How many times has your family isolated

A lady on another thread said they have been isolating on and off since September, as childrens bubble at school kept having cases. I wonder is this normal? My family and I haven’t had to isolate at all yet, which I know could happen at any time. How many times have you had to self isolate since September and what area are you in?

None. South East, Berkshire

MsAwesomeDragon · 28/11/2020 18:01

None since September. That's pure luck though, as my sister's kids have had 2 lots of isolation each.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 28/11/2020 18:01

Had to isolate in March... Kids had coughs, DHs work sent them all home for two weeks after a speedy return from France.
Not since then... That's DH working outside the home throughout, and 2 children returned to school in September.
School had its first case last weekend. (Out of approx 500 people)
Tier 3- Lincolnshire (but not the hotspot areas).

NotGenerationAlpha · 28/11/2020 18:02

None. I think it depends on where you are.

Both dd's - separate schools, once each,
Whole family twice but only whilst awaiting results so a day or two

happytoday73 · 28/11/2020 18:05

Greater Manchester... 2 seperate days waiting for result (one in October, one in July).
My friend in another GM area eldest has isolated 3x, 2nd child 2x since back in Sept. Primary aged child hasn't had too. But obviously that's only for that child not all of them.
Only 1 class in my child's primary has isolated (once), secondary I've had 4 notes about cases in same year since half term but not had to isolate.

twinkletoesimnot · 28/11/2020 18:11

Norfolk
I'm in the middle of my first time as my bubble has 4 cases (atm) - I'm a primary teacher.

Ds 3 -year 10, has had to once. He went back last week.

terriblyangryattimes · 28/11/2020 18:11

None here. Sussex, two young kids (5 and 7) who are in different schools.
I'm working from home and husband in (large but very covid secure) office twice a week.

Todaytomorrow09 · 28/11/2020 18:12

None - two separate schools & just outside London

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 28/11/2020 18:12

Three. Two short ones (DD had a cold and fever, negative test, late Sept. DS had a heavy cold which made him cough incessantly, negative test) and one long one (outbreak at DH's work, he had a headache then a temp of 39, positive test). I can see more in our future, especially as DS takes after me with all his colds going to his chest.
