

Or Whitty has now been appointed to the new role of “President”

wanderings · 22/12/2020 20:52

The word "plunged" is overused.

Is someone writing Boris's resignation speech? Is the Queen about to give him his marching orders? Or is that too much to hope for?

ineedaholidaynow · 22/12/2020 20:53

I would second watching Schitts Creek for escapism

Unsure33 · 22/12/2020 20:53

@Crazycatlady83

That won’t make the virus go away .

What would you do if you were in his position , taking into account the scientific information he is given ?

chomalungma · 22/12/2020 20:54

Alas, fa na fa na fa na,
We're being plunged into Tier 4.

LadyofMisrule · 22/12/2020 20:54

Well my bets would be on (a) he's fcked the country over Brexit, or (b) he's fcked the country over Covid.

Probably both.
